    Episode 22 | Joe Mandia

Joe has been an animator professionally since the Ninties… which is a long career and has gone through lots of technological changes while keeping his artistic touch at the core. We’ve collaborated on many projects over the years, and I’m stoked to bring his insight on life, education, and career to the podcast as someone who’s lived in LA and moved back to a smaller town while still working on big budget projects like SpongeBob Squarepants remotely. Episode 20 | Marc-Anthony Polizzi

We kick off Season 4 with a found object sculptor that’s been a friend of mine for about a decade. Hailing from Utica, NY, he has spent time around the United States learning and working before heading home where he has a shop most people would be jealous of. He does a variety of work from small sculptures you can have in your home to large installations at museums which can never be moved or replicated again. We discuss some really interesting topics beyond just creating art, but also mental health and how creatives can work toward a better future for themselves. https://www.instagram.com/mapolizzi/ This is a public episode. Devin is one of those people who will make you laugh without even trying. He’s also an incredibly genuine human that’s trying to help build a better community around him. After spending more than a decade in LA as a comedy writer, he & his family decided to move back to Utica (where he’s originally from) and start a non-profit. The Uptown Theater for Creative Arts was born, and has slowly been renovating a theater & bringing comedy classes to the area. We discuss growing up in Utica, cutting his teeth in comedy, the big decision to move to LA, and more!! This is a public episode.
