In Right Relationship with a Living Economy | John Fullerton

What would a regenerative economy look like if we designed it the way life works?  In this conversation on the @MAGICommons Dialogic Lab, former Wall Street-er and modern regenerative economist @John Fullerton, founder of @Capital Institute and author of Regenerative Economics, explains why conventional economics treats the economy as "a machine to be optimized," and why that worldview lies at the root of today's ecological and inequality crises.  Drawing on living systems thinking, John shares the principle he considers most essential: being in right relationship.  From the personal shift out of "never enough" to organizations like Mondragon and Patagonia composting capital back into life, this conversation explores how regenerative vitality emerges at every scale and offers some key questions to guide decisions toward flourishing for all.  Key questions to explore: What is a regenerative economy? What does "right relationship" mean in economics? How is regenerative economics different from conventional economics? What are examples of regenerative enterprises? Kindness in Action | Aaron Ableman

Ask most people the difference between kindness and compassion and you'll get a pause, then a shrug — they feel like the same thing wearing different clothes.  But the distinction matters more than almost any other in how we actually live, because it explains why so much sincere feeling never becomes anything.  Compassion is interior: it's what you perceive, what you feel on someone else's behalf.  Kindness is exterior: it's what you do about it.  In a conversation, author and artist Aaron Ableman shares the cleanest explanation — "If compassion is the composition of the song, then kindness is actually the lyrics and the performance of it. One is written. The other is played out loud.” What follows is an argument for why compassion in action, at the smallest possible scale, may be the only thing that changes anything. #Compassion, #Kindness, #RegenerativeLife, #DeathEconomy, #SelfCompassion, #Consciousness, #ParadigmShift, #RegenerativeFutures #ConsciousLeadership, #BePresent, #Storytelling, #Fatherhood  Full story: http://magicommons.org/podcast-episode/kindness-in-action-aaron-ableman  00:00 Introduction to Aaron Abelman 01:36 The Power of Kindness 03:29 Influence of the human 05:17 Kindness + Compassion 08:17 Importance of Self Kindness 10:35 Stories of Kindness 13:12 Gaia's Game: A New Kind of Learning 15:50 Transforming Consciousness for a Kinder World 22:32 Turn Consumption into Conscious Integration 28:37 How to transform our life into a life of service 28:44 Being Deeply Present in life 37:01 Be in Service in the World 45:15 Empowering Narratives in Storytelling 46:01 Creating Shifts Through Kindness and Compassion 47:12 The Role of Humor in Life 48:36 Inviting Playfulness in Life's Journey 50:15 Exploring the Quantum Field of Existence 51:20 The Dance of Light and Dark 54:01 Childhood Magic and Connection to Nature 58:30 Finding Beauty in Small Moments 01:00:25 The Impact of Awe and Wonder on Life 01:05:19 Prioritizing the Small Things in Life 01:08:33 Embracing the Journey of Evolution 01:11:12 Opening to Possibility and Inner Guidance 01:12:53 Closing Reflections and Blessings

Deep Connections Start with an Intentional Arrival | Abraham Burickson

Why do we stand in front of great art — in the world's finest museums, surrounded by masterworks — and feel absolutely nothing? The answer, according to experience architect Abraham Burickson, has nothing to do with the art. It has everything to do with how we arrive.  Abraham unpacks what he calls the infrastructure of wonder: the hidden conditions that have to exist before any experience — a painting, an event, a human encounter — can actually land.  What gets in the way of being moved?  Why does physical movement unlock emotional openness?  How does clarity of role make people feel safe enough to receive something?  And what does any of this mean in a world where AI is quietly engineering away the conditions for genuine human experience?  If you have ever wondered why transformative experiences feel so rare, this is where to start. Rewriting Our Hidden Codes | Scott Silverston

Ever feel like we are living a life by a set of rules we didn't even actually write?  In our latest conversation with Scott Silverston, a former corporate leader turned shamanic practitioner, he shared an interesting concept: "Invisible Agreements." These are the subconscious contracts we sign as kids or adults to stay safe or to fit in. Those hidden agreements can create massive glass ceilings in our adult lives, careers, and relationships. In this conversation, we explored how to actually identify these hidden codes and rewrite them using practical, modern shamanic tools (no, you don't need to quit your job and move to the woods to do this!).  What are your invisible agreements? http://magicommons.org/podcast-episode/rewriting-our-hidden-codes-scott-silverston  #ModernShamanism #ShamanicHealing #InvisibleAgreements #SubconsciousProgramming #RadicalAgency 00:00 Introduction to Invisible Agreements 03:40 Understanding Subconscious Agreements 06:07 The Impact of Childhood Environment 09:03 Shamanism and Its Modern Relevance 11:31 Exploring Sensitivity and Hypervigilance 14:13 The Process of Shamanic Healing 16:36 Revising Agreements Through Shamanic Consciousness 19:12 Common Requests in Shamanic Practice 27:02 Embodiment in Healing Practices 33:00 Transformative Agreements and Personal Boundaries 39:32 Understanding Spiritual Forces and Energetic Relationships 46:11 Ancestral Connections and Shamanic Lineage 52:41 The Role of Rhythm and Movement in Shamanism 57:45 Transformative Power of Shamanic Spirit Medicine 58:39 Exploring Probable and Possible Futures 01:00:17 Balancing Spirit and Logic 01:01:10 Radical Agency and Personal Empowerment 01:03:04 Sourcing Creative Vitality 01:09:52 Practical Shamanism for Everyday Life 01:10:26 Accessing the Spirit Mind for Healing 01:16:19 The Symbolism of the Eagle and Big Picture Thinking

On Eating, Place, and Presence | Caroline Hobkinson

What if your morning coffee was actually a food ritual — and your relationship with food said more about your inner world than any personality test ever could? In this episode, we sit down with Caroline Hobkinson, food anthropologist, immersive artist, and one of the most original thinkers working at the intersection of mindful eating, culture, and the senses. Together, we explore how intentional eating goes far beyond nutrition — how food rituals anchor us in an age of digital disconnection, how communal eating is quietly one of the most powerful tools for human belonging, and why what we put in our bodies is, on a cellular level, more intimate than almost anything else we do. If you've ever wondered why the bubble tea queue feels sacred, why you still bring cheese home from Paris, or what food anthropology actually means for your everyday life — this conversation is for you. Press play, then eat something slowly. Science of Internal Resilience | Dr. Rollin McCraty

We’ve long been taught that the brain runs the show, but modern psychophysiology is flipping the script. The heart actually sends more signals to the brain than the other way around.  In our latest breakdown of heart coherence, featuring HeartMath Institute's Dr. Rollin McCraty, we explore how your Heart Rate Variability (HRV) reflects our mental clarity, emotional composure, and even your team's success.  When we are stressed, our chaotic heart rhythms take our decision-making skills offline. By mastering the heart-brain connection through heart-focused breathing practices, we could cultivate deep internal resilience both individually and together.  Maybe heart coherence is a key to unlock a culture of collective vitality and flourishing?
