    124. The Signals That Were Always There And Why the Excitement of Shared Vision Makes Them So Hard to See

Today we go one step further from last week’s episode and explore how the excitement of shared vision can blind us from the signals that are available to us right from the beginning. In this episode I take you into three specific moments, each one a signal that was present early, visible clearly, and looked away from in favour of the generous interpretation. A collaboration proposed in the language of partnership that, when examined closely, wasn't equal. A joke made by my colleague at my expense in a professional setting in front of shared clients whose respect we were both working to earn. And a pattern of preparation that kept not happening, whose individual reasons were each entirely reasonable and whose accumulation told a completely different story. Three different situations. Three different forms the signal took. The same response every time. This is a continuation of last week's conversation, but stands on its own too for anyone who has ever looked back at a situation and thought: the information was always there. I just chose not to read it. — 🔗 Rapid Reset for Hesitation Loops is a practical toolkit for returning to yourself in moments that matter. 123. The Excitement of Shared Vision: What It Is And Isn't Telling You

You know the feeling when you meet someone (a potential collaborator, a peer, a mentor, a person who seems to be moving in the same direction you're moving) and almost immediately there's a recognition. A resonance. A sense of finally someone who speaks this language. Finally, someone who sees what I see. The excitement is immediate. Your mind fills with images, possibilities, things that could be built together. Endless. Expansive. It's one of the most intoxicating feelings there is. Particularly for someone who has been building her business largely alone. Who has been carrying a vision that not everyone around her can see. But what is that feeling actually telling you? And what it isn't? This episode is for anyone who has opened doors wide on the basis of shared vision, and found, at real cost, that the vision wasn't the whole picture. The excitement is real. The resonance is real. And it deserves a more honest reading than we usually give it. — 🔗 Rapid Reset for Hesitation Loops is a practical toolkit for the moments when the hesitation loop runs and you want something to return you to yourself. 122. The Language of Pressure And the Three-Step Exercise That Lifts the Weight

There’s a conversation happening inside you right now that you may not be fully aware of. Not just the regular strategic thinking and planning. Underneath that, there is another. A running commentary of obligation. I should be further along by now.I must get this done before the end of the week.I have to make this work. That language isn't neutral. It creates contraction in the body before action has even begun. A tightening that most of us stop noticing it's there. We just carry it. As the background state from which we attempt to build, lead, and create. From a body that is already in slight defence mode before the day has begun. In this episode I share a three-step exercise — one I first encountered through Louise Hay and have altered slightly — that does something I didn't expect the first time I did it myself. It lifts the weight. Physically. The breath returns and the shoulders release as the relationship to the list changes. This episode is practical. You can do the exercise yourself immediately after listening. But it's also something deeper than a productivity tool, it's about the quality of the state from which you're building everything. Because the language shapes the state. The state shapes the action. And the action shapes everything that follows. — 🔗 Rapid Reset for Hesitation Loops is a practical toolkit for the moments when the pressure language is running and you want something to interrupt it and return you to yourself. 121. The Highlight Reel and the Backstage

You've done it. I've done it. We all have. Looked at someone else's business, visibility, and their apparent confidence and results — and measured it against our own. Their polished, public, carefully presented exterior against your private, unfiltered, sometimes uncertain interior. Your doubt against their highlight reel. Your backstage against their performance. That comparison is already unfair. You have full access to every thought, every fear, every moment of self-doubt running underneath your own surface. And zero access to what's running underneath theirs. But in 2018, I understood this in a completely different way: from the inside of a prestige moment that looked, from the outside, like arrival. And felt, from the inside, like survival. This episode goes somewhere the standard comparison conversation doesn't, because the insight isn't just that the highlight reel is unfair. The thing we're measuring ourselves against was never the point to begin with. And the belonging we've been looking for out there has always been asking us to abandon the belonging we have in here. In ourselves first. — 🔗 Rapid Reset for Hesitation Loops is a practical toolkit for the moments when the comparison arrives and pulls you away from yourself. 120. The Spiral Before the Send

