    A series of brutal sexual assaults occurred to sex workers who were brought to Wright County in the 1990s.  Along with the homicide of Wendy Bozeman that may link to homicide victims Martha Bacon and Victoria Morris.

    The Four Whose Death Connects

    Between April 1986 and September 1992, the nude strangled bodies of Willie May Harding and Lee Ann Blomquist were found in or near watery graves in Golden Valley. Armongene Mason and Susan Rheineck were found bound outside by county roads. These four cases most closely resemble Vicky’s murder to me.  In this episode of “Aren’t You the Girl?” I’ll be introducing and covering the unsolved tragic deaths of four women across Minnesota that may be connected.

    The Story of Victoria Morris

    In October of 1994, the body of 25 year old Victoria Morris was found in Wright County, Minnesota.  The second body to be found in Wright County within a year; and the tenth victim to be lumped into a group of women who were found violently murdered around the Twin Cities. Why didn't Victoria receive any media attention? In this episode of “Aren’t You the Girl?” I’ll be covering the life of Victoria Morris and the legacy her children continue on for her today.

    The Murder of Martha Bacon

    In October of 1993, the first body part of Martha Bacon was discovered in a rural area in Wright County, Minnesota.  She was victim number eight of sex workers who were targeted by a serial predator or killer in the Twin Cities. The difference with Martha’s case that finally sparked public outcries - she was the first victim to be dumped in Wright County.

    Murder of Victoria Morris and Crimes of Gregory Clepper

    One of Chicago’s Southside Strangler’s Gregory Clepper went on a murder spree from 1991 - 1996, possibly amounting to 40 victims.  Clepper lived in St. Paul for a time in the mid 1990’s; and had an obsession with sex workers in the area. One woman in particular was 1994 Wright County victim Victoria Morris.  Was he actually responsible for all of the crimes he admitted to or was he lying so his victim list could be higher and gain more notoriety?

    Murder of Holly Spangler and Crimes of Donald Blom

    Donald Blom was released back into society for the final time in the early 1990’s. A string of sexual assaults on young women occur in suburban parks. Holly Spangler was then found murdered after being assaulted in a park. Could Donald be connected to this array of crime?

    Murder of Wilma Johnson and Crimes of Donald Blom

    Katie Poirier is the only confirmed murder under Donald Blom’s criminal history. Investigators tried to get confessions for other cases he may be connected to but he refused to talk every time.  Donald however connected himself to one case decades before Katie’s case exposed him to Minnesota - the case of Wilma Johnson.

    The Abduction and Homicide of Katie Poirier

    In May of 1999, 19 year old Katie Poirier went missing from a Moose Lake convenience store where she was working alone as a night clerk. A grainy black and white surveillance video captures a man with his arm at the back of Katie’s neck as he forces her out of the store. What would unfold within the next few months would shock and disgust Minnesota along with the nation.
