Dr. Michelle Greenwell

Maximize your self-care plan with practical tools, reflective practices, and energetic insights that help you live, work, and lead with greater vitality. Be Well with Dr. Michelle Greenwell invites you into meaningful conversations that bridge movement, energy medicine, intentional living, and compassionate care. Dr. Michelle Greenwell—educator, movement specialist, and leader in BioEnergetic Wellness—guides listeners through episodes designed to align intention with action. Each episode offers inspiration and grounded practices you can integrate into daily life, whether at home, in the workplace, or within caregiving and leadership roles. This season expands the depth of the podcast through special multi-episode trilogies, allowing listeners to explore healing topics more fully. These trilogy series create space to dive deeper into the lived experiences, science, and transformational tools shared by Dr. Greenwell’s guests—supporting real, sustainable change rather than quick fixes. A monthly featured series with Laurin Wittig brings focused attention to dementia, caregiving, connection, and quality of life. These conversations explore how presence, creativity, movement, nature, and relational awareness can support both those living with dementia and those who walk alongside them. This series is especially meaningful for families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and communities seeking compassionate, human-centered approaches. Each month also includes episodes highlighting Dr. Greenwell’s own teachings—drawing from Tai Chi, subtle energy, movement-based self-care, and intention-setting—to support resilience, nervous system regulation, and ease during life’s transitions. These insights are especially supportive for entrepreneurs, caregivers, and professionals experiencing fatigue, overwhelm, or burnout. A signature element of the podcast is the tea ritual woven into each episode. Sponsored by the Greenwell Center for Holistic Health and the Cape Breton Tea Company, listeners are invited to slow down, sip intentionally, and explore how herbs, affirmations, and mindful pauses can enhance well-being. Featured blends include the Tea with Intention series and Harmony Blends, part of the Building Resiliency program designed to help unwind stress and trauma. Emotions and Healing: Circulation and Joy

What if joy isn't something we need to chase, but something we learn to circulate? In our final episode of Emotions & Healing, Dr. Michelle Greenwell is joined by Kate Montgomery, HHP, ND, and Denise Cambiotti, HCD, CIH BioEW, as we complete our journey through the Five Elements with a deeper exploration of Fire: the Circulation Sex and Triple Warmer meridians. These systems invite us to consider how we circulate energy, sustain vitality, regulate stress, and remain connected with joy, passion, and purpose. The Circulation Sex Meridian is associated with cellular nourishment and renewal, reproductive health, circulation, and emotional connection. Triple Warmer brings our attention to heat regulation, respiration, digestion, elimination, glandular and hormonal balance, and the stress response. Together, Kate, Denise, and Michelle explore what happens when stress becomes our normal state. How can fatigue, burnout, movement challenges, or “masked pain” disconnect us from joy? And what simple tools can help us restore balance? We also explore the muscle relationships associated with these meridians, including the hips, inner thighs, and lower legs, and consider their roles in stability, coordination, grounding, and propulsion. Tea with Intentions For our final tea ritual, we share Liberty Wine and Power Pack from the Cape Breton Tea Company. Sea Holly represents strength and resilience, inviting inner stability and the ability to stand confidently in our truth and vitality. Cardamom brings warmth and activation, awakening the senses and inviting joy and openness. Together, they represent balanced activation: not burnout, but sustained vitality and joy. Our affirmation: “The Fire Element supports processing, clearing, and enhancing the most important aspects of joyful living.” As you sip, ask yourself: Where does joy flow freely in my life? Where has stress or fatigue muted it? What would help me reconnect with vitality? This final episode reminds us that joy is not something we chase. It is something we circulate. As we complete Emotions & Healing, consider what you have discovered about your emotions, the patterns you now recognize, and the tools you are ready to bring into daily life. Explore courses with Denise through Muscle Tuners International, connect with Kate and her books, and continue learning with Michelle and Denise through the Movement Mastery Program. Emotions and Healing: Anger to Inspiration

What if anger isn't something we need to suppress, but a signal that something is blocked, misaligned, or ready to change? In Episode 6 of Emotions & Healing, Dr. Michelle Greenwell is joined by Kate Montgomery, HHP, ND, and Denise Cambiotti, HCD, CIH BioEW, to explore the Wood Element, Liver and Gall Bladder meridians, and the emotions of anger, resentment, and frustration. Wood represents growth, expansion, vision, planning, decision-making, and forward movement. When balanced, we can feel clear, motivated, decisive, and flexible. When challenged, we may experience irritability, impulsive decisions, indecision, stagnation, or the feeling that we simply cannot move forward. Kate and Denise explore how these emotions can influence our posture, movement, muscle responses, performance, recovery, and the choices we make. We also look at the Anterior Deltoid, Popliteus, Pectoralis Sternal, and Rhomboid muscle relationships through Touch for Health®. Tea with Intentions: Releasing the Warrior Our featured Cape Breton Tea Company blend is Releasing the Warrior, chosen to support the Wood Element and the transformation of anger into purposeful action. Dandelion represents resilience and release, inviting us to clear stored frustration and stagnant energy. Juniper Berry represents protection and clarity, helping us refine our direction, release emotional heaviness, and move forward with intention. Together, they remind us that strength is not about force. It is about clarity, direction, and release. As you sip, consider: Where am I holding tension? Where am I pushing too hard—or not moving at all? The Wood Element reminds us that growth requires both strength and flexibility. When we listen to anger rather than simply react to it, we can begin transforming frustration into movement, resentment into clarity, and anger into purposeful direction. Emotions and Healing: Fear to Courage

