Steamed Buns And Other Serious Arguments

Send us a text message! Tell us what you think! A single question blows the whole room up: is a hot dog a sandwich? We don’t just argue “yes” or “no” we argue the rules, because the answer changes the second you define what a sandwich even is. Two separate slices of bread? A bun that counts as one piece? Bread plus filling no matter what? Somewhere in the middle we also learn far too much about microwaves, steamed buns, and the kinds of opinions people will defend like it’s a court case. Then we swing hard into movie review mode with Disclosure Day. We give credit where it’s due, but we also dig into the moments that made us roll our eyes: plot leaps, characters acting dumber than they should, and big themes like empathy and religion that get teased and then left behind. If you love breaking down story structure, this part hits all the classic “why didn’t the script just do X?” questions. From there it’s pure pop culture podcast chaos in the best way: quick reactions to recent watches, debate about what we want from superhero movies and shared universes, and a full-on Star Wars trivia gauntlet where we argue the questions as much as we answer them. We round it out with real-life check-ins (work stress, moving plans, Fourth of July waterfront music) and collector talk about Funko Pop pricing, exclusives, and why clearance shelves are getting wild. Subscribe for more unfiltered pop culture takes, share this with the friend who will fight you over sandwiches, and leave a review telling us your hot dog verdict: sandwich or not? Somehow Our Tangents Returned

Send us a text message! Tell us what you think! Somebody says “Disney trip” and suddenly we’re doing spreadsheets in our heads. We start with the real-life stuff, getting kids up, summer routines, and the constant question of whether paid skip-the-line tools like Lightning Lane actually save time or just move the stress around. If you’ve ever planned Disneyland or Disney World with a family, you’ll recognize the mix of excitement and “how is this already so expensive?” math.  Then we hit sad news that stops the joking for a minute: Tom Kane has passed away. We talk through why voice actors matter so much to fans of animation, video games, and Star Wars, and why losing a voice you grew up with feels like losing a piece of the culture itself. From there, it’s straight into the fire, with a no-holds-barred Rise of Skywalker debate that turns into a bigger conversation about franchise storytelling, studio leadership, and what happens when there’s no plan.  We round it out with the fun stuff and the petty stuff: No Doubt at the Sphere, thoughts on The Boys, moving and packing collectibles, Disney pins, secret movie nights, quick movie recommendations, and the one thing that can ruin any screening no matter how good the film is: the people sitting near you. Hit play for a very honest pop culture podcast hang, then subscribe, share with a friend, and leave a review. What part of the conversation did you argue with most? Fan Expo Denver To EDC Weddings To Disneyland Chaos

Send us a text message! Tell us what you think! A convention floor full of forgettable booths, a festival crowd packed so tight it moves like a wave, and a Disney line where teenagers try to rewrite the rules in real time. We’re trading stories from three very different worlds and figuring out what actually makes a trip memorable when the hype wears off.  We start with Fan Expo Denver, where the shopping disappoints but the panels save the weekend. From Lord of the Rings guests to Orlando Bloom’s early-career surprises and Star Wars creators who clearly love the craft, we talk about why a great Q and A can beat a “must-buy” show floor. We also get honest about Artist Alley flow problems, repeated inventory, and how conventions can feel wildly different year to year even with the same branding.  Then we jump to EDC Las Vegas, including the play-by-play of friends getting married at the festival, the transportation chess game of moving groups, and what happens when one massive DJ set pulls everyone into the same space. From Hotel EDC pool days to airport lounge timing and wind that cuts right through you, it’s a practical look at festival logistics plus the moments that make it worth it.  We wrap with Disney World and Disneyland: Animal Kingdom ride breakdowns, Epcot favorites, Disney World versus Disneyland comparisons, and a Disneyland trip that includes a Space Mountain line-cutting standoff during grad night. If you love comic cons, EDC, Disney parks, and fandom travel stories with real takeaways, hit play. A Surprise New York Detour Turns Into A Full Geek Vacation

Send us a text message! Tell us what you think! You ever get home from a trip and realize the thing you missed most wasn’t a landmark, a restaurant, or even your own bed, it was your bidet? That’s where we start, and somehow it turns into a full travel saga that jumps from Florida to a Disney Cruise Line sailing, then veers into a surprise New York City side quest before dropping us back into Disney World mode. We dig into the real nuts and bolts of cruising, like why Disney transportation can beat renting a car, how Castaway Club status perks actually change your booking window and boarding group, and what stands out on the Disney Cruise Line Destiny with its heroes and villains vibe. Then we get dangerously competitive with a Marvel Superfan trivia showdown that goes from clickers to the stage, ends in a tiebreaker, and proves that family vacations can be wholesome and ruthless at the same time. NYC becomes the fast-paced pivot: LaGuardia, midtown hotel life, bagels, Joe’s Pizza, Times Square, and the moment you learn New Yorkers treat crosswalk signs like gentle suggestions. The highlight is Broadway, with our reactions to Stranger Things: The First Shadow and why it’s worth seeing for the effects and story payoff. We close with full spoilers on Mandalorian And Grogu, what works, what drags, and the bigger question hanging over it all: is Star Wars better as a Disney Plus series or as a theatrical movie? Subscribe for more weekly chaos, share this with a friend who loves Disney or Star Wars, and leave a review with your take: should Mandalorian And Grogu have been Season 4 instead? Mando, Merch, And Mayhem

