Jen Lovell

Let’s have a moment of real talk. Life is f*****g hard. You and I didn’t get to midlife without hitting a few bumps in the road. Sure, on the surface your life seems pretty great. You’ve accomplished some amazing things. But dig a little deeper and we’ve been through some shit. I’m talking big T traumas. We armored up and battled through…it’s worked for us…until now.  Now, you and I have reached the age where we are done with all the b******t. Time feels more precious and we have the wisdom to know we aren’t going to live forever.  That’s OK because you and I plan on finishing this life strong.  Midlife is our chance to flip the script and experience life on our terms. It’s time to reconnect with our highest selves and reclaim our inner peace. A spiritual journey or a spiritual awakening isn’t about religion. It’s about connecting with yourself and your higher power directly. It’s not just about the woo-woo stuff either. Don’t get me wrong, we are going to explore all things woo-woo…like tapping into our intuition, meditation, manifesting, how to connect with your spirit team, human design, reiki, past lives and so much more. For you and I, it also means figuring out how to love and care for our aging bodies. Plus, it’s time for us to break free from the bubble we've been living in and open our hearts and minds to the world around us. We can change things for the better as a collective. Basically, it’s time for us to become better f*****g people. When we know better, we can do better. Every person’s journey is unique. You may have no idea what your spiritual journey is going to look like. That’s OK, we’re going to figure this out together. We’ll laugh, we’ll cry, and we’ll use too much profanity.  That’s just how we roll. Are you ready?  Awesome. Hop in and ride shotgun with me as we transform and grow through enlightened conversations, practical tips, and inspiring stories. It’s time to embark on this midlife spiritual journey together!

You’re Not The Problem: A Nervous System Roadmap For Midlife

Your nervous system isn’t the enemy, and “try harder” isn’t the answer. Jen Lovell sits down with somatic healing practitioner and author Lori Montry to get honest about what midlife really reveals: the coping patterns that once helped us survive can start running the show, leaving us stuck in stress, overwhelm, people pleasing, emotional eating, and that quiet sense of “What is wrong with me?”  Lori shares her own path from high achievement on the outside to feeling unsteady on the inside, and she reframes the shame loop with one simple truth: you’re not the problem. We dig into nervous system regulation as a real, body-based foundation for sustainable behavior change, including why trauma-informed support matters and how survival mode can show up as both high alert and functional freeze. This is practical and science-aware, from safety and capacity to the role energy plays when you feel exhausted even after sleep.  Then we walk through Lori’s Freedom Framework: regulate first, discover what’s true for you, then build a life that matches it. You’ll hear an actionable way to start today with simple self check-ins throughout the day, what to look for in your body, and how to respond with care instead of control. We also talk about how authenticity can change relationships, sometimes in challenging ways, and why community support can make the discomfort doable.  If you’re ready to stop treating yourself like a project and start listening to what your body has been trying to say, hit play. Subscribe or follow so you don’t miss what’s next, and if the conversation helps, share it with a friend and leave a review. Lori Montry is a somatic healing practitioner, author of You’re Not the Problem, and the creator of the Freedom Framework, a nervous system–based roadmap for sustainable behavior change. She helps people who feel stuck in stress, overwhelm, or self-sabotage understand the survival patterns driving their choices so they can build the safety, capacity, and clarity needed to take aligned action in every area of their lives.  Let's Connect! Live Fully & Die Ready with Niki Weiss

