    S1E9 - @PetrolPassionisto Pt. 1

    Is he the most colorful Brit in the Netherlands? Is he the most chaotic colorful Brit in the Netherlands? Is he the most bonkers Brit in the Netherlands? Absolutely no idea, but what I do know is that he’s @petrolpassionisto also known as Mr. John Hart, and on the next episode of The Carspotcast! This episode will be split in two parts, as the first part was completely needed to get through John’s insane 10 piece car collection, which consists of lovely performance cars and wonderful unicorns, including this Sun Yellow Jaguar XJ Super V8.

    S1E8 - @s106Rallye

    This episode we welcome Fred, short for Frédérick, to the podcast! Fred and I have been in touch for quite a long time, hut we first met when he moved to the south of the Netherlands for his work as a test engineer for Daf Trucks. Funny story: his current daily driver, a Ford Mondeo ST220, was offered to me before he bought it, but I chickened out into owning my childhood dream. We talk about Fred's incredible daily driver, but also his Peugeot 106 Rallye. We discuss how Freds heritage (he's half German and half French) influenced his car life. Last but not least, we look for the ultimate performance family car for €20.000. Enjoy this new episode!

    S1E7 - @Will.I.Drive

    Announcing the next guest of The Carspotcast: it’s @will.i.drive! Also known as @will.drive, Will came down all the way from Edinburgh to be a guest on the podcast. Oh well, he came to visit his dad, as he’s half Dutch, and happened to make some time for me! Having only recently joined the carspotter community, Will and I have known each other since 2019, at the very start of @parkedindutchstreets. To have him on the podcast was truly a delight, as he’s quite a versatile car lover too! We talked about his love for Volvo, Joep died on the floor laughing when Will told the story of his #LalaLaguna, and we did a Car Search for the best European Road Trip Cruiser for €8.000.

    S1E6 - @DanielPronto

    In this new episode of the Carspotcast, Joep invites his friend Daniel to the podcast. Daniel is a true citizen of the world, but is deeply rooted in Mozambique, and decided to come to the Netherlands for a study in automotive engineering. Daniel tells me about the cars that his family owns in Mozambique and the car he drives in the Netherlands. We talk about Daniel's carspotting account @carsofarnhem, how we're both car omnivores and what the ultimate car is for having a midlife crisis, which is also our car search for this episode. Don't expect too much of a serious conversation though: the combination of Daniel & Joep made for a lot of corny and stupid jokes. Enjoy!

    Special - Eurotrashweek

    "Hello Europe!” is what we’re saying from the 6th of May onwards, as #Eurotrashweek has become a tradition for car spotters to lighten up Eurovision week with all the Eurotrash cars. A much heard question is “What are Eurotrash cars?”, and to those I say: you simply get it or do not get it. Anyways… a description would be: all European cars that are not known as good cars. In this episode, the Eurotrash Council opens #Eurotrashweek by talking about their favorite #eurotrash. These will be split up in categories separated by categories: Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Rest of Europe. In each of these categories, the members of the Eurotrash Council bring their favorite Eurotrash cars from these countries. After their plea, they bring out their twelve points/douze points/twaalf punten to the Eurotrash car of the category they like best! Enjoy this campy old time of a Carspotcast Special and enjoy #eurotrashweek!

    S1E5 - @DionHillebrink

    Welcome to another new episode of the Carspotcast! The guest of this episode illustrated that you can make a very decent living of tuning Saabs: it's Dion Hillebrink. The Dutch Saab community will recognize this name as no other - the man also known as DionHPT. Dion is a talented chip tuner and has made many Saab owners much happier with their cars. However, Dion's tuning is available to any car with a turbo - as long as it is in good health. Dion welcomed me at his workplace, AutoFirst Saab Apeldoorn, to talk about his life, his profession and, of course, cars. Dion told me how DionHPT was born, we both searched for a 'Tunable Turbo' for €10.000, and we talked about a shared passion for a very specific Italian luxury sedan... Enjoy!

    Announcing the next guest on The Carspotcast: it’s fellow Maastricht resident @residential_cars. The one and only person I know that has a tattoo of a Renault Twingo! We get to talk about how he got to the name for his Instagram and what a “residential car” actually is, about the insane collection of cars his parents owned, about how he owns 3 Citroëns out of which only 1 is road legal, and about how his past, current and dream cars are all Citroën ZXs. You’ve never heard anyone talk about the Citroën ZX THIS much…

    S1E3 - @Plankhond

    In the third episode of the Carspotcast we'll welcome the Queen of carspotting: it's @plankhond, also known as Maurice. As a friend of the show, Maurice knew what was waiting for him, so he made sure he was very prepared. Maurice knew exactly what he wanted to talk about: his love for big sedans, 00s Renaults and the Peugeot 307. Maurice tells us about the vital role the Citroën BX has played in his life, tell us the story about how he got to own a Renault Avantime, and takes us through his fleet of cars. Last but not least, in the Car Search, we both searched for the ultimate #IWantMyMPV!

    S1E2 - @Kekkekarren

    In the second episode of the Carspotcast, it is my friend Daan, also known as the Dutch carspotter @kekkekarren, who will be a guest on the show! Shooting Kekke Karren all over the Netherlands, Daan will make a first venture in English instead of Dutch and will be diving into his car life together with me in the next episode. We will take a look at the 3 cars Daan owns (of which 2 are broken), we’ll have a chat about Daan’s car-loving family, we’ll treat you to a #dailydoseofdacia and Joep and Daan will disagree on a car Joep loves and Daan hates. We even went out to look for the ultimate #KekkeKar for a limited budget, with some unexpected cars joining in on the party… There might even be a cat (or two 🐱) and another carspotter be joining in on the party… Hilarity and laughter will be guaranteed in the next episode!
