Reflection of the week: Uranus - Urgency or Awareness?

This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit reflectorsreflections.substack.com One of the themes I found myself reflecting on during this week’s Interactive Neutrino Weather was the conditioning currently brought forward through Uranus. If I were to summarise it in a single word, it would be this: Urgency. Urgency has become one of the defining psychological climates of our time. Everything asks for our attention. Everything asks us to react. Everything tells us that if we do not respond immediately, we will somehow fall behind. Interestingly, Yuval Noah Harari has pointed out that many of today’s digital algorithms have discovered something fundamental about human psychology. Fear spreads faster than understanding. Anger generates more engagement than reflection. Urgency keeps us connected to the platform. But not necessarily connected to one another. I find that distinction increasingly important. Engagement is not the same as awareness. One captures attention. The other liberates it. One narrows our perception. The other expands it. One constantly asks us to react. The other quietly invites us to observe. Perhaps nowhere is this more relevant than in the conversations surrounding Artificial Intelligence. On the one hand, we are witnessing an unprecedented acceleration of technological development. On the other, we often seem strangely unable to have the calm, thoughtful conversations that such developments require. We oscillate between alarmism and dismissal. Between fascination and denial. Urgency rarely produces wisdom. Awareness does. This has gradually become one of the central intentions behind the Human Design training I have been developing over the past months. When Ra Uru Hu spoke about the Science of Differentiation, he repeatedly invited us to honour our Strategy and Inner Authority. Over the years, however, my own experience has led me to understand those words in a particular way. Human Design is not asking us to become different. It is inviting us to become aware. And awareness naturally gives rise to differentiation. Not because we are trying to be unique. But because, as conditioning softens, what has always been uniquely ours quietly begins to express itself. In my own book I describe Human Design as an inner GPS for awareness. That sentence has become increasingly meaningful to me. A GPS does not decide where we should go. It simply helps us recognise where we actually are. The same is true of the BodyGraph. It is not there to provide us with another identity. Nor to tell us who we are. It is an instrument of observation. A way of recognizing the architecture through which consciousness expresses itself. Like every lens, however, Human Design also asks something of the one who is looking. If we look through the BodyGraph from fear... we will find fear. If we look through comparison... we will compare. If we look through superiority... we will create hierarchy. If we look through the need to be right... we will simply reinforce another identity. Only when we look through awareness does the BodyGraph become what I believe it was always capable of becoming: A way of meeting ourselves and one another with greater clarity, compassion and respect. Perhaps that is the deepest invitation hidden within this week’s conditioning. Not to become more urgent. But to become more present. Not to react more quickly. But to observe more deeply. Because perhaps the greatest contribution we can make in an age increasingly shaped by algorithms and Artificial Intelligence is not to become faster. It is to become more conscious. Warmly, Dirk _________________________________________________________________________ These are some of the reflections that continue to emerge as I develop the foundations of my upcoming training: Embody Your Design. More than teaching a system, my intention is to explore how Human Design can become a way of cultivating awareness - an inner GPS that gradually allows our own unique nature to express itself with greater clarity, freedom and compassion and how it can be put at service of deconditioning or therapy. Reflection of the week: When Consciousness Takes Form

This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit reflectorsreflections.substack.com Reflecting on the quality of the current neutrino weather, we can see that this week we find ourselves under the influence of the Cross of Dominion. Over the years, I have often heard Ra Uru Hu illustrate this Cross with a simple example. Someone discovers that being vegetarian profoundly transforms their life. At first, it is simply a personal insight. But gradually that awareness begins taking form. Vegetarian restaurants appear. Books are written. Communities emerge. New recipes are shared. Eventually an entire culture grows around what once began as a single lived experience. Consciousness, it seems, does not simply awaken. It seeks expression. It seeks form. This observation has stayed with me for many years because I have repeatedly encountered it in my own life. For more than twenty-five years, Human Design has been one of the most important companions on my own path of awareness. Yet, as I shared in previous newsletters, I gradually discovered that understanding Human Design and living