Speak A Word

In Luke 7:1–10, the centurion demonstrated a faith that caused even Jesus to marvel. In this message, Bishop Mills reminds us that faith is more than what we say we believe—it should be evident in how we live, how we respond to God's Word, and how we treat others. The centurion understood his position, but more importantly, he understood who Jesus was. He didn't consider himself worthy for Jesus to come under his roof, yet he had enough faith to believe that Jesus didn't have to be physically present to heal his servant. All He had to do was speak a word. His actions also demonstrated humility, sincerity, compassion, and a willingness to operate outside of his normal circle. He showed concern for his servant and respect for people who were different from him. We must be careful not to place all of our trust—or limit all of our experiences—to the people within our own circles. If everyone around us has the same characteristics, experiences, and perspectives, how will we ever learn anything different? As believers, we are called to stand on our faith and what we hear from God. We may not be able to see everything we hope for or touch everything we desire, but we can trust the authority of God's Word. Sow into what you believe, remain humble, and let your actions be evidence of your faith. Sometimes, all you need is for God to speak a word. Living My Best Life

What does it really mean to live your best life? In this message, Elder Mills teaches reminds us that our best life has nothing to do with earthly gain. Our best life is found in serving God, developing a relationship with Him, growing in Christ, and allowing His Word and the Holy Spirit to lead and direct our lives. Christ is coming back. Although no one knows the day or the hour, believers are called to live with expectation—continuing the work God has given us, staying the course, and examining whether our steps are ordered by Him. Living the life God intends will not always feel good or be easy. Your best life will require work. As we wait, we must remain grounded in the Word. We cannot allow the chaos around us, worldly thinking, or cultural mockery to weaken our confidence in what God has said. When we study His Word for ourselves, remain discerning, and patiently trust Him, we can stand firm even when we are tried. Your best life is growing in Christ and holding fast to what you believe. The Obstacle Might Be Me

In Jonah 1:1–16, Jonah receives clear instruction from God but chooses to go in the opposite direction. In this message, Bishop Mills challenges us to consider whether the obstacle standing between us and what God desires for our lives might sometimes be ourselves. God has called each of us to a purpose. He did not ask us to choose that purpose, and no matter how far we try to run, hide, overthink, or find another way, we cannot escape the presence of God. When we resist what He has called us to do, we may find that we have become the very obstacle standing in our own way. Rather than always questioning God, sometimes we need to question ourselves. Are we trusting Him? Are we taking ownership of our choices? Are we gaining strength from our struggles, or simply finding excuses for them? We cannot control everything that happens to us, but we can control how we respond. Trusting God can be one of the hardest parts of our walk as believers, but it is vital to our spiritual lives. When we trust Him, He will inform us, instruct us, lead us, and guide us—even through circumstances we never anticipated. Whatever purpose God has placed on your life, remain committed to Him. Face the fears and challenges that come with the journey, take ownership of yourself, and trust that God will never leave your side. Don’t allow yourself to become your own obstacle. Hebrews 11 reminds us that faith is the foundation of our walk with God. In this message, Bishop Phifer encourages us to trust what God has spoken—even when we cannot yet see what He has prepared. The enemy wants to disconnect us from the Word, because if he can starve our faith, he can weaken our endurance. But when the Word gets inside of us, faith begins to speak. We can stand with confidence knowing that God has not forgotten us, He has our back, and our faith is leading us toward what He has prepared. God has placed faith within us not only for ourselves, but so that we can impact His Kingdom. Faith may be invisible to the natural eye, but its impact can be seen in our lives. When we believe God's Word, pray with expectation, and allow our faith to speak, what once seemed impossible becomes possible. Don't settle for less than what God desires for you. In 2 Timothy 2, Paul uses the examples of a soldier, an athlete, and a farmer to illustrate the endurance required of believers. In “Giving Up Is Not an Option for Us: We Have to Go All the Way,” Pastor Stephens reminds us that following Christ does not mean we will be exempt from trials, hardship, or discouragement—but through Jesus, we can find the strength and peace to keep going. A soldier must endure hardship. An athlete cannot receive the reward if they drop out of the race. And a farmer cannot expect a harvest without first putting in the labor and planting the seed. In the same way, believers must be willing to endure, remain faithful, and continue trusting God even when life becomes difficult. There may be moments when we fall, become discouraged, or even lose our way, but giving up is not an option. When we know who God is—and know who and whose we are—we realize that we cannot stay down. Others are watching how the Church responds in times of adversity. Will we continue standing on the Gospel and trusting God when everything around us seems to be going wrong? The true Church continues on. Jesus endured the cross and paid the price for sin once and for all. He fought for us, and now He asks us to make Him Lord of our lives and follow Him all the way. In Mark 6:5, we see Jesus in a place where unbelief affected what could take place. In this message, Pastor Bynum reminds us of the importance of maintaining an atmosphere of faith and expectation for God to move. Sometimes while we’re waiting on a miracle for ourselves, we may have to watch others receive theirs first. But that doesn’t mean we stop believing. We have to be mindful of who we allow to accompany us, refuse to be discouraged by what others say, and keep walking in faith. Sometimes, you just need God to come to your house. Keep an atmosphere where Jesus can do whatever He needs to do, and don’t allow familiarity, doubt, or the opinions of others to interfere with what God wants to accomplish. What Shall I Render?

There is nothing we could ever do to fully repay God for all He has done for us—but His goodness should create within us a desire to give Him our best. In this message, “What Shall I Render?”, Elder D. Mills reminds us to reflect on what God has brought us through, recognize the gift of salvation, and live with a heart of gratitude. God doesn’t need us—we need Him. Yet after receiving His love, grace, protection, and deliverance, we should still ask, “God, what can I give back to You?” God doesn’t want our leftovers; He wants our best. We can render unto Him our sacrifice of praise, our obedience, our availability, and ultimately, a life that is pleasing and acceptable to Him. Don’t allow what you’ve gone through to make you unappreciative of where God has brought you. Remember what He has done, trust Him in all things, and honor Him with your life. God Knows What He's Doing

God’s knowledge and wisdom are far greater than our own. In this message, Elder Mills reminds us that instead of trying to make God’s plans fit ours, we must learn to trust Him, submit to His will, and allow Him to work in our lives. Drawing from Isaiah 55:8–13, she encourages us to seek God, nourish our souls through His Word and salvation, and remain obedient as He leads us forward.
