Leonard Albert Kravitz, known professionally as Lenny Kravitz, was born on May 26, 1964, in New York City. The only child of actress Roxie Roker, famous for her role in the sitcom "The Jeffersons," and television news producer Sy Kravitz, Lenny grew up in a world surrounded by creativity and the entertainment industry.
