    118. You Are Not Responsible for Their Choices: Ezekiel 33 and the Freedom of Letting Go

Have you ever felt emotionally exhausted trying to fix, carry, or change someone else? Maybe it’s your husband. Your child. A friend. A parent. You’ve prayed. You’ve explained. You’ve warned. You’ve tried harder. You’ve carried more. And somewhere along the way… you started carrying weight that was never yours to hold. I know this place well. Not from theory… but from real life. From relationships that felt heavy. From seasons where I thought loving someone meant managing them, fixing them, or holding everything together. But over time, God began to gently show me something that changed everything: I was taking responsibility for things He never asked me to carry. In this episode, I’m walking you through Book of Ezekiel chapter 33 and the role of the watchman—because it brings so much clarity to one of the most important questions we face in relationships: Where does my responsibility end… and where does theirs begin? We’ll talk about: • The difference between warning and controlling • Why so many of us feel emotionally overwhelmed in relationships • How to stop over-functioning and release what isn’t yours • What it looks like to tell the truth in love without carrying the outcome • How this connects to emotional responsibility and the patterns we fall into • And how to begin walking in healthy, biblical boundaries with peace and clarity This isn’t about pulling away or loving people less. It’s about loving them from the right place—without stepping into a role that belongs to God. Friend… You are responsible for your obedience. You are not responsible for their choices. And there is so much freedom on the other side of that truth. 117. When God Humbles the Proud: The Hidden Danger of Self-Sufficiency

There’s a kind of pride that doesn’t look arrogant at all. It looks responsible. Capable. Helpful. Successful. Needed. But underneath it… is a quiet drift into self-sufficiency. And over time, that drift will leave your soul exhausted, your relationships strained, and your identity fragile. In this episode, we take a deep dive into Daniel 4—the story of King Nebuchadnezzar, a man who had everything the world could offer… and still lost his sanity because he believed he was the source of his own strength. This chapter is more than a historical account—it’s a mirror. We explore: The hidden danger of self-sufficiency How pride creates emotional instability in our lives and relationships Why success can quietly pull us away from dependence on God The connection between pride and the Unhappy Kid Triangle How God lovingly humbles us—not to shame us, but to restore us What true repentance actually looks like (it’s not what you think) Why “lifting your eyes to heaven” changes everything If you’ve been feeling: overwhelmed trying to hold everything together emotionally reactive or easily triggered stuck in control, performance, or pressure spiritually dry despite doing “all the right things” This episode will meet you right where you are. Because sometimes the most loving thing God can do… is dismantle the false foundation we’ve been standing on. And invite us into something deeper, steadier, and far more freeing. ✨ Next Steps & Resources If this episode spoke to you, here are a few ways to go deeper: → Read the companion blog: When God Humbles the Proud: The Hidden Danger of Self-Sufficiency → Book a Biblical Counseling or Family Coaching session: (Work through identity, emotional patterns, and relational healing in a safe, Spirit-led space) → Explore the Happy Kid Toolkit + Reality Mat: (Learn how to move from reactivity → responsibility → emotional maturity) → Join me at an upcoming Renew & Restore Women’s Healing Retreat (A space for deep healing, renewal, and Spirit-led transformation) → Subscribe to my weekly email for encouragement + free resources 🤍 A Small Ask If this podcast is encouraging you, would you take a moment to leave a written review on Apple Podcasts? And that is very, very good news. xoxo, Danielle

