    060s 1st and 2nd XI Cup R16 - 070s v NZ - 060s World Cup

    We are into August which means knockout county O60s and O70s cricket, the O60s World Cup in Toronto and the O70s ODI series between England and New Zealand  This week was the round of 16 of the O60s Cup competition - so who won the prediction between Grant and Trevor?     Our predictions for 060s 1st XI Cup - Ron's on Songs of Praise - 070s round up

    It's the final week of group matches for the O70s Division One plus we round up the O70s Division 2 and 3 and Divs 4 and 5 of the O60s. And the eagerly awaited O60s World Cup starts in Toronto on August 9th. We’ve struggled to find a comprehensive list of fixtures and info about the format and the grounds but we will be keeping an eye on the action.  O60s county championship knockout matches start on Tuesday August 11th.  We predict who we think will prevail in the round of 16 matches in the O60s Div 1 Cup.     060s ko draws made - 070s full action - Grant's back batting

    It's the final week of group matches for divisions one, two and three in the O60s county championship competitions. We round up the matches and look ahead to the various knockout competition draws with matches in the ko stage starting on August 11th.  We look at all the action across the three divisions of the O70s county championship. In the O70s 1st division there is one more week of group action in which teams can play matches that were previously cancelled.     New Zealand 070s team manager Lindsay Hewitson looks ahead to the Silver Fern Series

    New Zealand O70s are touring England and Wales in August Great therefore to have on Silver Stumps the New Zealand team manager Lindsay Hewitson Lindsay gives us an insight into the tour party. Some of them were over here for the 2024 O70s World Cup. Including in those insights are some interesting skills and experiences that some of the squad have had in their lives including a long distance triathlete, an opera singer, someone whose grandfather was coached by WG Grace and someone who has played representative Cricket for Cornwall, not though the Cornwall where Silver Stumps is based New Zealand O70s will play eight matches in 17 days including three ODI’s starting with a match against Somerset on August 2nd.     Penultimate round of 060s and 070s County Matches

    It's the penultimate week of group matches for many of the O60s and O70s county championship competitions. We can report breaking news that Wales have withdrawn from the knockout stages of the O60s division one competition as they will be in Canada for the O60s World Cup. It has been confirmed that the team effectively finishing 17th across all the groups will now be in the cup competition.     060s and 070s Championships hotting up plus round 4 of 065s

    Another packed week of O60s, O65s and O70s county and regional championship cricket plus the England O60s Lions played Western Australia and down under Australia and New Zealand O60s played out a close run three match World Cup warm up series.     Changes to England World Cup Squad plus 060s and 070s round up

    More changes to the England O60s World Cup Squad - Steve Aston out Colin Cliff in - Nick Gaywood out Neal Jackson in - just 4 players left who were part of the 2024 Chennai World Cup squad - Edward Gordon Lennox, Mel Hussain, Phil Deakin and Simon Routh A very warm week but most O60s and O70s matches survived the heat - we round them up On the management front O60s / O70s Chair Dave Murphy has announced he is stepping down when his two year term as Chair ends in December. Interim Vice-Chair Len Attard is co-ordinating the recruitment of a new Chair. Interested parties should drop Len an email via len@electricmango.co.uk And we ask this question - who has played O50s+ cricket for the longest time who is still playing regularly today. Our current leader is Cornwall O70s player Mike Conbeer who first played for the Cornwall O50s team in 1994 And did we have some records this week - was Andy Kemp's 74 out of Shropshire's 106/6 in O70s Div 1 at 70% a record percentage of runs in a completed innings by an individual in O60s / O7Os cricket?
