Intuitive Productivity: Unlocking Your Inner Power with Diana Dorell

Welcome back to the Productive AF Newsletter & Podcast! If you’ve ever stared at your planner feeling blocked, overwhelmed, or just not yourself, we’ve got a conversation that’s sure to inspire you. In today’s episode, I get to dive deep into intuitive productivity with special guest Diana Dorell, a third-generation medicine woman, intuitive relationship counselor, and spiritual mentor. Be sure to watch the video version over on YouTube as Diana’s animated and charismatic personality is sure to charm you as much as it did me! Intuitive Productivity: What It Means and Why It Matters Intuitive productivity is all about using your natural energy in alignment with your tasks to produce high-quality results without fighting yourself. Diana and I discuss how this approach can make a significant difference, especially for high achievers who often find themselves burned out by rigid schedules and endless to-do lists. The conversation highlights the importance of slowing down internally to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in every part of life. The PRODUCE Method: A Guide to Intuitive Productivity Diana introduces her innovative PRODUCE method, an acronym that guides you through prioritizing tasks, reducing distractions, and operating within your prime energy window, just to name the first three. Real-Life Applications and Personal Insights I share with Diana my own personal journey from corporate burnout to finding my rhythm by creating a schedule that aligns with my energy peaks and valleys. Diana adds depth to the discussion by sharing practical tools like binaural beats meditations and essential oils, which can enhance focus and productivity. The Importance of Saying “No” One of the key challenges addressed in the conversation is the difficulty many women face in saying “no.” Diana encourages practicing the art of saying “no” to maintain integrity and ensure that your yes really means something. I also remind us that “no” is a complete sentence, and sometimes we need to practice it to better prioritize our time and energy. Embracing Community and Generational Wisdom Diana’s work with her Goddess Circle Collective is a testament to the power of community and generational wisdom. By celebrating diverse cultural backgrounds and healing familial lineages, women in her community learn to integrate the best parts of their history while releasing what no longer serves them. Final Thoughts from Diana The episode wraps up with Diana sharing a personal story about how intuition played a pivotal role in her life. Her final takeaway for listeners is a powerful reminder: “Trust yourself, love yourself. Everything else follows that.” For those of you looking to connect further with Diana or explore her resources, she offers a free meditation on her website, thedancinggoddess.com, along with opportunities to join her Goddess Circle Collective. Discovering Mindfulness and Embodiment with Dr. Alice Rizzi

On the latest episode of the Productive AF Podcast, I welcome Dr. Alice Rizzi, a licensed psychologist and mindfulness coach, to discuss the transformative power of mindfulness and embodiment. As a specialist in cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness, Alice shares invaluable insights into breaking free from stress and fostering sustainable change. This conversation is a treasure trove of practical advice for anyone looking to enhance their mental well-being and productivity. Introduction to Mindfulness and Dr. Rizzi’s Journey Alice Rizzi is the heart behind Together Mindful, a practice focused on empowering women to live authentically and aligned with their values. She began her journey during the pandemic, starting her private practice in New York and providing telehealth services in Florida. The isolation of the lockdown period during the Covid-19 pandemic was a turning point where Alice realized the power of mindfulness, leading her to create a business centered around it. Understanding Mindfulness and Embodiment Alice describes mindfulness as a superpower that helps manage anxiety, depression, and improve attention. Her journey with mindfulness began in her undergraduate years, highlighting how it helped her manage her social anxiety and quirks. She defines embodiment as living in the present with awareness, acceptance, and curiosity. As a mindfulness and embodiment coach, she assists individuals in living according to their core values. Mindfulness in Daily Life Mindfulness isn’t limited to meditation; it can be integrated into daily life, as Alice explains. Whether it’s during a walk or doing mundane chores, mindfulness involves being present in the moment. For listeners hesitant to meditate due to restlessness, she offers relatable advice: start with small, mindful practices like paying attention to each moment through your senses. Navigating Transitions with Mindfulness Life transitions such as perimenopause and neurodivergence can be overwhelming. alice and I discuss how mindfulness can decrease reactivity, helping individuals pause and choose responses aligned with their