    You Don't Need a Platform to Share Jesus

    "I got nothing done today." In Week 5 of IRRESISTIBLE, Ruth shares how a day of interruptions taught her that sometimes we don't need a different schedule, we just need a different lens. She also shares how a verse in Romans 10 changed her heart: she was a self-described introvert studying environmental science, hoping for a career with no people, until she realised how much people matter to God. We take a fast journey through eight chapters of Acts. Jesus promised power from the Holy Spirit and said "you will be my witnesses" in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). The early church grew quickly in Jerusalem, but it was persecution that scattered them. And who scattered? Not the apostles. Acts 8:4 tells us it was the ordinary followers of Jesus, sharing the good news wherever they went. We look at how Jesus did it at the well in John 4, with a simple request for a drink that became an extraordinary conversation. We hear a real-life story from a guest about meeting another mum on a riverside walk, and why she builds margin into her life. And we give a simple framework: start with their story, share your story, then share His story, with gentleness and respect.     Jesus Closed Every Loophole With Five Words

    You must love one another." In Week 4 of IRRESISTIBLE, we look at how Jesus took 613 laws, boiled them down to two, and then closed every last loophole with five words: "As I have loved you." This message opens with four real-life stories of people who put themselves in danger for others, then goes back to the Bible to ask what Jesus actually commanded. Our speaker shares how easy it is to turn something started in the Spirit into a law (a booklet that said "daily" instead of "regularly"), and why law can control behaviour but can't produce love. We walk through the two lawyers (Matthew 22 and Luke 10), why "Who is my neighbour?" was an attempt to justify himself, and how the Good Samaritan closed the loophole. Then Jesus raises the bar in Matthew 5, tells us to leave our gift at the altar and reconcile first, and on the night before the cross kneels to wash His disciples' feet (John 13).     There Was An Elevator the Whole Time

    Hot cinnamon donuts, even with a numb face after a root canal: some things are just irresistible. In Week 3 of IRRESISTIBLE, we ask what makes a church irresistible. Is it the music, the building, the programs or the friendly people? Those are all good things, but none of them is the answer. An irresistible church is one where people encounter the reality of Jesus Christ, where grace is experienced, truth is proclaimed, love is demonstrated and burdens are lifted. We look at the first big crisis in the early church in Acts 15: some men arrived from Judea teaching that unless new believers were circumcised, they couldn't be saved. Paul and Barnabas saw the danger. If salvation required an extra requirement, the good news would become a burden. We walk through why grace is the foundation (Ephesians 2:8-9), why believing is enough (John 3:16), and why grace welcomes people but also transforms them (Titus 2:11, 2 Corinthians 5:17). Ps SImon shares a personal story: a youth rally at age 12, an older man's simple words ("it's not about rules, it's about relationship"), and the moment the weight lifted. And a honeymoon story about carrying two heavy suitcases up six floors, only to discover an elevator around the corner.     Why Rules Never Change People (And What Actually Does)

    "Just tell me what to do." We love a list: a checklist, a formula, five steps to success. In Week 2 of IRRESISTIBLE, Megan asks an honest question: is your walk with God powered by your own effort, or by the Holy Spirit? She shares a first-year teaching story that changed how she sees everyone, and why compliance was never going to be enough. We take a quick history lesson from Moses and the first Ten Commandments to the 613 laws, and why the list kept growing.     God Moved Out of the Temple. Why Are We Still Packing for It?

    Is it really okay to let go of the old? In Week 1 of IRRESISTIBLE, we start with something almost everyone struggles with: letting go. From a hot pink suit that will never fit again to a house full of "just in case" stuff, we hold on to things because of memories and attachment. That doesn't only happen in our cupboards. It happens in our faith too. For a long time God lived in a big house, the temple, full of good things given by God: the Ten Commandments, the sacrifices, the feasts, the priests. Over time those good things were turned into leverage and used to control people. Then Jesus announced a new way, and God moved into smaller buildings: you. We walk through Galatians 5, where Paul warns against going back under the yoke, and Hebrews 8, where the new covenant is described as better, with God's law written on our minds and hearts. So how do you decide what comes with you and what stays behind? Every follower of Jesus has a live-in Customs Officer, the Holy Spirit. Hold each belief and habit up against the teaching of Jesus, as the apostles worked it out. If it fits, it's granted a passport of entry. If not, it's access denied, and it's time to let it go.     I Filled the Cup Perfectly...Then Left It at Home

    I once filled a candy cup so perfectly — every gap packed, every corner used — that I was genuinely impressed with myself. Then I left it at home and went to the movies. Nobody ever got to eat it. That true story sits at the centre of this message: what's the point of being filled if nothing ever flows out? We unpack why chasing "the perfect you" through self-improvement culture is exhausting and ultimately unwinnable — and why God offers something different instead: a healed version of you, closer to who you were always meant to be.     What is Biblical Hope

    What is biblical hope, really? It's not wishful thinking — hoping for a parking spot or hoping a meeting goes well. Ever stood in a season that felt completely dead — a dream gone quiet, a relationship that used to have life in it, a prayer you've stopped expecting an answer to? In Ezekiel 37, God takes the prophet into a valley full of very dry bones and asks him one pointed question: "Can these bones live?" In this standalone message, we unpack why hope is not wishful thinking — it's a spiritual decision we can make every day, regardless of our circumstances.     Why You Can't See Your Own Blind Spots | Even When You're Looking

    Ever had spinach in your teeth for hours and nobody said anything? That's what a blind spot feels like — and it's not just about your teeth. There are things about your character, your reactions, and your relationships that you genuinely cannot see, no matter how hard you look, simply because of where you're sitting. In this message, Ruth closes out our 4-week Mirror, Mirror series by turning from the private practices we've explored (journaling, silence, fasting) to the one thing none of them can do alone: show you what only someone else can see.
