#39 ~ Christmas Chaos, Blended Families and Choosing What Actually Matters

Christmas Chaos, Blended Families and Choosing What Actually Matters Hello beautiful listeners & Welcome! In this episode, I’m sharing a very real and timely conversation about navigating the holidays in a blended family. The beauty, the chaos, and everything in between. From a Manitoba snowstorm that changed our plans and reminded us to choose safety over pressure, to hosting about 25 people in our not so big home, this episode is grounded in real life, not perfection. I talk openly about how my husband and I handle Christmas as a couple, how we communicate and make decisions together, and the simple systems we’ve put in place to stay connected instead of overwhelmed. From our family "POTT- Luck" tradition, to gift exchanges that actually make sense, to taking breathers when the noise gets loud and the nervous system needs regulating, this is the Intuitive Marriage Method in action. I also share five simple ways I stay sane during the holidays, especially in a blended family:  * Deciding together as a couple before saying yes to anything. * Sharing the load instead of carrying it all alone. * Regulating the nervous system by stepping outside or taking a breather when things get loud. * Letting go of perfection and unrealistic expectations.  * Choosing moments of joy on purpose, even in the middle of the chaos. We also touch on allowing everyone to contribute, finding moments of fun and laughter, and choosing presence over perfection during the holidays. If you’re part of a blended family, hosting this season, or simply feeling overstimulated and stretched thin, this episode is a reminder that you’re not alone and that it’s okay to do the holidays your way. Thank you so much for being here and for walking this journey with me. #38 ~ A Conversation with Tony Basson : My 93 yr old Dad - Stories, Laughter & Lessons

Hello Beautiful Listeners,  In this deeply personal episode, I sit down with my 93 year old dad  ~ Tony Basson for an intimate conversation reflecting on a life well lived. We take a gentle walk through his early years growing up in England, his time serving in the Royal Navy, his love story and long marriage, the joys and lessons of fatherhood, and the courageous decision to move our family to Canada. We had a few laughs and silly moments along the way, which is very typical of my dad. The audio is not the best, but it was important for me to get his words recorded. While we did not cover every chapter of his life in detail, this episode offers a beautiful overview filled with stories, reflections, humor, and wisdom passed down through generations. This was such a special episode for me to do and to share with you. It is a reminder of the importance of legacy, family, love, and taking the time to listen to the stories that shape us. Whether you are reflecting on your own parents, your children, or the life you are building, I invite you to slow down and appreciate the moments that truly matter. #37 ~ Six Months Off the Mic: What I Learned and Why I Returned

After a six month pause filled with sunsets, grandkids, karaoke nights with Barry, and even a surprising website hack, I am back behind the mic with a renewed sense of purpose and a much clearer direction. In this heart centered comeback episode, I share where I have been, what life has taught me lately, and where The Intuitive Marriage Method is heading next. This episode is not a deep teaching. It is a warm welcome, a life update, and an honest look at the new season I am stepping into as a marriage mentor. From rebuilding after a digital mess to reconnecting with my own intuition, I open the door and invite you into the next chapter of this journey. A season of rest, joy, sunsets, stillness, and clarity. A reminder that taking a break is sometimes exactly what your soul needs. The website hack that turned into a spiritual reset How a digital disaster pushed me to wipe the slate clean and return to what matters most. My voice. My intuition. My message. The mentoring I have been doing behind the scenes Including my twelve week program with my business coach and client Rose, who has become like a daughter to me through this work. And the intuitive mentoring I continue to do with young adults. A stronger calling toward marriage mentorship The pull into couples work, communication, intuition, and the spiritual heart of partnership. This is where my soul lights up and where I feel called to serve more deeply. The Marriage Wheel and a possible live workshop My new free tool that reflects the twelve foundations of an intuitive marriage. I share why I created it and ask listeners if they would attend a ninety minute workshop where we walk through it together. Why I chose to return now What I missed, what I learned through the quiet, and why this work continues to call me forward. Being in service to relationships and to people ready to grow is part of my purpose. A special announcement for next week My dad is joining me on the podcast. His marriage to my mom shaped my earliest understanding of love and partnership, and I cannot wait to share his voice and his wisdom with you. Thank you for being here. Thank you for your patience, your presence, and your heart. I am stepping into this next season with grounded clarity, fresh intention, and a deeper connection to my intuitive purpose. Join me next week for a special and meaningful conversation with my dad. Until then, take a breath, trust your intuition, and remember that love is always worth the effort. #34 ~ 6 Years of Marriage: 1 Year of Podcasting & a Special Self-Love Gift for You