    116. You Don’t Have to Pretend You’re Okay: A Biblical Path Through Grief and Hope

You don’t have to pretend you’re okay to have real faith. So many men and women are quietly carrying grief, disappointment, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion… while still showing up every day with a smile. Holding it together. Staying strong. Pushing through. But inside? It feels heavy. And somewhere along the way, many of us learned—directly or indirectly—that being a “good Christian” means staying positive, keeping it together, and not letting anyone see us struggle. But that’s not what Scripture teaches. In this episode, we take a deep dive into Lamentations 3—a chapter written in the middle of devastation, sorrow, and emotional exhaustion—and yet right in the center of it, we find one of the most powerful declarations of hope in all of Scripture: “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope…” Together, we explore what it looks like to: process grief honestly without suppressing it understand the difference between lament and emotional spiraling interrupt the thoughts that keep you stuck in despair renew your mind in the middle of suffering and anchor your heart in God’s unchanging character when life feels overwhelming We’ll also connect this to emotional health and the patterns we often fall into—like the Unhappy Kid Triangle—and how unresolved pain can quietly shape the way we think, feel, and relate. This is not about pretending everything is okay. This is about learning how to walk through pain without losing your hope, your peace, or your faith. Because you don’t have to choose between being honest about your grief… and trusting God. You can do both. 🎙️ Listen in, and be reminded: God is not asking you to hide your grief. He is inviting you to bring it to Him. And even here… His mercies are still new every morning. 🔗 Next Steps If this episode encouraged you: Read the companion blog: When You Feel Emotionally Exhausted: A Biblical Path to Hope in the Middle of Suffering Book a Biblical Counseling or Family Coaching session with me Explore The Happy Kid Toolkit Learn more about my Renew & Restore Women’s Healing Retreats Subscribe to my weekly emails for encouragement and free resources And if this message spoke to you, would you take a moment to leave a written review on Apple Podcasts? 115. How Spiritual Numbness Quietly Takes Over Your Heart

Friend… What if the greatest danger to your spiritual life isn’t obvious rebellion… but a heart that slowly stops feeling? In this episode, we take a deep and honest look at Ezekiel 9—a powerful and sobering passage that reveals how spiritual numbness forms over time, often quietly and unnoticed. We’re not talking about perfection here. We’re talking about something much deeper: 👉 The condition of your heart 👉 Your sensitivity to conviction 👉 And whether you’re still responding when God speaks Because in Ezekiel 9, God makes a distinction—not between perfect people and sinful people… but between those who have grown numb… and those who are still tender. In this episode, we explore: How spiritual numbness slowly takes root in your heart and home Why conviction is actually a gift from the Holy Spirit The meaning behind those who “sigh and groan” over sin How this connects to emotional health and the Unhappy Kid Triangle What it looks like to stay soft, aware, and aligned with God This isn’t about fear or shame. It’s an invitation. To wake up. To realign. To come back to a heart that still feels, responds, and stays close to Him. ✨ You don’t have to be perfect… but you do have to stay tender. xoxo, Danielle 🔗 Next Steps & Resources 👉 Read the companion blog + listen in one place: (Insert your blog link) 👉 Book a Biblical Counseling or Family Coaching session 👉 Get the Happy Kid Toolkit 👉 Join me at the upcoming Renew & Restore Women’s Healing Retreat 👉 Free resource for teens & parents: “You’re Not Alone” devotional

    113. When God Says “I’m Not Done”: Healing, Hope, and the Promise of a New Heart

There are seasons in life when grief feels overwhelming… when the pain lingers longer than you expected… and when you quietly wonder, “Why am I still here?” If you’ve ever felt stuck in your healing, discouraged by your progress, or weighed down by what you’ve lost—this episode is for you. In today’s episode, we take a deep, compassionate dive into Book of Jeremiah 31:15–40—a powerful passage that holds both raw grief and radical hope. You’ll hear the haunting image of Rachel weeping… but you’ll also discover the heart of a God who does not rush your pain, shame your weakness, or abandon you in your suffering. Instead, He meets you there. Together, we explore: What it means to grieve with God instead of rushing past it Why your healing may feel slow—and why that doesn’t mean you’re failing How to recognize and replace the lies that often attach themselves to grief The truth about God’s heart toward you in your most broken moments The promise of the New Covenant—and what it means for true, lasting heart transformation This episode is a gentle but powerful reminder: You are not behind. You are not too much. And God is not finished with your story. He is restoring. He is renewing.