Send us a text message! Tell us what you think! Star Wars hype is back in the theater, and we’re trying to walk the line between being excited and being realistic about what Mandalorian and Grogu can actually deliver. We talk through the early chatter, the “is it just a long episode?” concern, and why some of us still want the story to connect to the bigger Star Wars timeline even if it’s technically a standalone adventure. We also get honest about how fandom changes our first watch: the nitpicks come fast, then the second viewing turns into pure vibes. From there, we spiral into the real world of Disney Star Wars marketing and collectibles. Burger King cups, toys that feel a little cheap, snacks that make sense, and licensing that absolutely does not. If you’ve ever wondered where the line is between fun merch and brand overload, we’re right there with you, comparing it to the Episode I era when we bought everything and questioning whether today’s Grogu-cute audience really spends the same way. We also dig into Galaxy’s Edge updates, including the timeline shift toward the original trilogy and how Disney is basically patching canon in real time. Add in convention planning for Denver and San Diego, plus a quick detour through sports talk like the Golden Knights and NFL schedules, and you’ve got a classic hangout episode with big nerd energy. If you like smart, funny pop culture talk with strong opinions and zero pressure to agree, subscribe, share this with a Star Wars friend, and leave us a review. What would make you walk out of Mandalorian and Grogu truly satisfied? Voice intro and music Intro music by Alex GrohlAlexGrohl - Pixabay

Disneyland Runs And May The 4th Shopping Chaos

Send us a text message! Tell us what you think! The most chaotic part of being a Star Wars fan isn’t the Sith, it’s the checkout button. We go from a laid-back Disneyland weekend to the full-on mess of Star Wars Celebration 2027 tickets, and we don’t hold back about why the process frustrates so many people. We talk Readpop, the Qit queue, missing wait-time transparency, confusing checkout steps, and the way high purchase limits feed the reseller ecosystem. We also push back on the internet’s favorite coping story and explain why “it was all scalpers” doesn’t match how these limited ticket drops actually work.  On the happier side of fandom, we swap notes on doing Disneyland as passholders when rides aren’t the priority, then dive into Galaxy’s Edge shopping, Oga’s Cantina’s DJ Rex mug, and the kind of souvenirs that look amazing until you remember you have to clean them. May the 4th gets its own spending confession booth too, with LEGO Star Wars rewards, Disney Store exclusives, Roosevelt shirts selling out in-cart, and the never-ending hunt for the “right” collectible.  We also hit the screen stuff that’s keeping us excited: early IMAX footage from The Mandalorian and Grogu, plus big reactions to the Maul finale and what makes Vader feel genuinely terrifying again. We close out with love for Daredevil’s finale and a quick look at the upcoming movie slate, including a Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick double feature plan. If you’ve ever battled a ticket queue, chased a merch drop, or just want to nerd out with us, hit subscribe, share the show with a friend, and leave a review so more fans can find it. What Do Our Obsessions Say About Us

Send us a text message! Tell us what you think! Movie nights should be simple, but we somehow turn one watch into a full pop culture pinball machine. We start with real reactions to K-Pop Demon Hunters, why the songs hit harder than they should, and how a “predictable” story can still be a great time when the animation and pacing work. From there we slide into what we’re hyped for next, including thoughts on the Michael Jackson biopic and how these movies choose a “winner’s perspective” whether they admit it or not. Then we switch gears into an NFL Draft recap with the kind of fan logic you hear at the bar, only with more detail. We talk team needs versus best player available, why the Rams taking a quarterback early is either smart planning or a waste of a win-now window, and what makes a draft feel quiet even when the TV coverage screams urgency. We also get into the money side: rookie contract guarantees, the huge pay gap between picks, NIL complications, and why state taxes can matter more than people think. We round it out with convention stories and collector culture, from VIP lines and voice actor signings to the merch you swear you won’t buy again until you do. Add in Xbox Game Pass pricing debates, finishing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and one brutal reminder that teeth are expensive, and you’ve got a classic hangout episode with real takes underneath the jokes. Subscribe, share this with one friend who’d actually enjoy it, and leave a review so more people can find the show. Voice intro and music Intro music by Alex GrohlAlexGrohl - Pixabay

The Star Wars Show Ranking Draft

Send us a text message! Tell us what you think! We tried to do a simple ranking of Disney era Star Wars TV shows and accidentally started a full-on draft war. Our only rule is rewatchability: if you’re stuck on a long flight and Disney Plus is loaded up, what Star Wars series do you choose first and which one do you skip without guilt? That one question exposes everything, from pacing and editing to whether a show actually earns its big moments. From the bottom tier (yes, we go there with The Acolyte and Resistance) to the messy middle of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Tales mini-series, and Ahsoka, we keep coming back to continuity and character bridges. If a show relies on quick dialogue to explain years of tension, we call it out. If a flashback muddies the timeline instead of strengthening the present story, we call that out too. And if a season turns into a different show halfway through, we argue about whether that tanks the whole series. Then we climb into the heavy hitters: The Mandalorian and the cost of uneven seasons, Andor and why politics absolutely belong in Star Wars, The Bad Batch and the rare choice to let consequences stay permanent, and the eternal debate of Clone Wars versus Rebels. We also hit a classic fandom pressure point: how many Jedi surviving Order 66 is “too many” and what it looks like when new canon characters get introduced in an organic way. If you love ranking Star Wars shows, debating canon, or just want a list that’s built on what’s actually worth rewatching, hit play. Subscribe, share this with the friend who always starts a Star Wars argument, and leave a review with your personal top three. Voice intro and music Intro music by Alex GrohlAlexGrohl - Pixabay