values. This practice fosters patience and resilience, crucial for navigating life’s ups and downs. Embracing Core Values Identifying core values is foundational for personal change, as both Alice and I shared. We discuss how a misalignment with these values can lead to stress and burnout. Alice introduces a core values assessment and encourages individuals to live in alignment with what matters most to them. This awareness facilitates intentional decision-making and enhances overall well-being. Overcoming Overwhelm with Micro Actions For those feeling paralyzed by overwhelm, Alice introduces her “Get It Done Week” sprint. This initiative encourages participants to tackle pending tasks with psychology-informed strategies. By addressing underlying fears and taking small, actionable steps, individuals can overcome obstacles and make steady progress toward their goals. The Power of Community Community is central to Alice’s work, offering a supportive space for growth. She highlights the importance of being surrounded by like-minded individuals who inspire growth and success. For women embracing their multi-passionate nature, community provides a nurturing environment to explore diverse interests and rise together. Final Thoughts & Resources In conclusion, Alice Rizzi’s message is one of empowerment and self-trust. She reminds listeners that they are enough, encouraging them to embrace their journeys with compassion. For those seeking to deepen their mindfulness practice or uncover their core values, Alice’s resources, including her Mindful Mavens community, offer invaluable support. To connect with Alice and access her resources, visit her at www.dralicerizzi.com, Together Mindful or her YouTube channel. To view and download the free Reflection Series I mention in the podcast, please follow this link: If I Were Starting Again Reflection Series, Feb 5-28, a free event featuring 17 business owners as they reflect on what they’d do differently. I also recently recorded an episode on Ayla's podcast "Not That Kind of CEO" where we dig into what happens when mompreneurs try to operate like high-level executives without the support systems those roles actually have. We talk about the physical cost of pushing through stress, why boundaries feel selfish, and how to redesign your systems so you're not constantly falling apart. If this resonates, give it a listen. And if you’re wondering how I record and edit my podcasts and longform videos, here’s my secret: Descript. Designing a New Path: How Canva Verified Expert Melissa LeMay Turned a Side Hustle into a Full Time Business

TL;DR: If you’ve ever wondered how to turn creativity into cash—or felt overwhelmed by the tech side of content creation—this episode is for you. Canva Verified Expert Mélissa LeMay shares her journey from corporate burnout to creative entrepreneur, plus actionable tips to help you work smarter (not harder) with Canva. 🎙️ Episode Highlights In this episode: * How a single “no” at work sparked Mélissa’s leap into entrepreneurship * The real story behind becoming a Canva Verified Expert (hint: it’s about more than pretty graphics) * Practical strategies for using Canva to build your brand and your confidence * Why brand kits and folders are every creator’s secret weapon * How to stand out in a “saturated” market by serving your niche * The power of supportive communities (and where to find them) * What Canva Pro unlocks for your business—and when it’s worth it * A behind-the-scenes look at the Canva Template Collective From Corporate Boundaries to Creative Freedom When Mélissa LeMay was denied time off for her son’s school event, she realized her 9-to-5 wasn’t working for her life anymore. She took the leap, seeking a career that offered both flexibility and fulfillment. Like many of us, Mélissa started as a virtual assistant—until her knack for design (and love of Canva) opened a new door. Building a Business with Canva What began as a side hustle—helping others with Canva projects—quickly grew into Graphic Maven, Mélissa’s full-time business. Her work didn’t just make things look pretty; it helped entrepreneurs turn creativity into real income. In 2018, Mélissa became a Canva Certified Creative (now Canva Verified Expert), joining a select group shaping Canva’s future features and educating the next wave of creators. Pro Tips for Canva Newbies (and the Canva-Curious) Mélissa’s advice for beginners? Start simple. * Minimalism wins: Don’t overcomplicate your designs. * Templates are your friend: They save time and keep your brand consistent. * Brand kits = game changer: Set up your colors and fonts once to streamline every project. * Folders keep you sane: Organize your assets so you never lose that perfect graphic again. * Find your people: Supportive communities make learning (and growing) so much easier. Is Canva Pro Worth It? While the free version of Canva is powerful, Mélissa shares how Canva Pro can supercharge your workflow—think background removal, more elements, and advanced brand kit features. For side-hustlers and business owners, it’s often a smart investment. Standing Out in a Crowded Market Worried there’s too much competition? Mélissa busts the myth of “saturation.” The secret is quality, not quantity—and focusing on the unique needs of your audience. That’s how she’s built a thriving membership and community through the Canva Template Collective. Why Community Matters Mélissa’s Canva Template Collective isn’t just about templates—it’s about ongoing support, feedback, and the kind of creative “bestie” energy that helps entrepreneurs thrive. (You’ll hear why community is at the heart of every successful business!) 