it are two very different things. A retreat may offer a profound glimpse into ourselves. A Human Design reading may illuminate aspects of our energetic architecture with remarkable clarity. But sooner or later we return to ordinary life. And then another question appears. What form does this awareness now take? If it remains only an insight, it gradually fades. If it becomes embodied, it begins reorganising the way we live, relate, accompany others and participate in the world. This has slowly become one of the deepest inspirations behind my own work. The book I have recently completed, Understanding Our Energetic Architecture – Human Design as Your Inner GPS for Awareness, was one way in which years of inquiry gradually took form. The online training I am currently preparing, Embody Your Design – An Embodied Framework for Integrating Human Design into Therapeutic Practice, is another. It is not simply a Human Design course. It is my attempt to create a space where the awareness process Human Design assists us with can be lived, embodied and explored within a therapeutic context. A place where the BodyGraph is not merely studied, but enters into dialogue with psychotherapy, meditation and the ongoing process of deconditioning. Perhaps this is what the Cross of Dominion invites us to contemplate this week. Not what we know. But what form our knowing wishes to take. Because awareness that never finds expression remains a beautiful possibility. Awareness that takes form has the potential to quietly transform both our own lives and the lives of those we accompany. If this reflection resonates with you, or if you are curious about the training I’m preparing, you’re warmly invited to reply to contact me (atashdirk@gmail.com). Reflection of the week: When Meaning Becomes a Defense

This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit reflectorsreflections.substack.com Every week I enjoy reflecting on the quality of the current neutrino weather and how it may invite us into a particular aspect of our human experience with a little more awareness. This week, the Channel of Abstraction (64–47) comes into the foreground. It is one of the most remarkable capacities of the human mind: our ability to gather experiences and gradually distil them into meaning. It is through this capacity that we tell stories, construct cultures, write history and create narratives that help us understand both ourselves and the world around us. Anthropologist and historian Yuval Noah Harari has beautifully illustrated how much of human civilisation rests upon this uniquely human ability. We are, perhaps more than anything else, meaning-making beings. Without this capacity, there would be no religions, no science, no philosophy, no psychotherapy and no Human Design. Meaning is one of humanity’s greatest gifts. Yet every gift casts a shadow. As Osho often reminded us, Existence itself requires no explanation. A flower does not bloom because it has found the meaning of life. A river does not ask where it is going. Life simply expresses itself or as he stated it “Life is enough unto itself!” It is only the human mind that insists on making sense of everything. Over the past twenty-five years of working with Human Design, I’ve become increasingly fascinated by this paradox. Human Design offers us an extraordinarily rich language through which we can understand ourselves. It gives us concepts, structures and maps that often illuminate aspects of our lives with remarkable precision. But I have also witnessed another movement. Sometimes the mind quietly appropriates this language. Instead of becoming more present to our experience, we become increasingly skilled at explaining it. We explain our resistance. We explain our relationships. We explain our fears. We explain our suffering. We explain why we are stuck. And before we know it, explanation has become another way of remaining safely inside the mind. This isn’t a limitation of Human Design. It is simply the brilliance of the mind itself. One sentence has stayed with me ever since I studied with Ra Uru Hu in Ibiza more than twenty-five years ago. He repeated it to us again and again: “Don’t believe anything I say. Experiment.” At the time, I understood those words as an invitation to verify the mechanics of Human Design for myself. Today I hear something much deeper. Don’t replace your experience with an explanation of your experience. Observe first. Remain present. Allow life to reveal itself before the mind rushes in to interpret it. Ra also encouraged us not merely to repeat his understanding, but to allow our own experiment to mature into our own seeing. My recently completed book, Understanding Our Energetic Architecture – Human Design as Your Inner GPS for Awareness, and the online training I am currently preparing are both expressions of that invitation. They are here to share how I have gradually come to understand it through more than two decades of living, practising, accompanying others, and allowing Human Design to enter into dialogue with psychotherapy, meditation and anthropology. Perhaps that is one of the deepest interests I now carry: Moving from knowledge to embodied knowing. Not how do we accumulate more information. But how does understanding become something we live? This has gradually become the heart of the course I will be launching this autumn: Embody Your Design – An Embodied Framework for Integrating Human Design into Therapeutic Practice. As I continue preparing the first cohort, I’m having individual conversations with prospective participants. These conversations are not interviews in the conventional sense. They are simply an opportunity for us to explore together whether the training is aligned with where you are in your own journey and with the way I approach Human Design. If this reflection resonates with you, or if you are curious about the training, you’re warmly invited to reply to contact me (atashdirk@gmail.com). Reflection of the week: Something I’ve Been Quietly Creating