What happens when fear is no longer something we need to fight—but information we can learn to understand? In Episode 5 of Emotions & Healing, Dr. Michelle Greenwell is joined by Kate Montgomery, HHP, ND, and Denise Cambiotti, HCD, CIH BioEW, as we continue around the Five Element Wheel and explore the wisdom of the Water Element. Through the lens of Five Element Theory, Touch for Health®, and BioEnergetic Wellness, we explore the Kidney and Bladder meridians and their relationship with fear, anxiety, courage, resilience, trust, and our ability to move forward when life feels uncertain. Fear has an important purpose. It can alert us, protect us, and help us recognize when something requires our attention. But what happens when fear continues after the immediate challenge has passed? What happens when worry or anxiety begins influencing our choices, movement, posture, breathing, energy, or confidence? Instead of judging the emotion, we can become curious about the information it may be offering. In This Conversation We Explore: 💙 The Water Element within the Five Element Theory 💙 The Kidney and Bladder meridians 💙 Fear and anxiety as information rather than emotions we need to suppress 💙 The relationship between fear, courage, trust, and resilience 💙 How our bodies may respond when we feel uncertain or unsafe 💙 The influence of posture, movement, muscles, and emotional patterns 💙 Practical Touch for Health® and BioEnergetic Wellness tools that can support awareness and organization 💙 How small changes can help us recognize new choices and possibilities The Water Element reminds us that courage does not necessarily mean being without fear. Sometimes courage is recognizing fear, listening to what it has to say, and discovering that we still have choices about what happens next. Tea with Intentions As with every conversation in the Emotions & Healing series, we begin with a mindful pause and our Tea with Intentions. Our tea ritual gives us an opportunity to engage the senses, become present, establish an intention, and notice what changes before we begin exploring the Water Element. Prepare your own cup of tea, take a moment to notice your breath, and consider: What might become possible if I could acknowledge fear while still trusting myself to move forward? Building Your Emotional Wellness Toolbox One of the goals of this series is to help you develop simple skills you can return to in everyday life. You don't need to wait until emotions become overwhelming. By learning to notice subtle changes in breath, posture, movement, tension, energy, and emotional responses, we can begin developing greater awareness of what our bodies are communicating. That awareness gives us somewhere to begin. Continue Your Wellness Journey If this conversation sparks your curiosity, explore the Movement Mastery Program under the Wellness Training tab at GreenwellCenter.com. Understanding PTSD: Returning to the Heart

Trauma changes us—but it does not define us. In this heartfelt conversation, Dr. Michelle Greenwell welcomes internationally recognized author and self-help expert Faust Ruggiero, M.S. to explore the many faces of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and the path toward healing. Drawing from over forty years of professional experience and his  book, "The Fix Your PTSD Handbook", Faust explains how trauma affects the body, mind, and emotions, why PTSD exists on a spectrum rather than as a single diagnosis, and what practical steps can help people begin reconnecting with themselves and others. Together, they explore: 🌿 Understanding the five types of PTSD 🌿 How unresolved trauma affects the nervous system and emotional wellbeing 🌿 Why healing involves the whole person—not just the mind 🌿 Rebuilding trust after trauma 🌿 The importance of connection, hope, and compassionate support Dr. Greenwell also introduces a BioEnergetic Wellness perspective through the Five Element Wheel, offering a holistic way to understand how trauma can affect fear, grief, joy, grounding, and our sense of direction in life. Emotions and Healing: The Heart of the Fire Element

How do joy, love, passion, and emotional connection influence your health? In Episode 2 of Emotions & Healing, Dr. Michelle Greenwell welcomes Kate Montgomery, HHP, ND, and Denise Cambiotti, HCD, CIH BioEW, as they explore the Fire Element through the wisdom of the Five Element Theory, Touch for Health, and the BioEnergetic Wellness Formula. The Heart and Small Intestine meridians do far more than support circulation and digestion—they influence our ability to experience joy, develop meaningful relationships, make clear decisions, and remain emotionally resilient. When these systems become imbalanced, we may experience burnout, scattered thinking, emotional overwhelm, sleep disturbances, digestive challenges, or a loss of passion for the things we once loved. Together we explore: ❤️ The Fire Element and its role in emotional wellbeing ❤️ The Heart and Small Intestine meridians ❤️ Joy, love, passion, and emotional discernment ❤️ How emotional balance influences memory, focus, and relationships ❤️ Why burnout is often a sign of energetic imbalance ❤️ Simple Touch for Health tools that support heart-centered wellbeing ❤️ Practical strategies for restoring vitality and emotional resilience Tea with Intentions Today's featured blend from the Cape Breton Tea Company is **Apple Passion**, a heart-centered tea selected to support the Fire Element. About