A few years ago I made several phone calls to an educational institute about including one of my programs in their curriculum. It worked. They were interested. They asked me to send more information. Someone was waiting for what I was going to send. I never sent it. Weeks passed. Then months. Until one day I removed the whole thing from my to-do list. And felt two things simultaneously: relief and shame. Relief because the threat was gone. Shame because I knew (even if I couldn't fully admit it then) exactly what had happened. I didn’t make a genuine decision. It wasn’t intuition guiding me. It was fear. Dressed up as practicality. Wearing the costume of not being ready yet. That's what this episode is about. And it’s for anyone who has their own version of this story. Their own opportunity quietly removed from the to-do list. Their own moment of relief and shame that was never quite named out loud. You're not alone in it. And the catching gets faster. — 🔗 Rapid Reset for Hesitation Loops is a toolkit to return to your own inner discernment in moments that matter. 👉 https://www.paulaimmo.com/rapid-reset/ — Keywords: hesitation loop female founder, fear of visibility women entrepreneurs, procrastination female founder, imposter syndrome women in business, self-sabotage women entrepreneurs — The Insights Within is a podcast for founders navigating the gap between knowing and doing with a specific focus on fear of visibility, hesitation patterns, and the inner work that supports sustainable leadership.

    119. Good Girls Don’t

Before the hesitation loop, there was a moment. Not a dramatic conversation where someone sat you down and told you that parts of you weren't allowed. It was quieter than that. More ordinary. More accumulated. It was the laughter when you said something true before you thought to check whether it was allowed. The footnote added to your ambition that quietly redirected it through someone else. The classroom moment where being too certain made the room uncomfortable. The first time you swallowed an opinion and nothing bad happened — so you did it again. And again. Until the edit became automatic. That's how the good girl gets built. Through normalcy. Through a thousand small moments so unremarkable that by the time you're old enough to examine them, you've already absorbed them so completely they feel like reality rather than conditioning. In this episode I go back to the beginning. To a memory that has stayed with me for decades and that I now understand as the moment the stripping started. This is personal and it's for anyone who has their own version of my cottage memory — a moment where your truth came out and the world responded in a way that taught you to be more careful next time. You weren't wrong then. And you're not wrong now. — 🔗 Rapid Reset for Hesitation Loops is a toolkit to return to your own inner knowing in moments that matter. 👉 https://www.paulaimmo.com/rapid-reset/ — Keywords: good girl conditioning women, people pleasing origin female founder, visibility blocks women entrepreneurs, self-abandonment conditioning women, female founder childhood wounds business — The Insights Within is a podcast for founders navigating the gap between knowing and doing with a specific focus on fear of visibility, hesitation patterns, and the inner work that supports sustainable leadership.

    118. Good Girl Syndrome — And the Part of You She's Been Hiding

This episode might make you uncomfortable, because we’re exploring the part of you that is often carelessly cast as an a*****e. Aka the part of you that knows exactly what she thinks. That doesn't wait for permission to take up space. That can say no without a three-paragraph explanation. That walks away from what isn't working without needing everyone to agree it was the right thing to do. She's in there. She has always been in there. And if you're here, there's a good chance you've spent most of your life trying to keep her quiet.  Because you were taught that the acceptable version of you was the other one. The good girl. The one who gives generously, holds space beautifully, and always finds a way to absorb what's difficult without making it anyone else's burden. The good girl is real. Her generosity is genuine. But she is not the whole of you. And a life lived from only part of yourself is not a full life. This episode is bold, honest, and slightly uncomfortable. Which means it's probably exactly what you need. You are allowed to be whole. All of it. Yours. — 🔗 Rapid Reset for Hesitation Loops is a toolkit to return to your own inner knowing in moments that matter. 👉 https://www.paulaimmo.com/rapid-reset/ — Keywords: people pleasing women entrepreneurs, good girl syndrome female founder, self-abandonment women in business, inner critic women entrepreneurs, female founder authenticity — The Insights Within is a podcast for founders navigating the gap between knowing and doing with a specific focus on fear of visibility, hesitation patterns, and the inner work that supports sustainable leadership.
