    Full Table, Empty Heart.

Welcome & Bienvenidos. This is Cuídate a community and podcast with Josefina H. Sanders, an artist, writer, and mindful art teacher. Here on the podcast, we create space where vulnerability meets strength through storytelling, community, creativity, and care. Make Yourself At Home, (or as my mom says) A La Orden. In this episode, I share the quiet moment, last Thanksgiving when I realized I was grieving something still standing, and losing myself trying to save someone else. This is for the ones sitting at a holiday table with a full plate but an empty heart. For the ones holding their breath. For the ones waking up slowly. Topics: • Silent breaking points & numbness • Mom guilt & self-blame • Choosing yourself without apology • Leaving with love, not anger • Healing in real time Quote to Hold: “Letting go didn’t break me, pretending did.” Song Mentioned: “Let Me Go” — Daniel Caesar Journal Prompts: • Where am I still holding my breath? • What truth is my body whispering? 3 Gentle Reminders for Silent Seasons

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:a time to be born and a time to die,a time to plant and a time to uproot,a time to kill and a time to heal,a time to tear down and a time to build.Ecclesiastes 3:1-3 Have you ever found yourself in a silent season? The kind of season that you’ve got to be still and quiet yet can sometimes feel so lonely? One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned is that we’ve got to be very mindful of the people we invite into our silent seasons.Sometimes the people we invite into our refining seasons can cloud our judgement and disturb our peace.Sometimes the people we invite into our silent seasons can lead us towards having to restart and begin the process all over. Today’s episode stems from my most recent essay on the cuídate community. I’m sharing some lessons and reminders I’ve been holding on to as I navigate a silent season. What is one word of advice you’d give someone who’s currently navigating through a silent season? Be sure to join us in the Cuídate Community to keep the conversation going.