Hello Beautiful Souls, Today’s episode is a heartfelt celebration of growth, gratitude, and connection. I’m marking two milestones: six incredible years of marriage and one full year of The Intuitive Marriage Podcast! What a journey it’s been. In this short and soulful episode, I share a few powerful lessons I’ve learned in marriage:     •    Flexibility in love keeps us growing together.     •    Fun is essential—laughter truly fuels connection.     •    Perspective is power—how we see our partner changes everything. I also take a moment to honor my amazing husband. I’m grateful for him every single day, and I make sure he knows it. From this past year of podcasting, here’s what I’ve discovered:     •    Imperfect action is powerful—just start & don’t stress when you don’t have time to add your intro and outro music :-p     •    Connection is everything—this podcast has brought us together.     •    You’re never alone—sharing our stories bridges the gap between us. To celebrate, I have two beautiful gifts for you:     1.    A FREE 14-Day Self-Love Challenge launching for Mother’s Day!      2.    My brand-new Facebook community group—a safe space for growth, love, and real connection. PLUS: I’m still offering a few free 60-minute 1:1 intuitive sessions—but they’re very limited, so reach out if your heart is nudging you. Thank you for being here. Whether you’ve been listening since day one or just found your way to this space, I’m honoured to walk this path with you. #33 ~ Unspoken Expectations: How Lack of Communication Silently Kills Your Marriage

Unspoken Expectations: How Lack of Communication Silently Kills Your Marriage Hello, Beautiful Souls. It’s Amanda here, your intuitive empath, certified life coach, and marriage mentor. In this episode, we’re tackling one of the sneakiest (and most common) relationship killers: unspoken expectations. Let’s be real—your spouse can’t read your mind, and yet so many of us expect them to just know what we need. That’s when silent resentment creeps in and starts quietly chipping away at your connection. In this episode, I’m getting real about why unspoken expectations are so damaging and how a lack of communication can slowly suffocate your marriage. But don’t worry—I’m also sharing how to turn it all around with compassion, clarity, and connection. I’ll walk you through three powerful shifts you can make today: Drop the Mind-Reading Game Stop hoping your partner will just know what you need. Speak it out loud with love. Clear is kind—vague is frustrating. The “Ask, Don’t Assume” Rule Before jumping to conclusions, ask yourself—Did I actually say this out loud? Replace assumption with honest, open-hearted questions.Schedule Deep, Meaningful Conversations Set aside 20 minutes each week to connect without distractions. No kids, no phones—just you two checking in emotionally and spiritually. These small shifts can make a huge difference in how connected, supported, and seen you both feel in your marriage. Takeaway: A little communication goes a long way. Let’s stop guessing and start growing—together. If you loved this episode, share it with your partner or a friend who needs to hear it. And don’t forget to take my free “How Intuitive Is Your Marriage?” quiz at soulspottintuitive.com/quiz it’s a fun and eye-opening way to discover where your relationship shines and where it could use a little extra love. I am still offering free 60 mins Intuitive Sessions for more insight into your quiz results.  Until next time—keep loving, keep growing, and always trust your intuition. #32 ~ Blended with Love: Thriving in your Second Marriage

Hello, Beautiful Souls! In today’s heartfelt episode, I’m sharing my personal journey of love, healing, and creating a thriving second marriage. Whether you’re navigating a blended family, seeking a fresh start, or looking to cultivate more peace in your relationship, this episode is for you. In this episode, I discuss: My love story and how my husband and I built a peaceful, fun, and harmonious life together.Key lessons I’ve learned from past relationships.Practical tips for cultivating peace, connection, and joy in your second marriage.Grab a cozy drink and settle in! Our Story My husband and I met on January 15, 2014, bringing past experiences and lessons from previous marriages. Over time, we created a strong foundation of love, fun, and family. From karaoke date nights to cabin getaways, we intentionally built a sanctuary of joy and connection. 7 Tips for Creating Peace in a Second Marriage: Heal Before You Build – I took time to heal from my past, and I encourage you to do the same. Therapy, journaling, or open conversations can help.Embrace Your Differences – My husband and I balance each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Instead of seeing differences as challenges, view them as opportunities to grow.Prioritize Peace Over Perfection – A second marriage isn’t about perfection; it’s about creating joy and harmony.Make Time for Connection – For us, date nights are a must. Whether it’s karaoke or a quiet evening at the cabin, prioritizing time together strengthens our bond.Blend with Love – Blending families takes patience and understanding. I’ve learned that openness and new traditions help create unity.Communicate with Compassion – I make it a priority to share my thoughts with kindness and encourage you to do the same.Lean Into Intuition – I trust my inner wisdom to navigate challenges, and I encourage you to listen to your intuition in your relationship. Why Peace Matters In my first marriage, I experienced chaos and conflict. My second marriage gave me the opportunity to create something different. Peace doesn’t mean the absence of challenges; it means committing to navigating them with love and understanding. ~ A peaceful marriage starts with peaceful individuals. I focus on self-care, mindfulness, and intuition so I can bring my best self to my marriage, and I encourage you to do the same ~  Amanda ox Final Thoughts: A thriving second marriage is intentional and built with love, trust, and connection.Let go of past pain, embrace the present, and create a future that feels like home.Send us a text Support the show Stay in-love & Stay Intuitive Amanda Pott Intuitive Guide & Marriage Mentor CHC CLC Subscribe, leave a review, and share your ideas for keeping your relationship vibrant, email us at amandapott@soulspottintuitive.com, love to hear from you!
