The Truth Behind Intrusive Thoughts: Brittney's Journey to the Real Diagnosis and Reclaiming Her Life

In today's episode, I'm joined by Brittney as she opens up in what may be the most raw, real, and emotional conversation I've ever been a part of.  Brittney shares her journey as a mother whose life was changed dramatically after the birth of her second child.  What began as anxiety and leg pain quickly escalated into severe intrusive thoughts that eventually led her to admitting herself into a psychiatric facility, desperate for answers. She eventually learned of her true diagnosis: PANS, Lyme & co-infections. Her healing journey started at Sanoviv in Mexico, an inpatient medical facility that addressed every layer of her illness, including physical treatment, nutrition and mental health care.  Through intensive therapies including hyperthermia, FMT, and Plasmapheresis she began reclaiming her life. This episode is a powerful testimony of resilience, faith and the importance of proper diagnosis.  It is a reminder that when symptoms are dismissed or misunderstood, the story is not over. There is hope, there are answers, and healing is possible. In today's episode, I'm joined by Dr. Cory Tichauer, founder of Bear Creek Naturopathic Clinic and co-founder of Jivora Health. When Trauma Unlocks Symptoms: Healing the Layers with Demaree

In this powerful and vulnerable episode, I'm joined by Demaree, a nurse who shares her deeply personal healing journey. Although she believes she had been infected for years, it was a traumatic car accident that ultimately caused her symptoms to surface. We then take a deeper dive into the role of trauma in chronic illness.  Demaree shares how blocked and unresolved trauma, dating back to her childhood can live in the body and impact recovery.  She opens up about the many layers of healing, reminding us that true healing is not one-dimensional, but more like peeling back the layers of an onion. Together, we discuss the many layers of recovery and why addressing more than just the physical symptoms matter. As a special bonus toward the end of the episode, Demaree's husband, Mike joins us to offer heartfelt insight and encouragemnt from the spouse's side of the healing journey.  Whether you're on the journey yourself or supporting a loved one, this episode is raw, honest and filled with hope. Nicole Refused To Accept MS: A Mother's Journey Through Lyme, Trauma and Healing

In this episode, I'm joined by my guest Nicole, an avid horseback rider who spent years exposed to ticks without fully understanding the impact they could have on the body.  After the birth of her first child, her health dramatically declined.  When she was presented with the potential MS diagnosis, Nicole refused to accept it!  We discuss how Lyme can stay hidden for years/decades and how trauma/major life events can trigger symptoms to come to surface. Nicole also shares the very real fear of thinking outside the box, especially when she was introduced to muscle testing, which felt unfamiliar and uncertain at first.  Despite that fear, she chose to trust the process; and ultimately it became the game changer in her healing journey.  With intention and focus, Nicole shares how she carefully allocated her energy and her financial resources, choosing education and self-advocacy as her most powerful tools. This conversation is a powerful reminder of how educating yourself, listening to your body and working with the right practitioner can change everything. If you'd like to learn more about the practitioner Nicole worked with, you can find her here: Dr Lorraine Spinard (Chiropractor) Shohola, Pennsylvania Don't miss out—download, add, or follow to stay tuned for our episodes and new stories every Wednesday.
