Episode 27-The Version of You That Your Future Self Will Thank

Every decision you make today is a message to the man you'll be in ten or twenty years. In this season finale of The Ageless Alpha Podcast, Scott Meyers asks you to picture your future self 15 to 20 years from now and consider what he'll be thanking you for, and what he'll regret. Scott explains how small, consistent choices compound into outsized results in three areas. Physical compounding covers the training, nutrition and sleep that shape the body your future self will live in. Relationship compounding covers the steady investment that decides who will still be by your side. Character compounding covers the small moments of integrity that build trust and decide the man you become. He also draws on Bronnie Ware's research into the most common regrets of the dying, then looks back over the whole season: discipline, nutrition, dating, fatherhood, sleep, stress, muscle building, cardio, morning routines, social circles, ego, finances and communication. All of these lead to one goal, which is becoming an intentional, self-possessed Ageless Alpha. In this episode: Why every daily decision compounds, for better or worse The body, relationships and character your future self will inherit What the most common end-of-life regrets can teach you now A recap of the season's 27 episodes Your assignment: writing a letter to your future self Your challenge: Write a letter to your future self that names the specific commitments you're making today. Episode 24 - Build Wealth Like You Build Muscle

In this episode, Scott draws a direct line between the discipline that builds a strong physique and the discipline that builds lasting wealth. His core argument: the difference between men who are financially solid and those who aren't is rarely income — it's habits, decisions, and the relationship with money built over years. Key themes: Money is a mirror. Your bank account, savings, and debt reflect thousands of small decisions accumulated over time. Real obstacles exist, but for most people, the financial situation is the result of how deliberately — or not — those decisions were made. Change starts with an honest look at where you actually are. The discipline parallel. Wealth-building obeys the same laws as training: consistency over intensity (steady savers beat sporadic big moves), progressive overload (scale your savings faster than your lifestyle, and the gap is where wealth gets built), delayed gratification (every dollar spent can't compound; every dollar invested will), and recovery and patience (compounding is exponential — the early years feel slow, but staying the course is what pays off). The fundamentals that matter. Live below your means and pay yourself first, eliminate high-interest debt, build an emergency fund, invest consistently in broad, diversified, low-cost vehicles and leave it alone, and protect what you've built with insurance and basic estate planning. Financial identity and the long game. The final shift is from making reactive money decisions to becoming someone who takes his financial life seriously. Identity isn't declared — it's built through behavior, one consistent decision at a time, until investing instead of spending isn't a sacrifice; it's just who you are. The takeaway: Building wealth isn't glamorous or exciting — it's exactly like good training: unglamorous, consistent, patient, and over time, extraordinarily powerful. Start now, because time matters more than starting with the perfect amount. Next week's episode: ego — how unchecked ego quietly sabotages the things we work hardest to build. Alcohol and the Man Who Takes Himself Seriously

In Episode 20 of the Ageless Alpha Podcast, host Scott Meyers lays out the real, science-backed effects of alcohol on men’s health and performance. He breaks down how drinking can suppress testosterone, disrupt sleep, impair body composition, and blunt cognitive and emotional performance—especially for men over 35. With a clear, non-judgmental lens, the episode also explores the social pressures around drinking, the “social drinking trap,” and a practical framework for making Intentional, conscious choices about alcohol that align with personal goals. Aiming to inform rather than shame, this episode helps listeners decide how alcohol fits into a life of ongoing self-improvement and peak performance. Key takeaways: Alcohol can lower testosterone and increase estrogen conversion, with bigger effects for men past 35. Sleep quality, especially REM sleep, is often disrupted after drinking, hindering recovery and daytime performance. Alcohol provides calories and prioritizes toxin clearance, which can derail fat loss and muscle protein synthesis. Regular drinking can produce subtle but meaningful cognitive and mood impacts over time. The episode emphasizes conscious choice over abstinence and offers a self-audit framework to align drinking with personal goals.
