Somebody’s Gotta Say It l, is basically where I talk about the stuff everybody is already talking about.  Sports, music, movies, pop culture, relationships, life, all of it. But I’m usually more interested in the part nobody is really talking about. Sometimes I’ll be right.  Sometimes I’ll be dead wrong.  Either way, I’m gonna have something to say. This isn’t breaking news.  And I’m not just trying to give hot takes.  I want to talk about why we care about this stuff, what it says about us, and why people see things so differently. Sometimes it’ll just be me.  Sometimes I’ll be talking to people I think are interesting.  Sometimes we might disagree.  That’s part of it. Because every now and then, somebody’s gotta say it.

What Three Weeks in Japan Taught Me About Myself

I went to Japan for three weeks thinking I was taking a trip. I wasn’t. I went during the biggest transition of my life at 39 years old, a brand new rebranded podcast, a public pivot away from everything I’d been building for years.  I thought Japan would give me great content.  What it actually gave me was something I didn’t expect and couldn’t fully plan for. In this episode I’m talking about what happens when you take yourself somewhere completely unfamiliar and everything you use to define yourself stops working.   And what’s left is just you. Note… my laptop died mid-recording so this episode ends abruptly.  I thought about not posting it.  But that felt too clean for what this trip actually was. Out Loud.

I Think I'm Finally Becoming Myself Again

In this episode, I talk honestly about something I’ve been realizing lately… how social media, pressure, performance, and constantly trying to “say the right thing”, slowly made me lose touch with parts of myself. While being out here in Japan, I’ve had time to reflect on creativity, identity, authenticity, purpose, burnout, content creation, and what it actually means to feel like yourself again. I talk about: - overthinking your voice online - feeling pressure to always sound deep or inspirational - social media performance vs real personality - why culture, music, sports, humor, and creativity matter to me - becoming more expressive and honest - rediscovering joy in creating again - why people connect more with authenticity than perfection This episode is for creators, entrepreneurs, artists, high performers, and anyone who feels like they’ve been disconnected from themselves trying to become who they thought they were supposed to be. Recorded in Japan. #podcast #selfdevelopment #creativity #mindset #authenticity #socialmedia #identity #selfgrowth #mentalhealth #motivation #creator #culture #podcasting #personaldevelopment

Triple H Over Shawn Michaels?! Sports Illustrated’s WWE Top 20 List Is Wild

Sports Illustrated dropped a Top 20 WWE Superstars of All Time list, and I had two major problems with it: Triple H being ranked over Shawn Michaels, and Roman Reigns being placed in the top 5 already. In this episode of Out Loud with Aaron Simpson, I break down why Shawn Michaels should be ranked above Triple H, why Roman Reigns is one of the most important stars of this era but not top 5 all time yet, and what actually makes a WWE superstar great. We’re talking Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Roman Reigns, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena, Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, Bret Hart, CM Punk, and why wrestling fans will never agree on all-time rankings. I have some thoughts!

I Don’t Care About The Trial. I Just Want To Enjoy MJ

The Michael movie is out and everyone wants to make it about the trial and the controversies surrounding his legacy.  I’m not doing that.  In this episode, I talk about the legacy, why I’m an unapologetic fan, and why you don’t need anyone’s permission to enjoy great art. I also reflect on what Michael Jackson meant to a generation, why people are protective of Michael, and why the bigger issue may not be the movie itself but how people engage with entertainment now.

Turning 39, What I'm Leaving Behind, and What My 30's Taught Me

As I prepare to turn 39, Im reflecting on what Im no longer willing to carry into this next chapter.  In this episode, we talk about leaving behind the expectations of others, poor lifestyle habits, and the silence that can slowly disconnect you from your real voice. A personal conversation about honesty, identity, growth, self-respect, and what it means to stop shrinking and start living more fully.  More Out Loud!   Happy birthday to me!

People Pleasing Is Costing You Your Voice | First Episode of Out Loud with Aaron Simpson

In the first episode of Out Loud w/Aaron Simpson, he shares the heart behind the new name and direction of the podcast by talking about one of the biggest ways people lose themselves: people pleasing.  This is not a step-by-step guide. It is a wake-up call.  A conversation about identity, voice, self-abandonment, and what happens when you spend too much of your life trying to keep other people comfortable.  Aaron brings awareness to the cost of shrinking yourself, silencing your truth, and disconnecting from who you really are. If this connected, make sure you follow/subscribe to the podcast, wherever you listen from!

Why Nothing Changes Until You Decide

Most people aren’t stuck because they don’t know what to do.  They know EXACTLY what to do.  They’re just waiting to feel ready before they decide. In this episode of Done, Not Perfect, Ace breaks down why clarity ONLY comes after decision.  He also talks about why the comfort zone feels so hard to leave and wht seeking permission, is the real killer of progress.  Lets get it!
