Ship Within a Ship: Your Guide to Luxury Cruise Experiences

Ever heard of a "ship within a ship"? It's the biggest trend in cruising right now — exclusive areas on major cruise lines that give you the best of both worlds: all the amenities of a big ship with the calm, high-class service of a small one. In this episode, Greg is joined by fellow travel agent Heather Warfell to break down the luxury suite experiences across six cruise lines — what's included, what's not, and how to figure out which one is right for you. Heather shares her firsthand experience in MSC Yacht Club (including how she bid her way in from a standard balcony), and together they walk through Norwegian Haven, Royal Caribbean's three-tier Royal Suite Class, Carnival Family Harbor, Disney Cruise Line Concierge, and the adult-focused options from Celebrity and Virgin Voyages. The big takeaway: don't just compare room prices. When you add up the drink packages, Wi-Fi, specialty dining, gratuities, and priority access you'd buy anyway, the upgrade is often closer than you think. Whether you're a first-time cruiser curious about the hype or a seasoned traveler ready to try the VIP experience, this episode will help you understand exactly what you're getting — and what to ask your travel agent about before you book.