💡 My Takeaway as Host As someone who only discovered Canva in the past couple of years, I can vouch for the power of starting messy and learning as you go. My biggest “aha”? You don’t need to be a designer to build a brand you’re proud of—you just need the right tools, a little support, and the courage to show up imperfectly. 📚 Ready to Build Your Canva Confidence? If you’re feeling inspired by Mélissa’s journey but still a little unsure about where to start, I’ve got you! I created the Canva Confidence ebook for humans just like us—those who want to design with less stress, more joy, and zero shame. This guide is packed with my favorite shortcuts, mindset shifts, and step-by-step tips to help you create standout visuals (even if you don’t think of yourself as “creative”). 4. Reflection Before 2026 Planning: Who You're Becoming in Your Second Act

Reflection Before 2026 Planning: Who You're Becoming in Your Second Act

The Year Everything Changed (And Why That Matters Before 2026) At the start of 2025, I was living a double life. On the surface, I had it all figured out. Successful corporate career. Stable paycheck. The kind of resume that looks impressive on LinkedIn. But underneath? I was exhausted, insecure, and wrapped so tightly in other people’s expectations that I’d lost sight of who I actually was. My third marriage had been separated for several years. I felt like a failure. And I was trying to build a business on nights and weekends while working a full-time job that was draining every ounce of my energy. Then something shifted. My husband and I started talking again. Really talking. For the first time in 5+ years, we actually listened to each other. We had worked on ourselves individually. We learned how to communicate in ways that actually worked. And we realized something that seemed impossible: we wanted the same things. We shared the same values. We could actually make this work. That reconciliation was the catalyst for everything. It clarified what was actually important to me. It shifted my priorities in a way that no goal-setting exercise ever could. And it gave me permission to make the biggest decision of my life: I quit my corporate career. Not because I failed. Not because I gave up. But because I finally understood that I couldn’t build the life I wanted while living someone else’s schedule. I couldn’t become the person I was meant to be while trying to be the person my employer needed me to be. So I became a full-time homemaker and entrepreneur. And everything changed. Who I Was vs. Who I’m Becoming At the start of 2025, most of my identity was wrapped up in my corporate title and my role as a mother. I was insecure. I was unhealthy. I was overweight. And I carried the weight of three failed marriages like a scarlet letter. Today? I’m confident. I’m happy. I’m a wife, a mother, and an entrepreneur building something that’s entirely mine. But here’s the thing: that transformation didn’t happen because I made a New Year’s resolution or found the perfect productivity system. It happened because I got honest about what was actually working in my life and what wasn’t. And that’s why reflection matters so much before you jump into 2026 planning. Most of us skip the reflection part. We’re so eager to move forward, to set new goals, to become “new” versions of ourselves, that we forget to ask: What actually worked this year? What did I learn? Who did I become? If you do that, you’ll be building your 2026 on a foundation that might not even fit who you are anymore. The Consistency Pattern That Changed Everything In 2025, I noticed something powerful: my health is directly connected to my consistency. When I followed the healthy habits my medical team recommended—consistently—my health markers improved. Everything got easier. My energy increased. My mood stabilized. My ability to execute on my other goals became effortless. But the moment I got complacent? The moment I stopped being consistent? I backslid. Fast. That taught me something crucial: my health has to be my #1 priority now. Not my business. Not my goals. Not my productivity. My health. Because when I take consistently good care of myself, executing on everything else becomes so much easier. This is what we talk about in this week’s post, “Consistency Without Shame: Review 2025 Like a Kind Boss.” It’s not about being perfect. It’s not about doing everything every day. It’s about noticing the patterns—where you showed up, where you fell off, what that reveals about your actual priorities. And then making small adjustments, not total overhauls. The Small Wins That Prove