EP 101: Alpha-Gal Syndrome (AGS) - Missy Wolf's Journey with the Red Meat Allergy

In this episode, I sit down with Missy Wolf to share her eye-opening journey with Alpha-Gal Syndrome (AGS). Missy's story began back in 2019, at a time when AGS was not widely recognized or understood.  Due to the rarity and complexity of her case, the CDC became directly involved, conducting monthly check-ins to help gather data and better understand this emerging condition. We talk about what AGS really is. It is a reaction to a sugar molecule found in mammalian products, and it goes far beyond just avoiding red meat. From hidden exposures to unexpected triggers, Missy shares the realities of navigating a condition that can show up in ways most people would never imagine. This conversation brings awareness, insight and hope to anyone dealing with chronic illness, mysterious symptoms or a new diagnosis. Stay tuned for Missy's upcoming book release in late 2026, Rise Anyway. Don't miss out—download, add, or follow to stay tuned for our episodes and new stories every Wednesday. The Mouth-Body Connection: How Oral Health Impacts Chronic Illness

In today's episode we’re diving into one of the most overlooked yet critically important pieces of the chronic illness puzzle — the mouth. Joining me is Dr. Alexander Volchonok, founder of TetraHealth Centers and a nationally recognized leader in biologic dentistry. Today’s conversation will explore how biologic dentistry connects the dots between oral health and systemic illness. Biologic dentistry is not just about teeth — it’s about understanding the mouth as an integral part of the immune and neurological systems. Dr Alex covers topics like mercury fillings, root canals, TMJ, and everything you need to understand the mouth-body connection. These issues often go undetected in conventional models of care, so this episode is a must-listen for patients and practitioners seeking answers when traditional approaches fall short. Dr Alex and his team use advanced diagnostics such as 3D CBCT imaging, biocompatibility testing, ozone protocols, and meticulous surgical techniques. TetraHealth helps patients reduce inflammatory burden and restore physiologic balance. TetraHealth also offers telehealth consultations. Dr Alex is generously offering a $100 discount on initial consults for listeners who mention this podcast.  For more information: mytetrahealth.com Instagram: Tetrahealth Biologic Dentistry Don't miss out—download, add, or follow to stay tuned for our episodes and new stories every Wednesday. The Truth Behind Intrusive Thoughts: Brittney's Journey to the Real Diagnosis and Reclaiming Her Life

In today's episode, I'm joined by Brittney as she opens up in what may be the most raw, real, and emotional conversation I've ever been a part of.  Brittney shares her journey as a mother whose life was changed dramatically after the birth of her second child.  What began as anxiety and leg pain quickly escalated into severe intrusive thoughts that eventually led her to admitting herself into a psychiatric facility, desperate for answers. She eventually learned of her true diagnosis: PANS, Lyme & co-infections. Her healing journey started at Sanoviv in Mexico, an inpatient medical facility that addressed every layer of her illness, including physical treatment, nutrition and mental health care.  Through intensive therapies including hyperthermia, FMT, and Plasmapheresis she began reclaiming her life. This episode is a powerful testimony of resilience, faith and the importance of proper diagnosis.  It is a reminder that when symptoms are dismissed or misunderstood, the story is not over. There is hope, there are answers, and healing is possible. In today's episode, I'm joined by Dr. Cory Tichauer, founder of Bear Creek Naturopathic Clinic and co-founder of Jivora Health.
