Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom - Ephesians 1:15-23 | Philip Jackson

In the closing verses of Ephesians 1, Paul reveals that he has heard a testimony of the church’s faithfulness. As a result, he has been praying for them to experience the fullness of what he describes in the opening verses of his letter. In this section, we see that God has supplied everything we need to live a successful life through the work of Jesus Christ.Prayer for Spiritual Power (1:15-19)Provision of Power (1:20-23)

    Introduction to Ephesians & God's Plan - Ephesians 1:1-14 | Philip Jackson

What if your salvation was never an afterthought, but part of God’s plan from the very beginning? In Ephesians 1:1–14, Paul unveils the breathtaking work of the Trinity—the Father planned redemption, the Son purchased it, and the Holy Spirit sealed it—all to display God’s glory and draw His people into relationship with Him. This passage invites us to see our lives through the lens of a grace far bigger than we ever imagined.  Greeting (1:1-2) The Father Plans Salvation (1:3-6)  The Son Secures Salvation (1:7-12) The Spirit Seals Salvation (1:13-14)  Questions for now and later: What does this passage teach me about God? What does this passage teach me about man (myself)? What do I do about it?

“Awesome Bless-ed God!” - Psalm 66 | Pastor Justin McKenzie

Psalm 66 opens with a powerful invitation: “Shout joyfully to God!” From there, the psalmist declares why God alone is worthy of our praise. As we study these verses together, may we be reminded of the truth of who God is, so that our lives continue as a living testimony, joyfully proclaiming His awesomeness to all the earth.

    "God's Victorious Presence" - Psalms 68 | Andrew Gabbert

Throughout the centuries, many armies have cried out with the Psalmist, “Let God arise! Let his enemies be scattered!” In the New Testament, Paul even quotes a verse in this chapter to point to Christ as the victor who distributes gifts to men (Ephesians 4:8). In light of Ephesians 6:12, how do we make sense of this Psalm in a culture averse to an us-versus-them mentality? What does this chapter have for an anti-imperialist society? What do we really mean when we say that Christ is King?

"The Extent of the Father's Love" - Psalms 103 | Justin Romaine

Psalm 103 is a call to praise the Lord with our inmost being. David pours out a description of God's benefits, revealing to us the dramatic extent of the love God has for His children. As we are reminded of His benefits, this should spur us to praise God alongside all of creation.
