The Elizabeth + Ash Show: A Motorsport Podcast

The only F1-related podcast hosted by industry pros that isn’t a product of industry capture, does give well-informed & incisive insights, isn’t afraid to take positions, informs the audience, & doesn’t treat them like babies. That’s shockingly rare in my experience and is reason enough to listen to it. Some background: I watch F1 only, so this will focus on that content (it’s to E&A’s credit that they’re able to make NASCAR & IndyCar interesting to me when they talk about those series, which I don’t really watch). And I’ve been a fan of their dialogue for a bit too: count me amongst the devastated when the Donut Racing Show was canceled a few years ago. Lo & behold, it’s back & better than before. There are some interesting pods from fans who talk about F1 but they’re not entrenched in it. E&A are entrenched, which means they give us tons of insight. But unlike a lot of the F1 pods from other journalists, they’re willing to be critical & aren’t overly concerned with keeping everyone happy if they think one side is clearly right & one clearly wrong. It’s refreshing. You’ll learn a lot listening to this one, and it does a great job situating whatever is going on in F1 within the broader context of the business & history of F1 & other motorsports. Invaluable & highly enjoyable. Worth mentioning that the pod is unabashedly feminist & queer friendly insofar as those issues arise in the course of events. It’s a fun space to enjoy run by two women who know more wheel than any other American F1 podcaster (save maybe trumpets who is about on their level).

This is a great conversation live, but have been enjoying hearing it again in podcast form! Two women with intimate and unique perspectives in Motorsports reacting to a wide range of racing series! If you like all types of vroom vroom, this show is for you!