This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit reflectorsreflections.substack.com Over the past few years I have been immersed in writing my book, Understanding Our Energetic Architecture – Human Design as Your Inner GPS for Awareness. While writing it, something unexpected happened. The book gradually became the beginning of a much larger exploration. When I first encountered Human Design, I was fascinated by the extraordinary depth and precision of the system. Like many people, I immersed myself in understanding charts, centres, channels, gates, experimenting with Strategy and Inner Authority. Yet, despite everything I was learning, I repeatedly discovered how easy it was to remain caught in my own mind. I slowly came to realise that Human Design doesn't ask us to understand ourselves differently. It asks us to be different through awareness. It is our process of awareness that brings about our difference. Until today, Human Design remains, for me, a living experiment rather than a body of knowledge I have somehow learned to master. It continues to illuminate the places where I become conditioned, identified with old patterns or disconnected from myself. Again and again it invites me back - not simply to understanding, but to awareness. Over time I realised that what Human Design calls deconditioning is not merely an intellectual process. It asks us to meet the habits, defences, emotional wounds and survival strategies that have shaped us throughout our lives. From my own experience, this has been a profoundly therapeutic journey. This insight slowly changed the way I look at Human Design. Rather than seeing it as a fascinating system of knowledge, I experience it as a remarkably rich companion on a journey of awareness that includes psychotherapy. It seemed to me that these two worlds have much to offer one another. Psychotherapy provides a language for the inner work of transformation. Human Design offers an extraordinary map of our energetic individuality and of the many ways conditioning expresses itself. This dialogue between Human Design and therapy gradually became the foundation of both my book and a training I have spent the last years creating. Embody Your Design – An Embodied Framework for Integrating Human Design into Therapeutic Practice. This is not a certification programme. Nor is it simply another Human Design course. It is a journey into the lived experience of Human Design through meditation, journaling, therapeutic reflection, embodied practices, ecstatic dance sets I created with a DJ from Ibiza, guided explorations and live group sessions. My hope is not that participants will simply know more about Human Design. My hope is that they begin to participate in it and put it as use in their therapy sessions. That Human Design gradually becomes less of a mental map and more of a lived experience that supports the lifelong process of awareness and deconditioning. I am hoping to welcome the first cohort this autumn. Over the coming weeks I’d like to use these newsletters to share some of the ideas that gave birth to this training, along with reflections from my own journey of working with Human Design, psychotherapy and embodiment. If, while reading this, you find yourself thinking, “This speaks to something I’ve been searching for,” I’d love to hear from you. Rather than simply opening enrolment, I’d like to have a short conversation with everyone considering joining the first cohort. Not as an assessment or an interview, but as an opportunity for us to explore together whether this journey is the right fit for where you are in your own process. If that resonates, simply reply to my email (atashdirk@gmail.com). I’d be delighted to begin the conversation. Reflection of the week: Gate 33 — The Wisdom of Retreat

This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit reflectorsreflections.substack.com There is something catching my attention with Gate 33 being activated in the neutrino ocean at the moment. Gate 33 is the Gate of Retreat, privacy and reflection on the past. It asks us to step away from the immediacy of experience so that we can look back, digest what has happened, and perhaps eventually turn it into wisdom anchored here-now. With Mercury and Jupiter recently meeting in this gate in Leo, and with Jupiter staying there a little while longer, this theme has felt particularly alive. For me, these activations in Gate 33 have allowed access to a clearer understanding of an old defence mechanism - something that has been operating in the background of my life keeping me locked in the past and repeating my