Your family could lose years of photos, messages, money, and answers because of one simple thing: a locked phone. That is the gut-punch question we start with, and it leads to a surprisingly empowering plan for anyone living in the digital age.  We talk with Niki Weiss, a digital thanatologist, founder of ENDevo, and host of the Digital Legacy Podcast, about how to build a “final playbook” that protects your loved ones from chaos when life happens. Niki walks us through a real-time pressure test, including how to set up iPhone Legacy Contact (and where Android users can start with Google Inactive Account Manager), why multi-factor authentication can trigger mayhem, and how to avoid turning your estate into a scavenger hunt. We also dig into the real-world stakes: blended families, underage kids, caregivers juggling aging parents, and the hidden subscriptions and accounts that can surface at the worst moment.  From there, we widen the lens into modern estate planning and digital asset management: password managers, digital vaults, quarterly digital hygiene, and the must-have “crucial doc box” that’s fireproof and waterproof. Niki also brings the future into the room, with conversations about digital twins, griefbots, and who actually owns an AI version of you. We close with beliefs, medical directives, and end-of-life options like Medical Aid in Dying, because your values should guide your plan, not fear or avoidance.  If you want less anxiety now and less burden later, start here. Subscribe or follow the show, share this with someone you trust, and leave a five-star rating and a review so more people build their playbook before it is urgent. Niki Weiss is the Founder and CEO of ENDevo, a digital thanatologist, project management leader, and host of the Digital Legacy Podcast. She helps people and organizations prepare for the realities created when human life, technology, risk, and legacy collide. Her work brings structure to questions most people postpone: What happens to our lives, businesses, data, decisions, and digital identities when we die or can no longer act for ourselves? As artificial intelligence becomes embedded in everyday life, Niki is also examining a more urgent question: how do we keep human agency, ethics, and meaning at the center of technological change? Drawing on experience in healthcare, hospice, project management, risk analysis, AI governance, and digital legacy, Niki turns emotionally complex subjects into conversations that are practical, direct, and surprisingly energizing. Her approach is grounded in one belief: preparation is not about fear. It is how we protect the people, choices, and meaning that matter most.  Let's Connect! Be More & Do Less; ADHD in Midlife with Theresa Lear Levine

If you’ve hit midlife and suddenly your brain feels louder, foggier, and faster to snap, you’re not imagining it. I’m joined by Theresa Lear Levine, founder of Becoming More Me, international best-selling author, and an EFT master practitioner and hypnotherapist who helps ADHD entrepreneurs and high achievers create lasting calm, clarity, and confidence through nervous system and subconscious rewiring. We get real about late-diagnosed ADHD, including what changes when a lifelong suspicion becomes an official label. Then we dig into the question so many women are asking right now: is it ADHD or perimenopause? We talk about how hormonal shifts, especially erratic estrogen changes, can amplify ADHD symptoms like brain fog, emotional dysregulation, task initiation problems, and memory lapses. If you’ve spent years compensating with perfectionism, urgency, anxiety, or people pleasing, this conversation helps you name what’s happening without turning it into shame. Theresa breaks down three emotional states high achievers rarely learn to access: calm, clarity, and confidence, plus why most of us default to pressure as fuel. We also explore practical tools for nervous system regulation, including EFT tapping (and how to use it privately when you’re out in the world) and hypnotherapy for rewriting subconscious beliefs that keep you stuck. Finally, we talk procrastination and completion, including Teresa’s “seven minutes to finish what you started” method and why finishing early can feel strangely unsafe for an ADHD brain. If this hits home, grab the resources linked in the show notes, share this with a friend who’s spiraling in silence, and please subscribe, rate, and leave a review so more midlife women can find this support. A Message From the Other Side; The Story of Brandon Mitchner