You’re Capable I almost overlooked this one, but I’m so proud of it: I fully embraced AI as an amplification and productivity tool. That might not sound like a big deal. But for someone who’s 50+ and worried about being “too old” to learn new things? It was huge. It proved to me that I’m not stuck. I’m not limited by my age or my background. I can learn. I can grow. I can do more than I previously thought possible. That’s the kind of small win that compounds into big changes. Not the Instagram-worthy achievements. The quiet ones. The ones that build your confidence and prove to yourself that you’re capable of more than you believed. What’s Coming This Week This next week, we’re diving into clarity. Real clarity. Not the fluffy “find your passion” kind, but the practical, honest kind: What actually worked for you in 2025? What can you build on? And then we’re celebrating Real AF Wins—and we want to hear yours. We’re inviting our community to share one win from 2025 that they almost overlooked. Because progress over perfection means celebrating the small stuff. Your Turn Before you dive into 2026 planning, I want to ask you: Who were you at the start of 2025? Who are you now? What’s one thing you’re releasing that no longer serves you? Drop your reflection in the comments, or reply to the email newsletter. Share your story. Let’s celebrate what you’ve become this year—because you deserve to see how far you’ve come. And if you haven’t grabbed the free Miracle Month Planner yet, now’s the time. It’s designed to help you turn this reflection into action, with clarity and ease. What are you releasing in 2026? What are you becoming? Let’s talk about it. Why Every Creator Needs a "Meet the Creator" Series (And How Mine Hit Every Content Pillar)

TL;DR: Discover why every creator needs a “Meet the Creator” series, how mine mapped to all 7 Productive AF pillars, and actionable prompts to help your own audience feel seen and supported. Welcome back to Productive AF! Ever feel like your content is falling flat, or your audience just isn’t getting the magic behind your offers? You’re not alone. That’s exactly why I created the “Meet the Creator” video series—and why I’m breaking down exactly how Episodes 1–5 (aired 11/3–11/7, full video featured in Edition 12) mapped to every one of my brand’s core content pillars. If you’re a creator or entrepreneur struggling to connect with an audience or customer base, this is your blueprint. Clarity in Action Clarity isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the foundation of everything I create. In this series, I got radically honest about my “why” and the messiness behind my mission. I walked you through the real journey: from feeling overwhelmed and scattered to finding my unique rhythm and purpose. Every episode was designed to demystify my process, spotlight my values, and show exactly how I help humans like you and me move from chaos to clarity. No jargon, no perfection—just actionable steps and transparent storytelling so you can see yourself in the journey. Authentic Productivity As I often say, productivity isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing what matters (and letting the rest go). I stripped away the Instagram gloss and shared the routines, the pivots, and the missteps—because that’s where real growth happens. You saw my actual systems, the tools I use, and the moments when things fell apart (and how I reset). I wanted you to know that authentic productivity means embracing your strengths, finding what works for your brain, and giving yourself permission to iterate. Progress over perfection, always—because that’s how you build momentum that lasts. What you also saw in the videos was a no-glam me. Just my real hair texture, minimal makeup, sitting at my real desk. People connect with the real you, not an AI-generated or highly filtered version of you. You don’t need a fancy set up - just your real self talking to your phone camera. The focus should be on your message, not perfection. Empowered Mindset Mindset isn’t just a module in my courses or a chapter in an e-book—it’s woven into everything I do. Throughout the series, I spoke candidly about the doubts, the setbacks, and the self-talk that tried to hold me back. But I also showed how I reframed those moments, practiced self-compassion, and chose to keep going—even (especially!) when it was messy. My hope is that you saw not just my own resilience, but the practical ways you can build yours, too. Empowerment, to me, means owning your story, celebrating your lived experience, and believing that you are worthy of clarity, consistency, and calm. Consistency with Ease Forget hustle culture—consistency can feel light, flexible, and even joyful. In these episodes, I took you behind the scenes of my Miracle Month Planner and daily routines, showing how I build habits that work for real life (not just for Instagram). I emphasized that consistency isn’t about rigid schedules or all-or-nothing thinking. It’s about creating gentle, sustainable rhythms that support you—especially on the hard days. My goal was to prove that with the right tools and a little