history. What is striking is not simply seeing the mechanism, but seeing it as something that has been running automatically, shaping choices and reactions without necessarily being so conscious about it. And perhaps this is the deeper gift of Gate 33: to step back far enough to witness what has been running us. There is a beautiful paradox in Gate 33 being situated in Leo. Leo is astrologically associated with expression, creativity, visibility and the courage to be oneself in interaction with others. Yet this gate in Leo says: retreat. Step away. Become private. Don’t rush to express. Leo therefore also suggests we need to withdraw from the performance of who we think we are in order to see ourselves more clearly. This reminds me of something Osho repeatedly pointed towards: the importance of “leaving the rotten past behind.” Not through denial, and not by pretending that what happened did not matter, but by recognising the burden of conditioning in our lives. The past can teach us. But it can also become an identity. We can spend years explaining ourselves through what happened to us, what we learned, what went wrong, what someone did or did not do. We can become so familiar with an old pattern that we mistake familiarity for truth. The witness introduces another possibility. The Channel of the Prodigal — the Design of the Witness — carries this movement of experience and return. We go out into life, we gather experience, and eventually we come back with something to see. The witness doesn’t fix the past. It sees it. And seeing something clearly is the beginning of its release. This is what feels particularly alive for me now. An old defence mechanism that once seemed simply to be me is becoming something I can observe. And what can be witnessed no longer has quite the same power to operate unconsciously. Perhaps this is what retreat is really for. Not to live in the past. Not to endlessly analyse it. But to create enough distance to recognise what happened, understand what it gave us, and then decide whether we still need to carry it. We don’t retreat so that we can remain in the past.We retreat so that we can leave behind what belongs there. So perhaps this is a useful question for these weeks with Jupiter in Gate 33: What are you able to witness now that you were previously only repeating? And once you can see it, perhaps you can finally let it go. __________________________________________________________________________________________ If you want to explore the Gates of the Bodygraph in greater detail, don’t hesitate to consult my book, it’s on Amazon for you! Reflection of the week: The Solar Eclipse: What Are We Saying Yes To?

This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit reflectorsreflections.substack.com Tomorrow, August 12 at 20:26 Madrid time, brings a total solar eclipse, visible along a path crossing Greenland, Iceland and Spain, with a partial eclipse visible across much of Europe and beyond. From a Human Design perspective, this eclipse brings together a particularly interesting combination of themes. The Sun and Moon meet in Gate 4.2, with the Earth in Gate 49.2, while the lunar nodes are moving through Gate 29.6 in the South Node and Gate 30.6 in the North Node. Together, they create an invitation to contemplate commitment, desire, uncertainty, acceptance and our relationship with life itself, within the current neutrino weather. Gate 29 speaks of commitment: the Sacral capacity to say yes to experience and discover, through living it, what that experience contains. With the South Node in 29.6, we may naturally find ourselves looking at commitments - relationships, projects, directions, identities - and wondering whether they are the “right” ones. But from the perspective of witnessing consciousness, perhaps we don’t need to judge them. What did that yes allow life to show me? What did I experience through it? What became possible because I said yes? The North Node in Gate 30 brings us toward our relationship with desire and feeling and in the sixth line it asks us to find the strength to eliminate negative feelings. Gate 30 knows the intensity of wanting to experience life. Yet desire does not necessarily tell us what we should do. When we are identified with the ego, desire can become a demand: I want this, therefore this must happen. From a witnessing position, something else becomes possible. We can experience desire without immediately becoming the one who needs to fulfill it. We can simply notice: What is life giving me to experience? What is moving through me? What does life want from me now? This is a subtle but important shift - from “What do I want from life?” to “What is life revealing through my experience of wanting?” The eclipse itself occurs in Gate 4.2, the mind’s impulse to formulate answers and in the second line, the accentuation that sometimes it is nourishing not needing to understand it all. Line 2 carries the theme of acceptance. Perhaps this is especially meaningful at a time when the mind would like to understand what is happening, what comes next, and what we should do. Maybe we don’t need another answer. Perhaps we can allow the question to remain open. The Earth in Gate 49.2 brings us into an equally important relationship with principles and sensitivity. Gate 49 is not simply