What Will People Think? How I Stopped Letting Other People's Opinions Define Me

How much of your life have you spent worrying about what other people think of you? For many years, fear of judgment quietly influenced the way I moved through my own life. In this personal episode of Lifestyle Reset, I share how being shy, bullied, and made to feel different as a child affected the way I saw myself—and how some of those experiences followed me into adulthood through self-doubt, limiting beliefs, fear of judgment, and difficulty fully expressing myself. Over time, I began to realize that finding my voice wasn't about becoming louder, more outgoing, or someone completely different. It was about learning to trust, accept, and ultimately love the person I already was. We'll talk about: * How childhood experiences can shape the beliefs we carry about ourselves * The subtle ways fear of judgment can influence our choices and keep us playing small * Why we sometimes silence ourselves or seek approval from others * The connection between self-expression, confidence, and overall well-being * Why finding your voice doesn't mean becoming louder—it means becoming more comfortable being yourself * How self-love became an important part of finding my confidence and voice * A simple Lifestyle Reset to help you recognize whether an old belief is really yours—or a voice you've carried from your past And I'll leave you with two questions to take into your week: "Whose voice is that?" And perhaps an even more important one: "What do I think?" If you've ever held yourself back, questioned whether you were good enough, or worried about what people would think if you showed up as your true self, this episode is for you. Maybe finding your voice isn't about becoming someone new. Maybe it's about finally giving yourself permission to be who you've been all along. https://linktr.ee/LMBLifestyleCoaching coachingbylisa@gmail.com

Permission to Exhale: A Summer Reset for Teachers (and Anyone Running on Empty)

You made it to summer. So why doesn't your body feel like it knows that yet? I'm talking to every teacher who made it to summer break and expected relief but instead got exhaustion, a head cold, or a weird flatness that you still might be carrying into July. There's a reason for that, and it's not in your head. Your nervous system spent 10 months in overdrive, and it doesn't just switch off because the bell stopped ringing. I'm walking you through what's actually happening in your body after a school year — the cortisol, the hormones, the stress your body has been storing in your shoulders and your gut — and then giving you real, doable practices to help you come down off that year. Not a 10-step wellness overhaul. Just small, honest things you can actually do this summer, even if you're also raising kids and caring for aging parents at the same time. In this episode, we cover: Why your nervous system doesn't just switch off when summer starts (and why so many teachers get sick the first week)The cortisol-hormone connection, especially for women in perimenopause and menopauseSimple nervous system regulation practices you can fold into things you're already doingA gentle, doable approach to fasting as a reset toolHow to actually repair your sleep after a year of running on emptyThe emotional detox most of us skip — and why it mattersSmall ways to start rebuilding your gut healthReconnecting with who you are outside of your roleHow to set boundaries now that protect you when September comes If you're a teacher who's been running on fumes and calling it "fine" — this one's for you. And if you're not a teacher? Stick around anyway — the stress and burnout we're talking about today shows up in any job, or any season where you just need to slow down.
