Halfway To Dead, A Midlife Spiritual Journey

Jen Lovell

Let’s have a moment of real talk. Life is f*****g hard. You and I didn’t get to midlife without hitting a few bumps in the road. Sure, on the surface your life seems pretty great. You’ve accomplished some amazing things. But dig a little deeper and we’ve been through some shit. I’m talking big T traumas. We armored up and battled through…it’s worked for us…until now.  Now, you and I have reached the age where we are done with all the b******t. Time feels more precious and we have the wisdom to know we aren’t going to live forever.  That’s OK because you and I plan on finishing this life strong.  Midlife is our chance to flip the script and experience life on our terms. It’s time to reconnect with our highest selves and reclaim our inner peace. A spiritual journey or a spiritual awakening isn’t about religion. It’s about connecting with yourself and your higher power directly. It’s not just about the woo-woo stuff either. Don’t get me wrong, we are going to explore all things woo-woo…like tapping into our intuition, meditation, manifesting, how to connect with your spirit team, human design, reiki, past lives and so much more. For you and I, it also means figuring out how to love and care for our aging bodies. Plus, it’s time for us to break free from the bubble we've been living in and open our hearts and minds to the world around us. We can change things for the better as a collective. Basically, it’s time for us to become better f*****g people. When we know better, we can do better. Every person’s journey is unique. You may have no idea what your spiritual journey is going to look like. That’s OK, we’re going to figure this out together. We’ll laugh, we’ll cry, and we’ll use too much profanity.  That’s just how we roll. Are you ready?  Awesome. Hop in and ride shotgun with me as we transform and grow through enlightened conversations, practical tips, and inspiring stories. It’s time to embark on this midlife spiritual journey together!

The world feels loud, reactive, and engineered to pull your attention into fear. We sit down with angel coach Sue Elliott to get a different playbook: stop feeding what destabilizes you and come back to the only place your power actually lives, right now. Sue shares “harmony vs turbulence” as a simple way to track your internal state, then walks through practical nervous system tools you can use on a hard day, from breath and self-talk to co-regulation through a calm hug. From there, we follow the questions that many people are afraid to ask out loud. Are birth dates chosen? Are death dates predetermined? What happens when we cross over, and is there judgment on the other side? Sue’s answers center on divine unconditional love, soul planning, and the idea that our beliefs can shape our afterlife experience until we remember what’s real. We also explore spirituality beyond shame: how religions can hold truth and still distort over time, and how discernment looks like choosing what helps you feel more loving, grounded, and free. We then zoom out into spiritual awakening and consciousness, including Old Earth vs New Earth language, 3D/4D/5D perspectives, and a practical “evidence book” approach to building trust in intuition. Yes, we even go into aliens, starseeds, Arcturians, and collective consciousness clearing, with an emphasis on staying calm and connected rather than spiraling into speculation. If you’re craving hope that still feels usable, this one is for you. Subscribe or follow, share it with a friend who needs steadiness, and leave a five-star rating and review so more people can find the show. Let's Connect! Sue Elliott is an ancient soul who’s here to help humanity rise up into a higher level of consciousness based in Divine Unconditional Love. Through her decades of work as a coach, writer, and speaker, Sue has already helped millions of people heal old patterns, connect with Divine guidance, and live with greater ease, joy, and peace. While Sue has always been highly sensitive, she led a pretty “normal” life before she started receiving messages from the Angels. For 30+ years, Sue was a magazine editor and writer. She specialized in creating brand-new automotive enthusiast magazines and chef-recipe food magazines, before launching a personal transformation magazine that was sold on newsstands nationwide. Along her (non-linear!) journey, Sue also has owned a couple marketing agencies, served as a spokesperson for the automotive aftermarket, ghost-written two books for actor/environmentalist Ed Begley Jr., and held leadership roles at health technology and education technology startups. Connect With Your Angels featuring Sue Elliott

Midlife can feel like a breaking point, but it can also be the cleanest turning point you’ve ever had: fewer excuses, sharper intuition, and a real hunger for peace. We sit down with Sue Elliott, a longtime angel coach and the author of My Angel Coach, to talk about how divine guidance can move from “woo-woo” to something you actually use when you’re stressed, stuck, or trying to make a big decision. Sue shares her own path from a classic Valley Girl upbringing and a high-achieving publishing career into personal transformation work and, eventually, angel coaching. We get specific about what angel guidance feels like compared to ego, fear, and old programming, and why you don’t need a perfect meditation routine to connect. If you’ve ever worried you’re “doing spirituality wrong,” this conversation offers a simpler, kinder way back to your own inner truth. We also dig into the practical tools from her book: clearing the “gunk” of limiting beliefs and subconscious conditioning, using short attunements to dissolve what blocks your flourishing, and approaching healing without forcing yourself to relive every painful memory. For empaths and highly sensitive people, Sue explains how to ask “Is it mine?” and release what you’ve been carrying for others. And we talk nervous system support you can do in real life: the power of the pause, three deep breaths, soothing practices, and moving emotion through the body. If you’ve been craving clarity, emotional relief, and a grounded spiritual awakening, come listen. Then grab the book links in the show notes, share this with a friend who needs support, and please subscribe, leave a five-star rating, and write a quick review so more midlife seekers can find us. The Infinity Within Featuring Kris Land