about rejecting what no longer works. At its deeper level, it is about a profound sensitivity to what sustains life - and the willingness to embrace and transform what is no longer aligned with those principles. And this begins with ourselves. Can I sensitively embrace what is here, including the parts of myself I would rather change, fix or reject? This brings us to something fundamental in Human Design: Choiceless Awareness. We are not ultimately here to use the mind to manufacture the correct life. We are here to become increasingly aware of what is already happening - to recognize our uniqueness, to experiment with our body’s intelligence - Strategy and Inner Authority - and to discover what becomes visible when we stop trying to control experience from the mind. Perhaps this is also something the eclipse itself can remind us of. For a moment, the light we normally take for granted is obscured. Yet the Sun has not disappeared. The darkness does not mean that awareness has ceased. In the same way, thoughts, emotions, desires, uncertainty and changing circumstances come and go within us. Awareness remains. Awareness is not something we produce, it is the very field within which all of this is happening. So rather than asking tomorrow: What should I decide? we might simply sit with: What is here? What am I experiencing? What am I saying yes to? What do I desire without needing to possess it? Can I remain open when I don’t understand? Can I embrace myself and life as they are, without immediately trying to change either? And perhaps most importantly: What becomes visible when I stop asking my mind to tell me where life is going, and become quiet enough to witness life as it moves? This is the reflection I find worth sitting with during tomorrow’s eclipse. Not trying to create an answer. Not trying to make something happen. Just becoming still enough to see. __________________________________________________________________________________________ If you want to explore the Gates of the Bodygraph in greater detail, don’t hesitate to consult my book, it’s on Amazon for you! Reflection of the week: What Understanding Is Worthy of Being the Organizing Principle of Your Life?

This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit reflectorsreflections.substack.com On August 12th, a total solar eclipse crosses Europe. Traditionally, eclipses have been seen as moments when the familiar light is temporarily obscured. They interrupt our ordinary way of seeing and invite us to reconsider the principles by which we orient ourselves. This eclipse takes place in Leo, the sign ruled by the Sun. The Sun is often associated with creativity, leadership and authentic self-expression. Yet these are only its outward expressions. At a deeper level, the Sun represents the organizing principle of life. Just as the physical Sun holds the planets in their orbit, the symbolic Sun asks a profound question: What is the center around which your life revolves? Through the lens of Human Design, Leo is expressed through the Gates 56, 31, 33, 7, 4 and 29, with the Channel 7-31, the Channel of the Alpha, lying at its heart. It is an archetype of leadership - not leadership through control or power, but through inner coherence, authenticity. Genuine leadership emerges when we surrender to life’s intelligence – Strategy & Inner Authority – leading us as aware passengers. This eclipse falls specifically in Gate 4, the Gate of Formulization. Gate 4 is driven by questions. It seeks understanding. It wants to formulate explanations that make sense of the complexity of life. Yet its shadow lies in the temptation to settle for certainty before true understanding has emerged. The mind dislikes uncertainty. It wants answers. But this eclipse invites us to ask a deeper question: What understanding is worthy of being the organizing principle of your life? For me, there is only one answer that continues to deepen with experience. Awareness. Not ideology. Not belief. Not identity. Not opinion. Awareness. Awareness is the only organizing principle that remains alive. It allows understanding to evolve rather than harden into certainty. It keeps us available to Reality instead of imprisoning us in our conclusions. This is why I often point out in my book Understanding Our Energetic Architecture that Human Design is “a GPS for Awareness,” not something to be approached through mental understanding. The awakened expression of Gate 4 is not the possession of answers, but the willingness to remain in inquiry until genuine clarity emerges. It is the movement from mental certainty to living awareness. In my book, I chose Jane Goodall’s work with chimpanzees to illustrate this as she embodied this energetic principle of our human nature beautifully. There is another layer to this eclipse that I find worth sharing with you. It occurs on the same celestial axis as Regulus, one of the Royal Stars. Within the Human Design cosmology, Ra Uru Hu associated Regulus with the mutation of the Solar Plexus and the gradual emergence of Rave Consciousness. The ancient Arabs did not know this star as Regulus. They knew it simply as Qalb al-Asad - the Heart of the Lion. Perhaps this is the deeper invitation of the eclipse: to rediscover the Heart of the Lion as the living center from which awareness arises. Not