I dont wanna graduate ft Cosign Black

Welcome to Episode 58 of The Worst Friends Podcast 🎙️🔥 In this powerful and emotional episode, we sit down with rising star rapper Cosign Black as he takes us through his journey into music from his earliest days in 2016 to becoming one of the most promising voices in the scene today. Cosign Black reflects on moving into high school in 2018, where his love for battle rap began to grow. While studying in Kakamega, he shares a hilarious story of how he once convinced fellow students that “Bodak Yellow” by Cardi B was actually his song 😅. After finishing high school during the peak of the Genge Tone era, studio sessions became experimental and exciting, with everyone trying their luck as different groups emerged. Through those sessions, Cosign slowly discovered his true voice as a rapper. He walks us through his early releases, starting with his first solo project “Diana”, followed by multiple singles and an EP that would later change his life. That EP landed him a spot in a singing competition on StarTimes TV, where he performed one of the songs a moment that caused his music to skyrocket. Inspired but uncertain about the future, Cosign Black decided to drop his first-ever album, “I Don’t Want To Graduate.” He breaks down the inspiration behind the album, explaining how fear of the unknown shaped its theme, while still embracing the courage to face the next phase of life. He also dives deep into the creative process, sharing how each song came together. He reminisces on the album launch a milestone moment where he met some of Kenya’s greatest rappers including Khaligraph Jones, King Kaka, KOB, and Steph Kapella, who gave him genuine reactions that later gained thousands of views online. However, the celebrations were short-lived. Just three days after the album launch, Cosign’s father was hospitalized, and ten days later he tragically lost his dad. He opens up about the grief, stepping away from the internet, and how loss forced him to “graduate” into a new phase of life. After taking time to heal, he shares how he made his return with a freestyle and what fans can expect from his future projects. Later in the episode, our co-host Viterlis shares his holiday experience, including a chilling New Year’s Eve moment where he almost lost his phone 📱😬, along with his New Year’s resolutions. We wrap things up with our music and movie recommendations of the day, making this episode a full mix of inspiration, humor, honesty, and culture. 🎧 Tap in, like, comment, and subscribe for more real conversations.

Sikujua Alicia keys ikiblow up ! Ft 4 Mr frank white

Welcome to Episode 56 of The Worst Friends Podcast featuring the incredibly talented 4Mr Frank White, a bold voice in Kenyan hip hop whose journey from the underground to the mainstream is nothing short of inspiring. In this episode, Mr Frank White breaks down his music journey, the origin of his stage name, and his creative process in the studio. He takes us back to the exact moment everything changed when his song “Alicia Keys” unexpectedly hit over 200,000 streams without him even realizing it at first. That sudden success came with intense pressure, and it pushed him to work even harder… leading to the birth of his first album, “Definition Ya A real One.” The streets received it well, officially marking his entry into the music game. He then dives into one of his most iconic projects, “Mziza Kwa Dimanga,” an album that became legendary not only for the music but also for its powerful album cover featuring the late Hon. Raila Odinga. Mr Frank White explains how Raila’s resilience, consistency, and fighting spirit deeply inspired him reflecting the same energy he carries in his music career despite facing different challenges. Next, he shares how his album “Taigwa Goma” changed everything, transitioning him from being labeled an underground rapper to a mainstream artist. Even before people heard the music, the album cover alone pulled in new audiences, proving just how powerful branding and visual presentation can be. We also get into his latest EP featuring Mwanaa, a project that pushed him out of his comfort zone. Since Mr Frank White usually records everything by himself, stepping into a collaborative studio session was a big creative shift one that challenged him to become more open, experimental, and intentional with his sound. He also reveals his unique approach to collaborations:He first creates the track, envisions the perfect artist to fit the vibe, sends it to them, and allows them to respond organically when ready ensuring authenticity, intention, and real creative chemistry in every collaboration. Towards the end, Mr Frank White opens up about why he proudly represents his hometown, 44 Kahawa West. He explains that for a long time, no artist had boldly come out to represent Kahawa West, and that’s exactly why he chose to carry it in all his music complete with his signature “K” ad-lib and area code shout-out. It’s more than branding for him it’s identity, pride, and purpose. To wrap it all up, Mr Frank White shares his future goals, his strong desire for more people to discover his work, and his determination to keep growing without losing the truth and resilience that define his sound. 🎙️ This episode is packed with: Real industry pressure after a breakout hit The power of album covers & branding Underground to mainstream transition Creative vulnerability through collaboration And staying true to your roots while chasing greatness If you’re an upcoming artist, producer, or true hip hop fan, this episode will definitely inspire you.