A 22-year-old entrepreneur goes out in Lansing, Michigan, and is found the next day in the Grand River. The case is ruled an accidental drowning, but the timeline, the surveillance footage, and one chilling detail keep sticking in our throats: eleven seconds after Brandon Mitchner and his business partner leave the camera frame, the partner reappears alone, runs to a gas station, then takes a cab home without calling for help. If you’re a true crime listener, you already know why that matters.  Jo Figueras joins us with a perspective you do not hear every day, because she is the psychic medium Brandon contacts to deliver messages to the people he loves. We talk through the wild synchronicities that connect Jo to Brandon’s best friend Jason, and then to Brandon’s mom Shirley, who has fought for answers while carrying the weight of grief for years. We also dig into what Shirley does with that grief, including her advocacy for a “duty to act” law and the push for safety changes where Brandon was last seen.  Then the conversation turns spiritual in the most amazing way. Jo shares the one line Brandon gives her when she asks for the truth: “Justice is a human construct.” We unpack closure vs peace, why the nervous system still hurts even when the facts feel “settled,” and what it looks like to heal when the world never delivers a clean ending. We also share what Jo is building now for intuitive development, including Intuition Lab and her coaching certification that blends somatics, human design, and self-trust.  If you’re drawn to mediumship, unsolved death stories, grief healing, or midlife spirituality, hit play, share this with a friend, and please subscribe and leave a review so more people can find the show. She frequently shares content on all things Akashic Records, reincarnation, numerology, astrology, Human Design, mediumship & channeling. Jo has worked at the intersection of intuitive development, personal transformation, and coaching since 2016.  My work has always been centered on helping my clients recognize the wisdom they already carry within themselves as I guided them through spiritual mentorship and intuitive readings. At the core of thousands of interactions, I’ve taught my clients to strengthen their self-trust by deepening their self-awareness. Over the years, she began to notice a gap in both the coaching and spiritual industries. Coaches regularly encourage clients to "trust their gut," yet very few are taught how intuition actually works, how it communicates through the body, or how to help clients build the evidence necessary for lasting self-trust. The Intuition Lab Coaching Certification was born from years of observing patterns across thousands of client conversations and integrating insights from Human Design, astrology, numerology, nervous system practices, intuitive development, and spiritual mentorship into one practical framework. To give her clients the most detailed access to their energetic blueprint, my work has guided me to create the Soul Architecture framework incorporating numerology, astrology, Human Design and the energy of the Akashic Records, as well as The Four Pillars of Intuitive Development™ - Empathy, Felt Truth, Intuitive Perception, and Pattern Recognition.  I have spent years translating complex spiritual concepts into teachable tools that coaches can confidently integrate into their existing work. Halfway To Dead Podcast Website Facebook Instagram email: Jen@HalfwayToDeadPodcast.com

"Parasite Flu" Parasite Cleanse Reality Check

"Parasite Flu 2026" Explosive diarrhea...Time to revisit the need for a parasite cleanse...Parasites are the topic nobody wants to bring up, but the symptoms show up everywhere: sugar cravings you can’t control, insomnia that never fully lifts, IBS, skin flares, brain fog, and that feeling that your body is working against you. Jen Lovell sits down with Kim Rogers, known online for making parasite education painfully practical, to talk about why “I eat organic” doesn’t automatically protect you and why a negative test doesn’t always mean you’re in the clear. We get into the real-world sources people forget: produce that may not rinse clean, seafood and undercooked meat, and water exposure that happens through showers, brushing your teeth, or even handling contacts. Kim breaks down the different categories people lump together as “parasites,” shares what die-off can feel like, and explains why adding a binder like activated charcoal is a crucial step many doctors never mention. We also talk about preparation that supports detox, including the simple but powerful goal of keeping your drainage pathways open so your body can actually move toxins out. Then we zoom out to the midlife angle: how physical stressors can shape mood, mental health, and your sense of peace, plus the claim that parasite activity can spike around the full moon through serotonin changes. You’ll also hear practical guidance on household factors like pets and shared microbiomes, plus how maintenance and seasonal routines can make this feel doable instead of overwhelming. If you’re ready to take your health and clarity seriously, listen, share this with a friend who needs it, and leave a review so more people can find the show. Let's Connect! Spiritual Red Flags: Part 2