the mind that divides reality into opinions and identities, but the awareness that precedes all division. In this evolutionary step, the illusion of separation gradually begins to dissolve. We discover that our thoughts, emotions and actions are not isolated events but movements within a shared field of consciousness. Our interconnectedness is not merely a moral ideal. It is the very nature of awareness. In a time marked by polarization, manipulation and the exhaustion of old political narratives, this symbolism feels particularly relevant. Perhaps this eclipse invites us to participate in a quiet revolution of awareness. Every society ultimately reflects the quality of awareness of the people who compose it. If there is an invitation within this eclipse, perhaps it is simply this: Allow awareness - not the mind’s need for certainty and control - to be the organizing principle of your life. For when awareness becomes the center, authentic leadership arises naturally, understanding remains alive, and a different kind of organization becomes possible - one built not on fear or division, but on the recognition that what truly connects us is the awareness of our interconnectedness. And perhaps this is the deepest herald of Qalb al-Asad: the gradual emergence of what Ra Uru Hu called Rave Consciousness. According to Human Design, just six months after this eclipse, Existence begins to shift its evolutionary support toward a new form - one naturally equipped to more deeply embody our interconnectedness. Whether we participate consciously in that movement depends not on becoming something else, but on remembering what has always been true: that each of us is an individual manifestation of the Lion’s Heart. __________________________________________________________________________________________ If you want to explore Gate 4 in more detail consult the second section of my book where I delve deeply into the Gates and Channels of the Bodygraph and illustrate all of them through public figures such as Jane Goodall so that you can have a more palpable grasp of the Energetic Architecture we all share and express uniquely. Reflection of the week: A Design of Focused Energy

This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit reflectorsreflections.substack.com From last weekend until 25 November, the Neutrino Weather brings the Channel of Recognition — A Design of Focused Energy to the foreground. When we approach this Channel through the mind, our entanglement with the emotional wave of hope and despair prevents us from truly recognizing and experiencing our feelings, and from connecting with the Life that is given to us. We become caught in cycles of unrealistic hope and deep disappointment. As a result, we either escape into imagination and longing, or burn the candle at both ends in the pursuit of fulfilment. When, instead, we witness the wave of hope and despair embedded in our emotions, our energy becomes anchored in the present. We experience a deep sense of resonance with our destiny and a genuine connection with Life as it unfolds. I find this stance best captured by a phrase that uses a double negation: “I feel I cannot not do it.” This reflects a state in which the emotional wave of hope and despair has been fully ridden. After the emotions are felt, there comes a deeper knowing that our path is unfolding as it should. In this resonance with destiny, imagination - so deeply embedded in this Channel - embellishes our relationship with Life in the present. One person who powerfully embodied these energies was Elvis Presley. Elvis expressed the energies of desire, fantasy, and emotional intensity, pioneering a new experiential path for his generation. As a powerful symbol of youthful rebellion and sexual expression, he gave voice to the collective desires of his time. In his teachings on Global Cycles, Ra referred to the period from 1961 to 2027 as The Return to Eden - a cycle marked by a deep yearning for innocence, purity, and a return to a paradise lost. Elvis personified the raw emotionality and instinctual drive of this cycle, awakening a generation’s longing for authentic, unfiltered experience - a shift from form to feeling, from intellect to instinct. As a cultural icon of desire, Elvis captivated audiences with his suggestive dance moves and stirred deep emotions. His music and persona offered an escape into fantasy, exploring themes of love, longing, and adventure. His life story - from humble beginnings to becoming the King of Rock & Roll - became a modern fairytale that captured the imaginations of millions. Through his music, Elvis conveyed profound emotional experiences. Whether expressing heartbreak, joy, or loneliness, he connected with listeners through ballads and soulful performances that felt deeply personal and moving. Yet, behind the glamour, he burned the candle at both ends - pushed by fame, inner longing, and the emotional intensity he so powerfully expressed. __________________________________________________________________________________________ In the second section of my book, I delve deeply into the Gates and Channels of the Bodygraph and illustrate all of them through public figures such as Elvis so that you can have a more palpable grasp of the Energetic Architecture we all share and express uniquely.
