    The Pool Is Peeling, Obama Shows Class, World Leader Snubs Trump

What happens when government tries to solve a simple problem, spends a pile of money doing it, celebrates the solution, and then discovers the solution has problems of its own? Let’s just say the story gets bluer from there. Meanwhile, Barack Obama is building something in Chicago that says a lot about how he views leadership, public service, and the future. The project itself is interesting. What it represents may be even more interesting. Then there’s a government proposal involving special education oversight and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. A lot of parents are asking questions. Some of those questions are hard to ignore. And finally, a dispute between Donald Trump and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni turns into something neither side can laugh off. What started as a comment quickly became an international headache. From peeling paint to presidential legacies to diplomatic drama, this episode looks at what happens when class, competence, and common sense collide with politics.     A Pool Turns Green, A Bridge Gets Blocked, Trump Gets Ignored

    SEND ME A TEXT MESSAGE NOW The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool had one job. Hold water and look reflective. Somehow it ended up at the center of a political controversy involving algae, treatment systems, blame shifting, and enough finger-pointing to qualify as an Olympic event. Meanwhile, a brand new international bridge connecting Detroit and Windsor, Canada is ready to open. Billions of dollars have already been spent, and suddenly people are asking questions about money, influence, political donations, and whether competition’s still a wonderful thing when somebody important stands to lose from it. Then there’s Senate Republicans, who spent weeks negotiating a compromise designed to help Donald Trump, only to discover that he wasn’t entirely on board with the compromise created to help him. At some point Washington starts sounding less like a government and more like a group project where nobody had read the assignment. What’s amazing is how often simple things become complicated. A pool becomes a political fight. A bridge becomes a power struggle. A nomination hearing becomes a test of whether Trump’s own allies are still willing to change direction every time he changes his mind. The deeper problem isn’t ideology. It isn’t policy. It’s the growing feeling that nobody’s driving the bus anymore, and the passengers are being told to stop asking who has the steering wheel. That’s today’s insight into A WORLD GONE MAD.     Iran And America Reach A Deal. Sort Of. Maybe. Fox Buys Roku. Relax.

    SEND ME A TEXT MESSAGE NOW Iran and America announce a deal. Great news, right? There’s just one small problem. The people who negotiated it seem to be describing two different agreements.  Before anyone starts celebrating peace, stability, and diplomacy, it might help if everybody could agree on what they actually agreed to. Then things get even stranger. Gavin Newsom says federal agents are knocking on doors looking for information about him and his wife. According to Newsom, they’re not investigating a crime. They’re looking for one. If that’s true, what exactly happened to the idea that evidence comes before the target? And because apparently everything must eventually become about Donald Trump, America’s 250th birthday celebration will also include what Trump is calling the most spectacular Trump rally of them all! Complete with Trump branding, Trump messaging, and even Trump’s playlist. Somehow the country’s birthday has become another campaign event. And finally, Fox is buying Roku for $22 billion. The company says it’s about growth, opportunity, and improving the experience for viewers. Sure. Because giant media corporations always spend tens of billions of dollars WITHOUT expecting a little extra influence in return. One deal nobody can explain.  One investigation that raises uncomfortable questions.  One national celebration that somehow circles back to the same person. And one media acquisition that’s supposedly nothing to worry about. That’s today’s insight into A WORLD GONE MAD.     Trump’s Ego Meets A Judge While The Atlantic Ocean Raises Hell

Somebody isn’t telling the same story, and when the stakes involve nuclear negotiations and one of the most volatile regions on Earth, that matters.  I look at the latest claims, the contradictions, and why Americans should be asking a lot more questions before accepting victory speeches at face value. Then there’s the Kennedy Center. A federal judge has rejected an effort to keep Trump’s name attached to the institution while appeals continue.  What should’ve been a cultural story somehow became another battle over branding, recognition, and ego. I explain why this fight says far more about Trump than it does about the Kennedy Center. And finally, scientists may have uncovered new clues behind one of the strangest mysteries on the planet. While much of the Atlantic Ocean continues warming, a giant patch of unusually cold water refuses to follow the rules.  Researchers now believe it could be connected to much larger changes taking place beneath the surface.     Post Office Won’t Deliver Mail Ballots. Trump Fights Sports Host.

    SEND ME A TEXT MESSAGE NOW The Post Office is supposed to deliver the mail. So why is it suddenly being pulled into election battles? A proposal tied to a Trump directive could put mail in ballots at the center of a fight over voter lists, federal authority, and who gets to decide how elections are handled. Why should that concern every American, regardless of party? Then I shift from politics to sports. At least that’s how it starts. A famous sports commentator makes a remark. The President of the United States gets asked about it. Guess what happens next. I look at why every criticism, joke, challenge, or offhand comment seems to require a response from Trump. What does that tell us about leadership, power, and insecurity? Two stories that seem unrelated on the surface. But both raise bigger questions about power, authority, and the growing inability of some people and institutions to stay in their lane. It’s another look at a world that feels a little crazier every day.     The 900 Pound Elephant in the Room? No, Not Trump. His Ego.

This episode looks at the giant ego that seems to demand constant attention, whether it’s politics, national events, the media, or even things that have absolutely nothing to do with him. Apparently every spotlight in America eventually has to be redirected toward one man. I also dive into Trump’s latest confrontation with the press and why so many journalists continue to handle him the wrong way. If reporters want answers, stop arguing, stop debating. Start demanding evidence and keep demanding it until Trump either provides it or melts down trying to avoid it. I’ll talk about why Trump’s favorite strategy never changes, why victimhood remains his political superpower, and why some members of the media still haven’t figured out the most effective way to expose nonsense when it’s happening right in front of them. I’ll tell you who I think is the only person I found so far who knows how to deal with Trump.     House Republicans Defy Trump. Senate Republicans Kneel and Obey

House Republicans just crossed Donald Trump on Ukraine and Russia, two subjects that have been treated like political third rails for years. Nobody announced a rebellion. Nobody held a press conference declaring independence.  But when lawmakers start voting against a man they’ve spent years fearing, excusing, and defending, it’s worth asking what’s changed? The problem is the missiles apparently didn’t get the memo.  While politicians talk about stability and progress, new attacks, new targets, and new questions keep emerging. At some point, reality has a way of interrupting the talking points. Then there are the latest election results from Iowa and California. Political assumptions are being tested, endorsements aren’t landing the way many expected, and voters once again seem determined to remind both parties that they don’t always follow the script.
