Some econ shows tend to get sidetracked by different topics, but this show stays on track in regards to economic topics. I love the shows on wealth and income inequality and taxation.

How many children has Alice Evans birthed? How many times has Alice Evans been married?
It used to be “the economic show with Soumaya Keynes”

This was my very favorite show when Soumaya was here. However it has become mediocre since they changed to a male host. It is hard to follow and less informative now.

I am a new subscriber to FT. Discovered this podcast by on Appleplay while driving. The discussions are informative and educational. The guests speak with authority without being pretentious. The interviewer prepares with excellent questions. Five Stars aren’t enough.
Good economic bites

Always feel too short but packs a lot in. Great guests and host.
Really really well done

A well done podcast by a smart host. However the episodes are too short to capture the guests views and the interviews are too formal/not relaxed. Its a podcast, not Fareed Zakaria GPS.
Taking the dismal out of the dismal science!

Soumaya, Long time listener (from trade talks) first time reviewer. Your sharp analysis, ability to break down complex topics quickly while demonstrating their importance, and fantastic guests make the new show a clear winner. I’ve never recommended a podcast to more people! Best, Chad
Great show with balance

Well done like most FT podcasts
Great guests ooor host

In several episodes the host either failed to understand the guest’s arguments or mischaracterized them to make banal alleged truisms consistent with her political views This was most egregious in her interview of Angus Deaton
Conventional wisdom recycled

To call this the worst economic podcast in the audiosphere would be hard because the vast majority are terrible. Only David Beckworth’s Macro Musings is worthwhile though it tends to the narrow and the technical, especially in its discussions of US monetary policy. But this one is noteworthy for the hosts (including when Chris Giles joins Soumaya Keynes) banal questions and the facile answers they get back. The problem is that the topics selected are endlessly covered by the media, almost to the death. If Keynes wishes to bring some freshness to this podcast she should stop running after the all-too familiar big names who regurgitate stale concepts in pompous ways and seek out some unconventional thinkers. The host doesn’t deserve to discredit the name Keynes