Something weird happens in midlife: the old scripts stop working, the noise gets louder, and the truth gets harder to ignore. I sit down with award-winning author and serial entrepreneur Kris Land to talk about what comes after that crack in the surface, when a spiritual awakening starts pulling you toward the divine within and you’re not sure whether you’re losing it or finally waking up. Kis shares the early experiences that shaped his path, including childhood out-of-body experiences and a near-death wake-up call that made “normal reality” feel a lot less solid. We connect that to the surprisingly common midlife question that hits even high achievers: If I did everything I was told would make me successful, why do I still feel empty? From there, we go deep into what Kris found through studying many religions and why he believes the great teachers aren’t here to rescue us, they’re here to remind us of what we already are. We also unpack Kris’s core framework from The Infinity Within: Break Through Fear, Trust Your Inner Power, and Create a Life That Reflects Who You Truly Are. We talk about the four rules, why time and emotion may be the whole point, and how fear and doubt can act like filters that keep us from remembering. Then we get practical with his “trifecta” for conscious creation and spiritual healing: recording wins to weaken doubt, staying in a love frequency by noticing real connection, and reforming your divine identity so you stop living as “small and disconnected.” If you’re navigating a midlife spiritual journey and you want tools that feel grounded, curious, and honest, this conversation is for you. If you enjoy this, subscribe or follow, share it with a friend who’s questioning everything, and leave a five-star rating and review so more midlifers can find this community. Kris Land is an award-winning, conscious entrepreneur, and spiritual teacher whose work explores awakening through fear, remembrance, and inner truth. He is the author of The Infinity Within, a genre-defying book that blends spiritual insight, emotional honesty, and mythic storytelling. Alongside his creative work, Kris is a veteran CEO and serial entrepreneur who has founded 12 high-tech companies, achieving 11 successful exits and one IPO. His decades of real-world leadership bring grounded depth to conversations about healing, purpose, and conscious creation. Jen's Psilocybin Journey...Tam & Ang are back too!!!

Jen shares her first psilocybin experience with honesty and a ton of vulnerability. She used to be the person who did literally not a drug in the world, then midlife cracked her open and she felt a real pull toward psilocybin for healing and growth, not for a fun “trip.”  What followed was a six-hour guided psilocybin journey with trusted sitters, a sacred container, and a lot of honesty about what actually happens when you go in with intention and your nervous system decides to do the work its own way. Tammi Janel and Angela DeCraene join Jen as she shares and helps her with some real time integration during this episode. We talk through the practical and the spiritual: what psilocybin may be doing to brain connectivity, why prep and integration are non-negotiable, and how setting your intention changes everything. I share how I used IFS therapy and parts work to get ready, why I took safety seriously (drivers, dosing, testing, legality), and how the journey unfolded in “rooms” of experience. You’ll hear about the moment I met Athena, the fierce inner guide who kept repeating “we don’t care,” and how that one message still helps me stop rumination and come back to intuition. The conversation doesn’t stop when the medicine wears off. We get real about the critical period after psychedelics, why I was told not to make big decisions for 63 days, and what integration actually looks like when emotional waves hit and old attachment patterns show up. If you’ve been curious about psychedelic-assisted therapy, trauma healing, spiritual awakening, or just doing the inner work in midlife without blowing up your life, this one will give you a grounded view with clear guardrails. If this resonates, subscribe or follow, share it with a friend who’s doing the work, and leave a five-star rating and review so more people can find the show. Let's Connect! Tam and Ang are two psychedelic integration specialists whose distinct worlds — psychic healing, mediumship, and the translation and stewardship of souls' stories on one hand, and clinical psychology, transpersonal research, and attachment-informed healing on the other — converge to offer something genuinely rare in the landscape of expanded states work. Sharing a deep commitment to the preparation and integration of psychedelic experiences, they bring a unique dual lens approach that honors the full dimensionality of these profound journeys — ensuring that every stage of the experience, from preparation through integration, is held with complementary perspectives working in concert. At the heart of their work is a profound belief that every person deserves to live an exceptional human experience — and that with the right support, the transformation made possible through expanded states can become the foundation for exactly that.  They believe that the most transformative support comes from multiple directions at once — where soul wisdom and clinical rigor, story and structure, the seen and the unseen, are all welcomed in. IFS -Why Meeting Your Parts Can Unlock Your Calm, Clarity, And Confidence

