    October 2026: Giving

Monthly Meditation: October 2026 (S4, E5) Each month, I share an excerpt from the Wayshowers Philosophy, a spiritual reflection on the current energy patterns shaping our personal, social, and business lives. The excerpt is written in the first person as an opportunity to tune inward and notice what resonates. From there, I share my own experiences, interpretations, and impressions around the month's theme, along with what I feel may be helpful for you to consider in your own journey. As always, take what resonates and make the experience your own. The spiritual theme for October is: Giving If you'd like to explore the complete Wayshowers Philosophy each month, it's included with a Wayshowers College membership. You Can’t Hermit Your Way Out of This

Episode Summary: “You Can’t Hermit Your Way Out of This” (S4, EP4) After listening to a conversation with Vanessa Van Edwards on The Diary of a CEO, I found myself thinking about connection from a different angle, not just as a social skill, but as part of our inner and spiritual growth. In this episode, I reflect on curiosity, the pressure to impress, meeting people where they are, and what our interactions with others can reveal about ourselves. I also share why becoming a better conversationalist has become a personal goal of mine, and why the awkward moments, oversharing, and occasional screw-ups might be just as valuable as the connections that leave us feeling lighter and more energized. Something to Sit With “You can’t hermit your way out of this.” Reflection Questions When you enter a conversation, are you more focused on being curious about the other person or on how they perceive you? What have your interactions with other people been teaching you about yourself lately? Where could you give yourself more grace as you learn to communicate and connect with others? Light of Power

Episode Summary: “Light of Power” (S4, E3) A new spiritual year is here, bringing with it the theme Light of Power. In this episode, I explore what those words have been bringing up for me and some of the deeper ways I’ve been looking at power, patterns, and the energy we move through every day. I also share a few insights and questions that may help you tune into what this theme means for you personally. As you listen, I invite you to trust your own sensitivity and pay attention to whatever stands out—there may be something there for you to work with as you move through the year ahead. Key Highlights Power can be light. Personal power can come through ease, playfulness, simplicity, and the childlike part within us rather than strain or overthinking. Pay attention to your patterns. Our habits and routines reveal where our energy is flowing, and awareness gives us an opportunity to consciously shift the patterns that affect our balance. Start fresh while carrying the wisdom forward. The past can become a source of constructive feedback, helping us recognize what we’ve learned and how we want to move differently in the present. Notable Quotes “My power is light.” “Start first from within, and then you move outward.” “Look at your past from that perspective of constructive criticism. Constructive is the emphasis." Shift the Weight, Trust the Feeling

Episode Summary: “Shift the Weight, Trust the Feeling” (S4, EP2) What started as another Saturday at the Anacostia skating pavilion turned into one of those experiences that stayed with me long after I took the skates off. I was still carrying the memory of a previous fall, and I could feel how easily the past wanted to follow me back onto the rink. Then an experienced skater crossed my path and gave me a few simple pointers—one of which challenged me to loosen my grip on how I thought I needed to find my balance. Somewhere between looking down, closing my eyes, shifting my weight, falling, and getting back up, I started recognizing a familiar lesson about how I move through life and work with my own sensitivity. In this episode, I share what that afternoon showed me about trust, guidance, exploration, and what can happen when I give myself permission to feel my way forward. Key Highlight Growth stays with me: Just like riding a bike or developing any other skill, the things I genuinely learn and build become part of me. Even when I get rusty, that growth is still there. Take Up Your Space

Episode Summary: “Take Up Your Space” (S3, E53) I went to see the campers from the Energizers Creative Arts Summer Camp perform in their show, and I walked away feeling lighter, brighter, and inspired. Watching these kids dance, drum, have fun, and confidently express themselves reminded me how powerful the childlike spirit truly is—and how alive it still is within me. One young performer especially stood out because of the way she confidently took up space, reminding me of my own journey of moving beyond the conditioning to shrink myself, play small, or feel like I’m somehow a bother. In this episode, I reflect on what this experience brought up for me around self-expression, the inner child, and allowing myself to take up space. There were some simple yet powerful reminders that came through that night, and I invite you to tune in and see what resonates with you along the way.   Key Highlight: The confidence and exuberance of the campers became a powerful reminder of what it looks like to express myself freely and take up my space.   Notable quote: “Take up your space. Don’t be sorry for where you are and where you stand, the space that you occupy. That’s yours.”   Wayshowers College Re-discover what life’s all about: https://zurl.to/Eafg Build your inner foundation: https://zurl.to/kyo1 Additional tools & resources: https://wayshowerscollege.com **I only share resources I personally trust. Asking is Tiny but Mighty

Episode Summary: “Asking Is Tiny but Mighty” (S3, E52) In this episode, I reflect on how one simple conversation at work reminded me of the power of asking for clarity instead of operating from assumptions. I’m realizing how easily old patterns, fear, and the stories in my head can create unnecessary pressure when the information I need may already be available to me. Asking questions, getting the facts, and staying open to my inner guidance are ways I can practice greater loyalty and sincerity with myself. Sometimes transformation begins with something tiny: one question, one breath, one intentional shift in direction. Tiny can truly be mighty. Key Highlights Asking creates clarity. A simple question at work showed me how assumptions had limited my awareness of the support and resources already available to me. Awareness creates freedom. Knowing the facts of my situation (materially and spiritually) helps me move beyond rumination and make choices that support my peace, fulfillment, and well-being. Tiny shifts can change my direction. Transformation can begin with a small, intentional adjustment practiced consistently over time. Quote Spotlight  “Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is bondage.”   Wayshowers College Re-discover what life’s all about: https://zurl.to/Eafg Build your inner foundation: https://zurl.to/kyo1 Additional tools & resources: https://wayshowerscollege.com **I only share resources I personally trust. Childlike is the Way

Episode Summary: “Childlike is the Way” (S3, E51) Spending time with my best friends and their kids reminded me of something I once knew naturally: there was a time when I was wild, free, present, and simply enjoying the moment before all the conditioning and programming started piling on. In this episode, I explore why staying childlike is part of staying loyal to myself especially when the noise of the world, my own overthinking, or old concepts pull me away from my center. I share why coming back home to myself has to come first when I feel off my pivot, and how my challenges can become opportunities to regroup, learn, and keep moving instead of becoming something I drag forward with me. For me, being childlike is a form of resilience: keeping my heart light through the storms, following my inner guidance, enjoying the life that is here now, and remembering that heaven is a state of being I carry within me. Key Highlights The childlike part of me is my feeling nature: Before conditioning taught me how I was “supposed” to behave, there was a freer part of me that simply felt, expressed, played, and lived in the moment. Reconnecting with that part is part of my healing and spiritual unfoldment. When I’m off my pivot, I come home first: Whatever energy I’m operating from carries into my actions and presence. Being childlike is resilience: Life will have its storms, falls, and opportunities.
