  1. Ep. 123 Taming the Beast: Life Lessons from The Sandlot

Ep. 123 Taming the Beast: Life Lessons from The Sandlot

Summer has a way of slowing us down just enough to notice what God has been teaching us all along. In this special summer catch-up episode, I'm sharing a lesson I didn't expect to learn while watching my son play All-Star baseball. Like many kids, he's wrestled with confidence, perfectionism, and letting his emotions take over after mistakes. This summer, he attended a baseball camp that focused less on mechanics and more on mindset—and they taught it through the classic movie The Sandlot. Remember "The Beast"? The neighborhood kids built it up into a terrifying monster, only to discover it was never as frightening as they imagined. Isn't that exactly what fear does in our own lives? Whether it's worrying about our children, fearing failure, doubting ourselves, or hesitating to step into what God is calling us to do, the enemy loves to magnify our fears until they seem impossible to overcome. But God has given us something greater than fear—a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. In this episode, we'll talk about: ⚾ What youth baseball taught me about faith and mindset 🐾 Why fear grows when we feed it 💙 How the enemy exaggerates the "Beasts" in our minds ✝️ What Scripture teaches us about overcoming fear 🌸 Practical ways to replace fearful thoughts with God's truth If you've been feeling overwhelmed by the "what ifs," this episode is a gentle reminder that our fears often look much larger from a distance than they do when we face them with Christ beside us. Friend, the Beast isn't as big as you think—but our God is bigger than you've ever imagined.

Ep. 122 Your Summer Body Image Pep-Talk

It's time to stop letting body image steal your joy! So many women spend the warmest, most memory-filled months of the year worrying about how they look instead of fully living the moments right in front of them. But God didn't create your body to be your biggest distraction. He created it to help you love, serve, play, hug your kids, take vacations, swim, laugh, and experience the beautiful life He's given you. In this encouraging re-released episode, I'm sharing the pep talk I think every woman needs before heading to the pool, the beach, the family barbecue, or anywhere body image tries to convince us we don't belong. Together, we'll learn how to shift our focus from appearance to purpose so we can be fully present for the people and moments that matter most. Inside this episode, we'll talk about: ☀️ Why body image struggles often feel louder during the summer 💛 How to stop letting appearance dictate your confidence 🌿 Practical mindset shifts to help you enjoy summer without body shame ✨ How to embrace the body God has given you with gratitude and grace This summer isn't about having the "perfect" body. It's about making memories, loving the people around you, and living the life God has called you to—without body image stealing another moment of your joy. If you've been waiting to feel confident before fully participating in your life, this episode is your reminder: You don't have to wait. You are already worthy of showing up. 🎧 Share this episode with a friend who needs this reminder today.

Ep. 121 Holy Habits: Summer Self-Care for Busy Mom

As moms, we spend so much of the summer making memories for everyone else that it's easy to forget something important: You matter, too. In this week's re-released episode, we're talking about what it looks like to care for yourself—not from a place of guilt or striving, but from a place of faithful stewardship. Because self-care isn't about escaping your family or earning a break. It's about creating simple, holy habits that allow you to show up with more peace, patience, energy, and joy in the season God has entrusted to you. In this episode, we'll create a practical summer self-care plan that nourishes your whole person—mind, body, and soul—without adding more to your already full plate. Inside this episode, we'll explore: ☀️ Why biblical self-care is an act of stewardship, not selfishness 🌿 Simple habits to nourish your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health 💛 How small, consistent choices create lasting peace and joy ✨ A practical self-care plan you can actually stick with this summer Remember, taking care of yourself isn't taking away from your family—it's one of the greatest gifts you can give them. Because when you're nourished, you're able to love, serve, and be present from a place of abundance instead of exhaustion. So grab your notebook, download the companion worksheet, and let's create a summer that nourishes not only your family... but you, too. 🎧 If this episode encourages you, share it with another mom who could use this reminder.
