BIG Talks | Stephen Kafeero: What Happens When Your One Income Stops?

If your main income stopped tomorrow, how long could you keep going? For many of us, our entire financial life depends on one tap — one salary, one business, or one main source of income. In Episode 6 of BIG Talks, Stephen Kafeero explores how to begin building additional income streams gradually, wisely, and responsibly. This isn't about starting seven businesses or chasing get-rich-quick schemes. It's about learning a simple framework: 💰 EARN IT – Build dependable income 🛡️ KEEP IT – Create financial margin 🏗️ BUILD IT – Develop another income-producing skill, business or asset 📈 MULTIPLY IT – Allow assets and investments to begin working alongside you And perhaps your next income stream is already hidden in a skill, experience, or resource you already possess. Don't try to build everything at once. Build one. Strengthen it. Then build the next. BIG Talks — Changing Mindsets. Building Wealth. Transforming Lives. BIG Talks | Pastor Jonathan Kamya: Don’t Eat Your Seed! Why You MUST Save for Your Future - Part 2

💰 DON’T EAT YOUR SEED — GUARD IT SO YOU CAN GROW IT. Why should you save? Is saving simply about having money sitting in an account — or is there a much bigger biblical and financial purpose behind it? In Part 2 of this powerful BIG Talk, Pastor Jonathan Kania takes us deeper into the principle of **GUARD IT** and explains why saving today can profoundly influence the life you live tomorrow. One sobering reality is that we are all getting older. The financial decisions we make today can determine whether, later in life, we remain financially independent and able to bless the next generation — or become completely dependent upon others. The Bible teaches: “A good person leaves an inheritance for their children's children.” — Proverbs 13:22 That requires preparation. Pastor Jonathan identifies several powerful reasons to develop the discipline of saving: 🔹 Prepare for later life — What you do financially today influences the choices available to you tomorrow. 🔹 Build a legacy — Biblical stewardship should ultimately extend beyond ourselves to our children and children's children. 🔹 Avoid unnecessary spending — Money without purpose can easily disappear through impulsive and unplanned expenditure. 🔹 **Be ready for opportunities** — Investment opportunities may appear unexpectedly, but without available capital, we may be unable to take advantage of them. 🔹 Create financial freedom and choice — Savings can give you greater ability to make decisions rather than allowing circumstances to make them for you. 🔹 Build discipline — Financial discipline developed in one area can strengthen discipline in other areas of life. And perhaps the most important message: START. Don't wait until you have £1,000. Don't wait for the perfect salary. Don't wait until everything is comfortable. Start with what is in your hand. The purpose of starting small is not merely the amount accumulated. You are developing the habit. Pastor Jonathan reminds us that knowledge alone is not enough. Scripture calls us to become **doers and not merely hearers. So after watching this episode, ask yourself: What financial decision am I going to make TODAY because of what I have heard? Remember our BIG principles: 🔑 GET IT 🛡️ GUARD IT 🌱 GROW IT 🤲🏾 GIVE IT You cannot grow what you don't have. And you cannot give what you haven't retained. Don't eat all your seed. Guard some of it — because today's seed could become tomorrow's harvest. 📖 Scriptures: Proverbs 13:22 | James 1:22 BIG – Business Increase Growth Biblical principles. Practical financial wisdom. BIG Talks | IIt’s Not How Much You Earn — It’s How Much You Keep | Pastor Jonathan Kamya: It’s Not How Much You Earn — It’s How Much You Keep

💰 **You can’t guard what you don’t have. You can’t grow what you haven’t kept.** In Part 1 of this powerful BIG Talk, Pastor Jonathan Kamya shares his personal journey of learning one of the simplest — yet most transformative — principles of wealth building: **SAVE CONSISTENTLY.** After more than 25 years of working, Pastor Jonathan realised that earning money did not automatically mean he was building wealth. Inspired by a simple savings challenge undertaken by two young children, he decided to change his own financial habits. He started small. £20 a month became £10 a week. Consistency created progress. Progress created motivation. And motivation encouraged him to increase what he was saving. Using the story of **Joseph and Pharaoh in Genesis 41**, Pastor Jonathan shows that saving is not merely modern financial advice — it reflects a biblical principle of preparing during seasons of abundance for seasons when resources may be scarce. Joseph's strategy was simple: during the seven years of abundance, **20% was set aside** in preparation for the years of famine. This conversation also challenges one of our biggest assumptions about money: **It is not simply how much you earn that determines your financial position. It is what you do with what you earn.** Someone earning £3,000 and consistently saving £500 can finish the year with more than someone earning £5,000 but spending almost everything. And someone continually spending more than they earn may be quietly building debt regardless of how impressive their income appears. The journey therefore begins with a decision: **Get it. Guard it. Grow it. Give it.** In this episode you’ll discover: • Why saving must become a habit • Why you should start with an amount you can sustain • How small financial victories create motivation • The biblical wisdom behind saving • Why income alone does not create wealth • Why controlling expenditure matters • Why savings eventually need to be invested and grown • How consistent stewardship can change your financial future 📖 **Key Scripture: Genesis 41** Whatever you earn today, start somewhere. £5. £10. £20. £100. The amount matters less at the beginning than establishing the **discipline and consistency**. 👉🏾 Watch, share and ask yourself: **“Am I simply earning money — or am I actually building something with it?”** **BIG – Business Increase Growth** *Get it. Guard it. Grow it. Give it.* Whether you attended in person or are watching from across the world, we pray this message ignites a deeper hunger to partner with God in this next season. 📲 Stay connected: • Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, X (Twitter): @mylcfchurch 🔔 Turn on post notifications, to be notified directly when we are live and share this message so that others can encounter God too! https://linktr.ee/libertychristianfellowship
