There’s No Room for God Here Anymore

What moves God? It’s a question I don’t think we ask often enough. We know what religion says. We know the rules. We know the “shoulds.” But do we actually know His heartbeat? If we’re made in His image, with a soul that thinks, chooses, and feels—then surely He has a heart that can be moved too. In this episode of Get Well, Live Well, and Thrive, I want to take you deeper into the Revive series. Last episode, we talked about taking inventory and making room. But this time, we’re going one step further, into the conversation itself. It’s one thing to decide what we think should go in our lives. It’s another thing entirely to sit quietly before God and ask: “Lord… what do You say about this?” “How do You feel about how I’m living?” “What’s taking up space that belongs to You?” Over the last few years, the Lord began speaking to me through ordinary moments—in waiting rooms, school pickup lines, and everyday life—with four words I couldn’t shake: “There’s no room for Me here.” Not from a place of condemnation. From invitation. In this episode, I’m sharing how distraction, busyness, noise, scrolling, and constantly filling every empty space can slowly numb us to God’s presence, His voice, and even the people right in front of us. We’ll talk about: • Why distraction affects us spiritually • The “thorny ground” in Mark 4 and what’s choking out fruit in our lives • The hidden power behind phrases like “I know I should, but…” • Why simple obedience changes everything • The story of the rich young ruler—and what happens when God presses on the one thing we don’t want to release • And how revival often begins by simply making room again This episode isn’t about shame or legalism. It’s about closeness. Connection. Awareness. And learning how to live undistracted enough to actually hear God again. If you’ve been feeling spiritually tired, emotionally cluttered, disconnected, overwhelmed, or like you’ve lost some of your fire lately… I think this conversation will speak to you. Scriptures referenced: Mark 4 — The Parable of the Sower Proverbs 4:20–23 Mark 10 — The Rich Young Ruler Thanks for being here. Let’s keep learning how to get well, live well, and thrive—together.
