The Kori Leigh Show | Sobriety & Recovery | Addiction | Faith & Hope

Kori Hagel | Entrepreneur | Recovering Alcoholic | 9 Years Sober

Welcome to The Kori Leigh Show. I’m Kori — a recovering alcoholic, 9 years sober, a mom, a woman who has walked through addiction, divorce, grief, mental health battles, and the kind of darkness that either takes you out… or forges you. I know what rock bottom feels like. I know anxiety that grips your chest. I know the obsession to escape. I know what it’s like to burn your own life down and still wake up the next day. And I also know recovery. I know surrender. I know what happens when desperation meets God. Sobriety didn’t give me a perfect life, but it gave me a real one. One built on faith, spiritual discipline, personal responsibility, and the daily choice to suit up and show up, even when it’s uncomfortable. This podcast is for the person who’s done pretending. The ones who knows something has to change. The ones who is tired of reacting from emotion and wants to start responding from conviction. Here, we talk about: Recovery and sobriety without romanticizing the pain Faith without performance or bypassing Resilience, boundaries, and self-respect What it actually takes to weather the storm and come out rebuilt You’ll hear raw conversations, unhinged truths, hard-won lessons, and stories from people who have been to the depths and chose to rise anyway. God meets us in the mess. The storm passes. And who you become in the storm determines everything. If you’re willing to do the work — welcome. As we say in recovery: Find the similarities, not the differences. That’s how we heal. Follow Me on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/korileigh/

    56. When Your Hardest Chapters Become Someone Else’s Lifeline | Walling Up in the Storm (part 1)

Sometimes the hardest chapters of your life become the reason someone else keeps going. Is sharing your story on your heart? This is exactly how I have built a multiple 6-figure/year Business with story telling.  Download Here In this episode of the Kori Leigh Show, I share a moment that reminded me why I do this work, a stranger at a Christmas market who hugged me, cried, and told me the podcast helped save her life. It was a powerful reminder that when we’re willing to heal the hard parts of our story, they often become the very thing that serves others. What we talk about in this episode: The encounter that reminded me why sharing our stories matters Walking through addiction, abuse, and a past that statistically could have ended very differently Why I stepped away from the podcast in 2025 to cocoon and do deeper healing How storms and hard seasons can become opportunities to rebuild Why your “big story” may be exactly what someone else needs to hear Remembering that life moves in seasons and storms always pass   Connect with Me on Instagram  @korileigh | @korileigh.co    Here are some of the resources I wanted to share with you: Subscribe to The Sunday Table Why Your Story Isn't Making You Money Free Download When the Ground Shifts - Sunday Table Article Guarding Your Soul in a World That Drains You - Sunday Table Article If you enjoyed this episode please share with someone you love, leave a rating & review, and follow so you are notified when a new episode drops! 55. Stay the Course: Gratitude, Containment, & the Quantum Leap After Shedding Seasons

Is sharing your story on your heart? This is exactly how I have built a multiple 6-figure/year Business with story telling.  Download Here This episode of The Kori Leigh Show, is a check-in after (and in the midst) of a season that forced everything to slow down. At the end of 2025 my appendix ruptured, and the first two months of this year became a period of deep healing physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The quiet and low stimulation brought an unexpected sense of regulation and a deeper closeness to God. 2025 was a year of shedding: separation, learning to co-parent, becoming a newly single mom, and staying sober through it all. It wasn’t joyful, but I kept suiting up and showing up — meetings, therapy, working my business, being a mom, and doing the work even when I didn’t feel like it. Sometimes the seasons that strip everything away are the ones preparing us for the biggest leaps. What we cover: Healing and slowing down after surgery Lessons from a year of shedding and major life changes Staying sober and disciplined when joy isn’t present Practicing gratitude until it becomes genuine Why dark seasons often precede breakthroughs Using your story to serve others and build something meaningful   Connect with Me on Instagram  @korileigh | @korileigh.co  The Sunday Table Why Your Story Isn't Making You Money Free Download   If you enjoyed this episode please share with someone you love, leave a rating & review, and follow so you are notified when a new episode drops!
