And what a joy it was to be joined by a man who played in a band with David Bowie, co-founded the newspaper The Voice, wrote Too Close To Heaven (a seminal history of gospel music), and as CEO and owner of the Premises Studio has guided the space through an ever changing socio-political and economic landscape - firmly establishing it as one of London's most cherished working studios and multi-purpose artistic spaces. Join us as we discuss Nina Simone, Blur's hidden jazz chops, and Pete Doherty's mice, interwoven with the story of a humble gentleman who has lived an extraordinary life. A name that resonates globally as the pinnacle of all of the above. A space that has hosted the likes of Wagner, Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan, Quincy Jones, Pavarotti, Frank Sinatra, to name a few. And the countless men and women who have changed the course of history, names such as Albert Einstein, Nelson Mandela, Muhammad Ali, Emmeline Pankhurst and Stephen Hawking.
