    Apocalypto

In this passionate episode, we delve into the imbalances and absurdities of the modern world, reflecting on the apparent loss of perspective by the masses and our own evolving perceptions. Drawing on our experience of living non-traditional, unconventional, alternative lifestyles for a combined total of over 100 years, we explore avenues for navigating this rapidly changing landscape within ourselves (inlcuding our relationship to God/Spirit) and ponder how we can actively shape a newer, better world, all while acknowledging the elements seemingly beyond our control, whether we term them fate, destiny, karma and/or prophecies. Relationships

Simone and Troy snuggle up together on one side of the booth to explore, discuss and examine the nature of relationships, including their own, which is currently in “long-term, long-distance” mode. They discuss both healthy and unhealthy relationship dynamics, their own learning process and the elements that have sustained, enhanced and deepened their relationship over time, and the importance of committing to one’s own growth and development as an aspect of being in a thriving twosome. They also spend time looking at the pros, cons and realities of open relationships and the reasons they have chosen to remain monogamous.  Connect with Simone (https://somahjourneys.net/), Brother (pwo1@aol.com) and/or Troy (https://www.wisdomwarriorcoaching.com/) for individual mindfulness mentoring, spiritual guidance and coaching sessions, plus information about group trainings, workshops and retreats. Join Simone and Troy during their upcoming “49 Days of Embodied Spiritual Practice” with Dr. Michael Smith. A Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctor and an advanced practitioner of meditation, Qigong and other martial arts, Michael is one of the smartest, most skillful, and most humble people we know. Each week of the process will offer a unique opportunity to practice, interact, inquire, learn, and heal with a community of others who have made the same commitment to cultivating and refining a daily, personal practice. Each day of the week also has a specific theme and intention, creating an enfolded and unfolding 49-day fractal-like journey Home – to your unique and inherently authentic Embodied Spiritual Nature. We will join Michael and a few other Embodied Awareness experts for seven weeks of daily practice. We’re inviting you to check out this potentially life-changing and soul-affirming opportunity to learn from and engage with an international community, with facilitators who will respectfully share many wisdom traditions from around the world. Here is the link!: https://lnkd.in/gzzgPNaV The 49 days of Embodied Spiritual Practice begins March 18th and supports you daily until May 6th. We will all begin with a daily guided meditation, a short breathwork session, and a wisdom teaching. This “opening to our practice” usually lasts about 20 minutes. This will be followed by a 20 to 30-minute Qigong, Yoga, or other agility and Embodied Awareness practice. Every day will end with a 20-minute Q&A session to ensure you are comfortable and confident with all the new practices. Joy, Levity, Play and Humor

We reunite at the diner to discuss the lighter sides of life, with a huge helping of humor as our main dish. In a world that seems - and perhaps is - increasingly complex and demanding, it’s all the more important that we allow our essential humanity to shine through. We are, at our healthiest, a joyful, playful and funny species a great deal of the time. We explore our relationship to humor, our appreciation of it, its various forms and expressions throughout the world, and we introduce a surprise special guest, Gil Fisher. Troy regrets not paying his respects to the late, great Richard Pryor and George Carlin (not to mention all the brilliant and hilarious comediennes!) in mentioning other great American comics. Money, Capitalism, and Inequality

In this solo “mini-cast” Troy sits alone at the diner and expresses certain sentiments regarding the concept of money, the financial system, common beliefs about $$$, the perceived “poverty within wealth” and more. Part rant, part vulnerable sharing of his own “shadow side”, and partly an invitation to acknowledge the increasing disparities that exist, we offer this so that you might more closely examine your own relationship with money.  Connect with Simone (https://somahjourneys.net/), Brother (pwo1@aol.com) and/or Troy (https://www.wisdomwarriorcoaching.com/) for individual mindfulness mentoring, spiritual guidance and coaching sessions, plus information about group trainings, workshops and retreats.

Mental Health - Defining, Exploring, Experiencing and Sustaining It

In this episode, we explore an extremely important, increasingly elusive, and often misunderstood concept: Mental Health. We share our own experiences with it - our ups and downs - as well as many of the tried and true tools and techniques we have used over time to steward our minds, to keep them balanced, open, resilient and thriving. We discuss meditation & mindfulness (in its many forms), yoga & yoga nidra, plant medicines and ecstatic dance, and the importance of attuning to nature - including one's own essential nature! Yoga, Authenticity and Aging

We begin today’s conversation by touching on the concepts of authenticity and vulnerability before sharing some stories about our relationship to yoga over time - as practitioners, teachers, yoga business owners and teacher trainers. Our diner session concludes by comparing and contrasting our perspectives on age and aging.