self-kindness, you can show up for yourself (and your goals) with way less stress and way more ease. Wellness & Self-Care Another thing you will often hear be say is “you can’t pour from an empty cup.” Throughout the series, I opened up about the routines and rituals that help me recharge—especially as a woman navigating perimenopause, solo entrepreneurship, and all the life stuff in between. Whether it was my morning walks, non-negotiable rest days, or the little self-care “micro-wins” I celebrate (thanks to my Miracle Month Planner), I wanted you to see that productivity isn’t just about doing more. It’s about feeling good in your own skin, honoring your energy, and giving yourself permission to pause. Real AF Wins & Community One of the most powerful parts of this series? Hearing from YOU. Every DM, comment, and story you shared about your own pivots, routines, and messy progress became a highlight reel in itself. I spotlighted some of your wins during the series (with permission, of course!), because this community is built on celebrating each other—not just me. Your breakthroughs, your questions, your “aha!” moments—they’re what make Productive AF a movement, not just a brand. Tools, Templates & Resources You know I’m all about making things actionable. Every episode featured a peek into the actual tools and templates I use to keep my life and business running (and yes, sometimes barely held together—because #realAF). From the Miracle Month Planner to my daily checklists, habit trackers, and Notion dashboards, I wanted you to see that you don’t need fancy systems. You just need a few simple, neuro-friendly resources that actually work for the way your brain works. Missed the tools? Grab the Miracle Month Planner free [here] and get a taste of what’s possible. Takeaway If your audience isn’t connecting with your offers, try inviting them into your world. Pull back the curtain. Let them see the real you—your journey, your process, your pivots. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being real AF. Your Turn What’s one story, routine, or lesson you could share this week? Not sure what your pillars are? Hit reply—I’ll help you map them out (or tag me if you post about it!). What CEOs Do Differently in Economic Uncertainty—And How You Can Too

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: economic uncertainty. Whether it’s a government shutdown, inflation fears, or just that persistent “what’s happening now?” anxiety, these moments can trigger a fight-or-flight response. It’s tempting to freeze or hide until the storm passes. But here’s the reality: waiting it out isn’t a strategy. In my decade as an executive assistant supporting C-Suite leaders—especially CEOs—I witnessed firsthand how these high performers approach uncertainty. One thing always stood out:CEOs are wired differently. But here’s the good news: you don’t have to be a CEO to adopt a CEO mindset. CEOs Know When to Pivot—And So Can You While most people doom-scroll, CEOs activate their strategic thinking. The same skills used to grow a business, manage a household, and develop future leaders are exactly what will help you—and your community—navigate tough times. Five CEO Strategies for Navigating Economic Uncertainty 1. Audit Your Financial Foundation Treat your household like the business it is. Re-examine your budget. What subscriptions or services can you pause? Where can you redirect funds for the next 30, 60, or 90 days? Create a simple cash flow plan—just like a CEO would. 2. Diversify Your Income Streams Now is the moment to activate that side hustle idea or explore new revenue channels in your current business. Economic uncertainty doesn’t erase opportunity—it just shifts where it lives. Could you offer digital products, consulting, or a course? I’m currently exploring these options myself and will share my process along the way. 3. Build Your Community Safety Net CEOs know the power of networks. Start a resource-sharing group with local parents or like-minded folks. Trade services, buy from each other’s businesses, share homegrown veggies. When we lift each other, everyone rises. 4. Invest in Skills, Not More Stuff Downturns are when the most resilient entrepreneurs double down on learning. That course you’ve been eyeing? That skill that could boost your earning power? Now’s the time. Education pays dividends, and there are plenty of free/low-cost options (I share my favorites regularly). The key: just start. 5. Create Your Own Security Systems may fail us, but you won’t fail your family. Generational wealth is built, not handed down. Start small—put systems in place that create security in the areas you need most. This Is What Effective CEOs Do When things get shaky, CEOs get strategic: they assess, adapt, and act. Even in tough times, you’re not just protecting your family and community—you’re modeling resilience for your kids and peers. Uncertainty isn’t something to fear; it’s just another challenge to navigate. And this, too, shall pass. What’s one way you’re building resilience right now? Hit reply and let me know—I read every response, and I might spotlight you in an upcoming newsletter! I hope this empowers you and challenges you to reimagine how you design your life—even in uncertain times. From Overwhelmed to Productive AF: My Story & the Miracle Month Reset

