Sydney Sweeney, Sports Betting & When Gambling Goes Too Far

This week, the sisters have a lot to talk about. In What’s the Buzz, they catch up on some heartbreaking celebrity news, celebrate a few happy announcements, and talk about Sydney Sweeney’s very provocative new sports-betting campaign. Then, in Let’s Jump In, the conversation gets more serious. The Sydney Sweeney ad opens the door to a bigger discussion about the explosion of online sports betting, especially among young men. How much is too much? Does constant access make gambling more dangerous? And are we doing enough to teach our kids about the risks of something that can now be accessed instantly from a phone? The sisters share their own experiences talking to their kids about gambling, addiction and setting limits. And finally, What’s For Dinner brings things back to earth with Lynne’s ridiculously easy Honey Chicken—a 15-minute dinner that requires just a few basic ingredients. Lynne’s Honey ChickenIngredients Chicken breasts, diced Soy sauce Honey Cooked riceDirectionsPan-cook the diced chicken until cooked through. In a small measuring cup, mix equal parts soy sauce and honey. Pour the mixture over the hot chicken and let it bubble until it creates a delicious sweet-and-salty sauce. Serve over cooked rice. Want to dress it up? Add vegetables, fresh ginger, broccoli, a side salad, or a little cayenne or crushed red pepper for some heat. Lynne says the whole thing can come together in about 15 minutes. A little celebrity buzz, a serious conversation about online gambling, and an easy dinner for a busy night. That’s this week’s Three Lil Fishes.
