    THE MIKE GORMLEY SHOW -Author of  The Case of the Sexual Cosmos: Everything You Know About Nature is Wrong In 1968, Bloom turned down four fellowships in psychology and neurobiology and set off on a science project in a field he knew nothing about: popular culture.  He was determined to tunnel into the forces of history by entering “the belly of the beast where new myths, new mass passions, and new mass movements are made.” Bloom used simple correlational techniques plus what he calls “tuned empathy” and “saturated intuition” to help build or sustain the careers of figures like Prince, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Bette Midler, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Billy Idol, Peter Gabriel, David Byrne, John Mellencamp, Queen, Kiss, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five, Run DMC, and roughly 100 others.  In the process, he generated $28 billion in revenues (more than the gross domestic product of Oman or Luxembourg) for companies like Sony, Disney, Pepsi Cola, Coca Cola, and Warner Brothers.     THE MIKE GORMLEY SHOW Featuring Johnny "Bee" Badanjeck, musician, singer, songwriter, and painter who has been a member of various rock bands, including The Romantics, The Detroit Wheels, Alice Cooper, and Ted Nugent. At 16, John Badanjek, known as Johnny Bee, drummed for Motor City’s premier rock band, Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels. He delivered one of rock’s greatest drum breaks, according to Rolling Stone Magazine. After the band disbanded in 1967, ”Bee" toured and recorded with Edgar Winter, Alice Cooper, Dr. John, Bob Seger, Ronnie Montrose, Nils Lofgren, and others, providing the backbeat for some of rock's legendary tracks. In 1972, he co-founded The Rockets, showcasing his songwriting skills. He served as drummer and lead vocalist until 1976. Bee’s songs propelled the group to national prominence and consistently charted on the pop music charts (“Can’t Sleep,” “Turn Up the Radio,” “Takin’ It Back”).     THE MIKE GORMLEY SHOW Featuring John McEuen In 1966, McEuen co-founded the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, which gained significant recognition for its distinctive blend of bluegrass, folk rock, and jug band music.  After twenty years with the band, McEuen embarked on a successful solo career in 1986. He released several solo albums and collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Johnny Cash, David Allan Coe, Kenny Loggins, Michael Martin Murphey, and more.  McEuen also showcased his talents as a film and television composer. John McEuen is renowned for his mastery of various instruments, including the banjo, guitar, mandolin, and fiddle, among others.     THE MIKE GORMLEY SHOW Featuring Stewart Copeland Stewart Copeland is a musician and composer, and is known as the drummer and a founding member of the British rock band The Police. Beyond his work with The Police, he has also composed scores for films like Rumble Fish and Wall Street, television shows like The Equalizer, and video games, including the Spyro the Dragon series. He has also explored classical music, composing for ballet, opera, and orchestra.  Stewart's musical journey began in Alexandria, Virginia, but he spent much of his childhood in Beirut, Lebanon, where his father, a CIA officer, was stationed. He discovered his passion for drumming early on, initially inspired by his older brother and later mentored by a jazz drummer. In 1977, Copeland formed The Police with Sting and Andy Summers, achieving international fame and selling over 60 million records. The band's unique blend of rock, reggae, and punk influences made them a defining force in the 1980s. After The Police disbanded, Copeland pursued a diverse career, venturing into film scoring, video game music, and classical compositions. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with The Police in 2003.