Here’s what I wish someone had told me years ago: You can be smart, organized, and still feel completely overwhelmed. You can have an MBA, run a business, be a mom, and still feel like you’re always one step behind. If we haven’t met yet or it’s been a while, Hi, I’m Jenn—you may know me as ItsJennFast on all the socials, and I’m also the founder of Productive AF and Hungry AF. I’ve been everything from a pageant queen and model, to professional makeup artist, a franchise manager, a lead executive assistant in biotech, a mom to amazing daughters, and someone who’s lost over 30 pounds on a health journey. I’ve managed teams and businesses, and yes—been married three times. Through it all, I’ve learned that life is messy, but it’s also beautiful. Most recently, I suddenly walked away from my 30-year corporate career to go into retirement 20 years early. Or at least my version of it, which includes being a stay at home mom, finally focusing on my health and building a business of my own. If you’ve ever felt like you’re spinning plates and still dropping a few, you’re in the right place. Productive AF is for busy humans who want clarity, calm, and confidence—without the guilt or shame. Hungry AF is for foodies like me, who love to cook and to eat, but who need to eat healthy. Stick around, because I’m sharing all the real-life tools and stories that have helped me (and can help you) move from chaos to clarity, and to really start enjoying life. My Mission (and Why I Created Productive AF) Here’s the real reason I started Productive AF: I was tired of seeing smart, capable people—especially women—feel like we were failing at life, when really, the systems were failing us. I believe you deserve routines and tools that honor your unique brain, your real-life rhythms, and your actual priorities—not someone else’s highlight reel. My mission is to help you move from chaos to clarity, using neuro-aligned productivity systems that are compassionate, authentic, and actually doable. Our core values here? Clarity, consistency, authenticity, compassion, and empowerment. If you’re ready to create a life that feels grounded, focused, and free, you’re in the right place. You can thrive in your own rhythm—and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Why I Created the Miracle Month Planner So, why the Miracle Month Planner? Honestly, I created it because I was tired of buying every planner under the sun—only to abandon them after a week. Every system seemed to assume my life was neat and predictable, but let’s be real: it’s not. I needed something that worked for my beautifully complicated, sometimes chaotic reality. That’s why the Miracle Month Planner focuses on micro-wins, daily resets, and self-compassion. It’s not about perfection or streaks—it’s about progress, one tiny step at a time. It’s not even dated, because it’s not a to-do list or calendar. There are a million tools out there for that. Instead, it’s a mindset, it’s a reset, and it’s a way to start over in a more effective and doable way. I built this for busy humans who want to feel proud of their progress, not ashamed of their pace. If you need a reset that actually fits your life, this is for you. How to Use the Planner (and What to Expect) Let me show you exactly how I use the Miracle Month Planner. Every morning, I start with a quick “dream brain dump”—just five minutes to get all my thoughts and goals out of my head and onto paper. Then I set my top priorities for the day. There’s a simple daily success routine: * Morning visualization * Getting focused * Growing myself with a quick read or podcast * Taking one small action * Planning for fun and movement * Finding a moment of quiet * Noticing what I’m grateful for Each evening, I check off my habits on the routine tracker. Some days, I hit them all. Other days, just one or two. The point isn’t perfection—it’s that I keep coming back, and every tiny win builds momentum. Start wherever you are. Show up for yourself. That’s where the magic happens. I hope you’ll download this completely free planner for yourself, and please let me know what you think. I’ll link to it for you, or check the link in my bio. Real Talk—What I’ve Learned (and What’s Next) Here’s what I’ve learned after years of trying (and failing) to “get it together”: Real change doesn’t come from hustle, shame, or perfect routines. It comes from showing up, giving yourself grace, and celebrating every tiny win—especially on the days when life gets messy. If you’re tired of starting over or feeling like you’re always behind, I want you to know: you’re not alone. The Miracle Month Planner was made for people like us—humans who are ready to reset, to try again, and to find clarity in the chaos. If you’re ready for your own Miracle Month, I’d love to do this together. Download the planner, DM me your questions, or leave them in the comments, and let’s celebrate every single step—no matter how small.
