I didn’t lose my joy when comfort changed

**[EPISODE DESCRIPTION - Ready to publish]** What if the thing you thought you were “giving up” was actually a sign you were healing? Cammie Knight shares a deeply personal reflection on why a once-loved comfort food stopped holding the same power, and what that shift revealed about joy, safety, self-trust, and healing from the inside out. At the center of this episode is a simple but powerful moment: cake. Cammie opens up about her favorite vanilla cake with buttercream icing and how a birthday craving turned into a surprising emotional checkpoint. What looked like a change in appetite became a window into something bigger—a shift from surviving to nurturing, from seeking comfort outside herself to learning how to feel safe within herself. **You'll discover:** - Why changing cravings can sometimes reflect changing emotional needs - The difference between caring for your body from compassion versus punishment - How food, routines, relationships, and busyness can all function as comfort strategies - Why healing does not require rejecting the version of you that needed survival - How self-trust can create a deeper kind of joy than restriction ever could Cammie also introduces her upcoming project, *Healing the Internal Weight*, an audio ebook focused on the emotional patterns, protective habits, and internal burdens that shape how we care for ourselves. If you've ever wondered whether your habits are protecting you, replacing you, or simply carrying you through a hard season, this conversation will meet you right there. This episode is for anyone navigating change, healing, body awareness, or a new relationship with comfort. If you've ever felt torn between wanting to grow and wanting to keep the parts of life that bring pleasure, this reflection offers something rare: permission to change without losing your joy. A thoughtful listen for anyone ready to move beyond fear-based self-care and discover what it means to be at home in yourself.

Weight loss, was it really about that?

Weight loss is not always about the scale, and Cammie Knight gets brutally honest about the part most people miss—the internal weight. If you have ever felt trapped in body image pressure, food guilt, or the exhausting cycle of chasing approval, this episode is for you. Cammie opens up about her own journey through losing 70 pounds, only to realize the real battle was not just physical. She shares how a spiritual reset, guided by God, changed the way she approached health, discipline, and self-worth—and how even at her smallest, she still struggled with anxiety, body complex, and fear of gaining weight. You’ll hear Cammie break down: - Why her weight loss started as healing, not aesthetics - How bootcamp, personal training, macros, journaling, and prayer all worked together - The moment she realized being smaller was not the same as being free - Why she quit obsessive habits like constantly eating Tic Tacs out of fear - How to build a healthier relationship with your body, food, and self-talk Cammie also shares the tension between wanting to be healthy and strong while refusing to live in bondage to the mirror, social media, or other people’s opinions. Her message is direct: if your relationship with yourself is unhealthy, no amount of weight loss will fix what is happening underneath. This conversation matters because so many people are chasing the outside while neglecting the inside. If you are tired of comparison, overwhelmed by body goals, or ready to stop beating yourself up, this episode offers a calmer, more grounded path forward. Perfect for anyone navigating weight loss, body image, faith, or self-acceptance, this episode will challenge you to ask one life-changing question: **How am I really relating to myself?**

Stewarding Your Transformation: A Journey of Healing

    > Explore the deeper meaning of healing and God's guidance in your life. Healing isn’t just about what God takes away; it’s also about what He teaches us in the process. In this episode, Cammie Knight delves into the concept of stewardship in our spiritual lives, prompting us to reflect on how we manage our bodies, time, relationships, and the transformative work God is doing within us. ## The Essence of Stewardship Cammie poses a thought-provoking question: **What if healing is as much about stewardship as it is about removal?** She encourages us to consider how we can steward our transformation by embracing obedience, restraint, and patience. Sometimes, this stewardship means waiting or resisting the impulse to engage in certain behaviors or environments. > "Sometimes stewardship looks like obedience. Sometimes it looks like restraint." > — Cammie Knight This perspective shifts our focus from merely seeking healing to actively participating in the process that God is orchestrating in our lives. ## Listening to God’s Guidance Cammie shares her personal experiences with God's guidance, emphasizing the importance of being in tune with our bodies and emotions. She illustrates this connection beautifully, likening it to a pedestrian at a crosswalk—where we often have to rely on our instincts to know the right moment to act. She reminds us that sometimes we might not understand God’s instructions in the moment, but reflecting back, we can see the wisdom behind them. It's about trusting the process, even when we can't see the full picture. ## Reflection Questions As you ponder these insights, consider the following questions Cammie poses: - **Where is God asking you to cooperate with the work He is already doing in you?** - **What environments or habits might no longer align with where God is taking you?** - **What is one thing you sense God is asking you to do that requires obedience instead of understanding?** These reflections invite us to dive deeper into our spiritual journeys and to recognize the areas where we might need to release control and trust God’s direction. ## Conclusion Cammie wraps up by encouraging us to express our uncertainties to God. "God, I don't understand why you are asking me to ___, but I am learning to trust you because ___." This exercise not only helps us articulate our feelings but also aligns our hearts with God’s purpose. For those looking to deepen their understanding of stewardship and healing, tune in to the full episode for more insights and guidance. Thank you for joining us on this journey of faith and transformation!

Rewiring My Nervous System After Deep Fear And Shock

Part 1 – The Feeling of Shock and Betrayal When shock or betrayal happens, it doesn’t just touch your emotions — it lands in your body. It’s like your nervous system creates a snapshot of that moment and keeps it filed away, almost as if it just happened yesterday. I began to notice a pattern within myself. Every time I was reminded of that experience, my body reacted the same way — tightening, bracing, spiraling back into the pain. Even though I knew the truth in my mind… even though I knew what I heard God speak to me about those experiences… my body didn’t always agree. That’s when I realized something important: knowing the truth is different from embodying the truth. My mind could agree with God’s word. My spirit could feel the release. But my body — my nervous system — was still holding on to the memory of the shock. And until I helped my body let go, I found myself repeating the same cycle over and over again. What I’ve discovered is this: healing requires all of me. Mind, body, and spirit have to come into alignment with the truth for real transformation to happen. And that doesn’t come by accident — it comes through daily practice, intentionality, and learning how to re-circuit the nervous system so it no longer lives in the memory of the trauma. So, I’ve started walking this path — a path of rewiring my whole system. And I’d love for you to come with me as I share what I’m learning. It’s not always easy. In fact, sometimes it’s hard and uncomfortable. But I’m choosing to focus on the fun parts too — because there is joy in reclaiming your freedom.
