    Astrology Forecast for the Week of Aug16 to the 22

    We had a whole lot more to say about this week’s astrology than what made it into this video. 😂 We originally recorded a big section on the **Mars–Jupiter square**, then got interrupted and paused the recording. When we came back, that entire first part of the video had vanished. Gone. Apparently Mercury wasn’t finished with us yet. So, we pick things up with **Mars square Neptune** as we move through the space between August’s two eclipses. Mars square Neptune can bring fatigue, overwhelm and the frustrating feeling that you should be doing something without being entirely sure what that something is. But it can also be deeply creative and inspirational—and sometimes the most productive response is to stop pushing and give yourself some room. From there, we move into a fascinating Monday with **Mercury trine Saturn and Venus sextile Jupiter**, followed by several unusually quiet days with the Moon in Scorpio. That quiet gives us some space to go inward, think about boundaries and protection, and process what eclipse season has already stirred up. Later in the week, **Venus opposes Saturn**, bringing relationships, values, people pleasing and boundaries into sharper focus. And then Leo season has one final surprise for us.     The Astrology of August 9th - 15th: Are You Ready for Eclipse Season?

    This week is a big one. Mercury finally leaves Cancer and moves into Leo, Venus is busy making aspects from her own sign of Libra, Mars moves into Cancer — and right in the middle of it all, we have the August 12 total solar eclipse in Leo. We take a closer look at this South Node eclipse and what it might be asking us to release, while also looking at all the astrology happening around it. With plenty of fire and air in the chart, it may be very easy to get swept up in ideas, overthinking and nervous-system overload. Grounding matters. We also talk about the unusual gift of having the Moon, Venus and Sun all in their own signs leading into the eclipse, planetary remediation and charitable giving, and the importance of asking a deceptively simple question: What do I actually want? The eclipse itself isn't tightly connected to everything else happening in the chart, which gives us an interesting possibility: life can keep happening while one particular area asks for our attention, release and adjustment. After the eclipse, things lighten up.     The final week of July 2026 marks a major turning point in the astrology. The Lunar Nodes change signs, Saturn turns retrograde, Jupiter reaches the heart of the Sun (Jupiter cazimi), and the stage is set for an entirely new chapter to begin. A quick Mercury retrograde confession... If you watched this episode and wondered why we never talked about the Aquarius Full Moon—even though it's mentioned in the intro—you're not imagining things! We somehow forgot to discuss it during the recording, despite having the chart ready to share on screen. We recorded a new segment afterward to edit into the episode... and then Mercury retrograde reminded us why backups matter. In the excitement of trying a new workflow, the recording disappeared before we downloaded it, and although Lillian had saved a copy, we couldn't find it. Frustrating? A little. Helpful? Absolutely. Instead of ruining the episode, Mercury retrograde exposed a crack in our production process that we can now fix before it becomes a much bigger problem.