Ever feel like different versions of you are steering the wheel at once? We dive into Internal Family Systems as a clear, compassionate way to understand those inner voices—your managers who keep things tidy, the firefighters who rush in to stop pain fast, and the exiles who carry old wounds you’ve been trying not to feel. With Jen, Ang, and Tam at the table, we map how Self with a capital S shows up calm, curious, and confident, and how that Self can lead your inner team without forcing anything or pushing parts away. We unpack how spiritual awakenings in midlife often rile up protectors, why that’s a sign of change rather than failure, and how to respond with patience instead of panic. You’ll hear vivid examples: a “Cinderella” manager sweeping anger into tidy closets, a motorcycle-riding firefighter who neutralizes threats at all costs, and a childhood “humor” protector who kept rooms safe by lightening the mood. Step by step, we walk through the six F’s for meeting a part, the art of unblending when strong emotions surge, and what it looks like to befriend, retrieve, and unburden the younger versions of you who still wait in old inner rooms. If you’re curious about psychedelic-assisted therapy, we also share why IFS has become a core tool for preparation and integration, giving you a grounded map for expanded states.  If this journey resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a quick review—what part are you most ready to meet? Tammi Janel is an intuitive healer and has been working in the healing arts for over 30 years and has a profound understanding of the consequences of being disconnected from ourselves and its impact on our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. She recently developed a unique 7 step method for Soul-led Living called The Devoted Soul Method where she offers immersive group retreats and individual coaching.   Angela DeCraene is a trained psychotherapist currently completing her doctorate in Integral and Transpersonal Psychology, she's also researching the healing potential of psychedelic medicines. Her passion lies in helping people not just have transformative experiences, but meaningfully integrate those insights. 6. SHE-Q And The Return Of Feminine Wisdom with Shelley Takei

    MAR 5

SHE-Q And The Return Of Feminine Wisdom with Shelley Takei

What if the fastest way to heal our relationships—and our politics—starts with honoring feminine wisdom? I sit down with Dr. Michelle “Shelley” Takei, transpersonal psychologist and author of SHE-Q: Why Women Should Mentor Men and Change the World, to explore how empathy, intuition, and embodied spirituality became undervalued—and how we bring them back with courage and clarity. We trace the long arc that sidelined the feminine: from midwives recast as “witches,” to medicine built without women’s data, to religious edits that erased Mary Magdalene’s leadership. Shelley explains why the feminist claim of “no difference” left a gap, and how acknowledging real sex-based differences—like oxytocin’s role in trust and empathy, and testosterone’s dampening effect—can improve decision-making at home and in public life. You’ll hear why women often weigh the collective, how that shows up in budgets and war, and why “women are less moral” was never science—it was a biased definition of morality. We get practical about midlife awakening: disentangling spirituality from religion, learning to trust inner authority, and using nature as a teacher. Shelley shares how mentoring men isn’t nagging or mothering; it’s modeling integration—left and right brain, thought and feeling—and inviting men to step into relational presence one stage at a time. We talk real relationships, divorce trends, and the new archetype beyond maiden and mother: decades of creative authorship where women lead from wisdom instead of apology. If you’re ready to reclaim feminine intelligence without abandoning reason, this conversation offers evidence, language, and next steps. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs it, and drop a review with the one feminine quality you want leaders to elevate next. Your voice helps this movement reach more people. Let's Connect! 7. Inside the MARI Test: Mandala Maps For Midlife Clarity

    FEB 25

Inside the MARI Test: Mandala Maps For Midlife Clarity

What if your next chapter is already speaking to you through simple shapes and colors? We sit down with Michele Takei (Shelley), a transpersonal psychologist and owner-trainer of the Mandala Assessment Research Instrument (MARI), to unpack how a Jungian, intuition-led tool can reveal where you are now and where your energy wants to move next—without collapsing your story into a diagnosis. Instead of long questionnaires and labels, the MARI pairs six “liked” symbols, one “dislike,” and two private “guidance” choices with a rich palette of colors, then places them on the Great Round: a 13-stage developmental map that tracks beginnings, identity, struggle, completion, and transformation. Shelley walks us through the quiet power of the initial mandala drawing, why boundaries show up in heavy outlines, and how a sparkly gold overlay can signal a transpersonal sense of being in the world but not of it. We talk about the speed to clarity this method offers—how an hour of intuitive choices can surface themes it might take weeks to uncover in talk therapy—and why that matters for midlife listeners facing divorce, empty nests, career pivots, or the restless pull toward something more. You’ll hear how MARI complements therapy and coaching, exposes spiritual bypass when our colors don’t match our claims, and consistently delivers direction over diagnosis. We also connect the map to Joseph Campbell’s arc—home, call, ordeal, return—naming that vulnerable moment when you stop fitting your old circle but haven’t yet landed in the new one. If you’ve felt invisible while life changes shape, this conversation offers a kinder lens and concrete footing. Come for the Jungian roots; stay for the practical, soul-honoring guidance that helps you trust your intuition, choose your next true step, and see your whole picture at once. If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a quick review—we love hearing what clicked for you and what you want us to explore next. Let's Connect!
