We congratulate these industry leaders for their accomplishments, learn from their insight and draw inspiration from their indomitable spirit.  This limited edition podcast series is an initiative of the BC Construction Association.  Visit our website at bccassn.com  Celebrated in this episode: As Senior Project Manager at Greyback Construction Ltd. for 25 years, Terry Brown led commercial, industrial, institutional and multi-residential projects. In 2009, he retired from Greyback to launch STBR Consulting, his own construction consulting and project management company. Terry holds a B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia. The many credentials he’s earned include accreditation as a Certified Director, a Gold Seal Professional Certified Project Manager (P.GSC) and a journeyman carpenter. Terry continues to contribute this expertise to the industry with current and past volunteer activities including: BCCA and regional BC construction associations, WorkSafeBC, the CCA National Gold Seal Committee, the Canadian Construction Document Committee, Pentowna Marina Board of Directors, the Canadian Construction Association, the Construction Sector Council, the Canadian Design-Build Institute, the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum, among others. In 2018 Terry was awarded CCA’s Person of the Year and in 2013 he was the recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Award.  We are proud to feature Terry Brown in BCCA's Legends of Construction podcast series, celebrating the leadership and innovation of those who built BC.  We thank Kirk LaPointe, for his contribution to this podcast. Wayne is the son of Ken Farey, one of three journeymen carpenters who founded W. Campbell Ltd. in 1964. Along with William (Bill) Campbell and Archie Campbell, Ken Farey, formed the Victoria-based construction company whose mission was to deliver superior craftsmanship on all projects, big or small. In 1976, the company became Campbell Construction Ltd, with Ken Farey taking the helm as President. Today, Campbell Construction remains committed to its mission, has grown its workforce to over 250 employees, and operates under the progressive direction of Ken’s son, Wayne Farey, President. Connie has been inspiring the Silver Springs Concrete Services team for over 25 years. In addition to many years on the job, she has received important education, honed her skills and earned certificates, as the world of concrete has evolved. Connie enjoys meeting and working with the community during site visits, however, her greatest pleasure is working on commercial projects. Visit our website at bccassn.com  President of Maxwell Floors, Rick Wagner also sits on the Board of Directors at the National Floor Covering Association, as well as at INSTALL, the International Standards and Training Alliance. Boasting over 38 years' experience in the contract floorcovering industry, Rick began at Maxwell Floors the company in 1980 as an apprentice floor mechanic/ installer and received his journeyman certification in 1984. Founded in 1965, at Sapperton, New Westminster, Maxwell Floors is one of Western Canada’s leading contract floor covering companies. Maxwell provides the supply and installation services of resilient, carpet and specialty products to the industrial, commercial and institutional markets and has completed nine public-private partnerships (P3) Health Care projects.  In 1984, Rick moved to Zurich, Switzerland to further his floor covering training and certifications. He returned to BC after three years to rejoin the family business as a salesperson.
