Growth Is Not Comfortable｜Good Game Podcast EP.003

Welcome to Episode 003 of the Good Game Podcast. Building on our previous discussion on failure, this episode explores the concept of growth, not as a comfortable process, but as a necessary and often challenging transformation. Drawing from Stoic philosophy and Pragmatism, the hosts discuss whether growth is about enduring hardship or actively solving problems in a structured and intentional way. From an academic perspective, the conversation also examines how scholars and students can move beyond repetitive research patterns. Topics include developing original research ideas, trusting one’s intuition before engaging deeply with existing literature, and approaching academic work with a problem-solving mindset.

Why Do We Feel Like Failures?｜Good Game EP.002

[English] Why do people feel like they have failed—even when they are doing reasonably well? In this episode of Good Game Podcast, DRE and Brofessor discuss how expectations shape our perception of success and failure. Inspired by Stoic philosophy and Aristotelian ideas, they argue that failure often occurs when expectations grow faster than our actions, resources, or preparation. Through stories from their academic careers, they also reflect on how social media comparisons and unrealistic standards can distort our sense of achievement. The episode reminds listeners that understanding our strengths, weaknesses, and limitations is essential for developing a sustainable “Good Game” in life.
