“Tithe or Go to Hell!” — Is This Actually Biblical?

Send us Fan Mail Can a Christian actually go to hell for not paying tithes? Pastor David E. Taylor has made the striking claim that failing to tithe can have eternal consequences. But is that what the Bible actually teaches? In this episode, I examine this claim directly against Scripture. We look at what tithing meant under the Old Testament law, Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek, Malachi 3:10, Jesus' comments about tithing, and what the New Testament teaches Christians about giving. Most importantly, we tackle the bigger theological question: What actually saves a person? If salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, where does giving money fit? Is the traditional 10% tithe a commandment for Christians under the New Covenant? Can refusing to tithe be considered sin? And can someone's financial giving determine whether they enter heaven or hell? This isn't an argument against generosity. Christians are repeatedly called to give generously, care for the poor, support ministry, and use their resources faithfully. The question is whether Scripture supports turning those commands into: “Tithe—or go to hell.” That's a very serious claim. And serious theological claims deserve to be tested against the Bible. Watch the full episode, examine the passages for yourself, and tell me what you think: Is tithing mandatory for Christians—and can not tithing actually jeopardize someone's salvation? #Tithing #DavidETaylor #Christianity #Bible #Tithe #Salvation #ChristianYouTube #BiblicalTruth #Church #Jesus #Gospel Support the show

Christian Nationalism: Biblical Truth or Political Ideology? With Mark Driscoll

Send us Fan Mail Is Christian Nationalism actually rooted in Scripture—or are Christians taking legitimate biblical ideas about nations, borders, culture, and government and turning them into a modern political ideology? In this episode, I critically examine the case for Christian Nationalism and engage with arguments made by Mark Driscoll, including his provocative claim that “globalism is demonic.” But rather than beginning with Left vs. Right politics, I go directly to the Bible. What does Scripture actually say about nations, borders, government, immigration, sovereignty, patriotism, and globalism? Did God create nations as part of His intended order? Does the existence of nations automatically justify nationalism? And where should a Christian's loyalty to country end and loyalty to the Kingdom of God begin? I also wrestle with an important distinction: you can reject globalism without embracing Christian Nationalism. Likewise, believing that nations have a legitimate role doesn't necessarily mean Christianity should become an instrument of national political identity. This episode isn't an attack on patriotism or love of country. It's an attempt to ask a harder question: Are we deriving our politics from Scripture—or reading our politics back into Scripture? Watch the full episode and tell me where you land. Is Christian Nationalism biblical truth, political ideology—or some mixture of both? #ChristianNationalism #Christianity #MarkDriscoll #Bible #Nationalism #Globalism #ChristianPolitics #FaithAndPolitics #BiblicalWorldview #Politics Support the show

Is Capitalism Unfair? | Responding to Richard Wolff on Monopoly Capitalism

Send us Fan Mail Is capitalism fundamentally unfair—or are some of the strongest criticisms of capitalism actually criticisms of monopoly, regulatory failure, and insufficient competition? In this episode, I examine arguments made by economist Richard Wolff about capitalism, monopoly power, inequality, workers, and the concentration of economic power. Rather than simply accepting the claim that these problems prove capitalism itself has failed, I ask a different set of questions: What happens when we distinguish competitive capitalism from monopoly capitalism? Do monopolies represent the natural endpoint of free markets—or a breakdown of competition? Does the existence of powerful corporations invalidate capitalism as an economic system? And would socialism actually solve these problems, or simply transfer economic power from corporations to the state? We also explore competition, innovation, consumer choice, wealth creation, regulation, market concentration, incentives, and economic mobility to test Wolff's critique against how markets actually function. This isn't about pretending capitalism is perfect. It isn't. The question is whether its imperfections justify replacing it—or whether competitive markets, strong institutions, and sensible antitrust enforcement offer a better solution. Capitalism may be unfair sometimes. But does that mean socialism is the answer? Watch the full episode and tell me where you agree—or disagree. Support the show