“Love and light” can become a trap when it’s used to silence your needs. We’re digging into the spiritual red flags that show up for so many of us in midlife, especially when we’re trying to be compassionate but end up exhausted, overgiving, and easy to manipulate. I talk about why boundaries are spiritual, how compassion and distance can exist together, and what it really means to choose something as hard as no contact while still wishing someone well.  Then we get into a big one for midlife women with childhood trauma and chronic stress: confusing intuition with hypervigilance. Both can make you highly observant, but they feel different in your body. We break down the “urgent and racing” energy of fear versus the “calm and clear” tone of wisdom, plus a simple time test and a set of pause questions to help you separate what you’re noticing from the story you’re adding. We also talk nervous system regulation as a practical spiritual practice, including breathwork, walking, therapy, mindfulness, sleep, movement, and nature.  From there, we zoom out to the healing industry pitfalls: becoming addicted to healing, handing your authority to gurus, and staying stuck in constant courses, retreats, readings, and certifications without real integration. We also name the myth that healing means never feeling negative emotions, and why spiritual bypassing (“everything happens for a reason”) can block grief, accountability, and real validation. If you want a grounded spiritual awakening with humor, discernment, and self-trust, press play, then subscribe, share with a friend, and leave a five-star rating and review so more women can find this conversation. Spiritual Red Flags: A Solo Episode with Jen Part 1

Let's talk about the Spiritual Red Flags nobody is talking about. Your spiritual awakening can be the most beautiful thing that ever happens to you and it can also quietly turn into the thing that makes you anxious, obsessed, and second-guessing every move. We’re getting real about the spiritual red flags that show up when you’re opening up fast, especially in midlife when everything seems to change at once: menopause and perimenopause, divorce, empty nest grief, aging parents, career pivots, chronic illness, and even late diagnosed ADHD. When old identities fall away, it’s easy to start hunting for certainty anywhere you can find it. We dig into the moment when every coincidence starts to feel like divine instruction. We talk synchronicities, confirmation bias, and the difference between urgent proof seeking and the calm simplicity of real intuition. We also look at how easily we outsource our inner knowing to tarot readings, psychics, astrology, angel numbers, and pendulums and how to use tools without becoming dependent on them. Then we go straight at the social and emotional traps: spirituality becoming your entire personality, losing humor and everyday joy, and slipping into spiritual superiority where “low vibration” becomes a judgment. We challenge the idea that certainty equals wisdom, and we question the way “soul contracts” and “everything happens for a reason” can keep you stuck in toxic relationships or workplaces. We close with a reminder that spiritual bypassing is real: your body still needs sleep, nutrition, therapy when needed, and medical care, especially during the hormone shifts of midlife. If you want a grounded midlife spiritual journey that builds freedom, discernment, and self-trust, listen now, then subscribe, share with a friend, and leave a five-star rating and review. Your job title, your relationship status, your “role” in the family, even your reputation in a community can feel like an identity, until life changes and suddenly you are asking, “Who am I without that?” We go straight into that uncomfortable question with Marcia, pulling lessons from her book Soulfulloy and the “10 things I wish I’d known” that can save you years of stress, people pleasing, and self-doubt. We talk about staying in your power when work or friendships get messy, and why holding onto grievance quietly drains your energy. Marsha shares the inner shift that happens when you stop defending yourself and start answering with grounded truth, even if someone else does not agree. We also get honest about approval seeking, pedestalizing “gurus,” and the importance of spiritual discernment so your intuition stays stronger than any trend, teacher, or course. Then we move into practical tools: forgiveness as freedom, comparison as fear, and why your life force energy does not age even if your body does. We explore “the art of allowing” (letting people be without condoning harmful choices), plus high-vibration habits that actually work on a Tuesday, like music, a two-song dance break, sunshine, and a quick reset before a hard task. The anchor idea we return to is simple and sharp: if it’s not love, it’s fear. If you enjoy real-talk spirituality, personal development, emotional resilience, and mindset tools you can use immediately, hit subscribe or follow, share this with a friend who needs a reset, and leave a five-star rating and review so more people can find the show.
