A time of isolation, testing, or intense spiritual pressure? If so, you’re in good company. Before Jesus began His public ministry, He was led by the Spirit into the Judean wilderness. For 40 days and 40 nights, He fasted and was alone. But He wasn't truly alone—He was being pursued by the Tempter (Matthew 4:1-11). The Spiritual Battle: Satan didn't attack when Jesus was feeling strong. He waited until He was exhausted and starving. He attacked His identity, His hunger, and His purpose. He offered Jesus shortcuts to power and comfort. The Strategy for Victory: Every time the enemy threw a temptation, Jesus didn't argue with His feelings or rely on His own willpower. He struck back with three simple words: "IT IS WRITTEN." The Weapon: The Word of God. The Result: The enemy fled, and angels came to minister to Him. The Lesson for Us Today: Your "wilderness" isn't a sign that God has abandoned you; often, it’s the training ground for your next season of purpose. Expect Resistance: When you move toward God’s purpose, the enemy will try to distract you. Know Your Weapon: You can’t fight spiritual battles with physical strength.
