    119. Are You Indulging in What’s Keeping You Stuck?

There’s a difference between feeling something hard and indulging in it. You can feel disappointed, angry, overwhelmed, regretful, or sad without turning it into a story you carry around for days, months, or even years. In this episode, I’m breaking down one of the sneakiest ways we keep ourselves stuck: continuing to create more emotion around something instead of actually moving through it. I’ll teach you the simple process I use... Because feeling your feelings isn’t what keeps you stuck. Living in them does. If you’re tired of carrying the same stories, experiences, failures, disappointments, or overwhelm with you, this episode will help you recognize when you’re processing—and when you’re indulging—and show you how to move forward. If you’re sick and tired of being stuck in patterns, beliefs, and identity, I currently have three spots open for 1:1 coaching. You can book a free consult through this link: https://calendly.com/allisongschedule/claritycall And for the girls in your life, I Choose Me Confidence Camp is starting October 4th in Hammonton for girls ages 11–14. Over six weeks, I’ll be teaching girls how to understand their minds and emotions, work with their inner critic, build self-trust, handle mistakes and hard feelings, and learn that confidence comes from within—not from everyone around them approving of them. 118. How to Stop Using Food to Cope With Life

You’re overwhelmed. Anxious. Avoiding something. Life feels like too much. And suddenly, you want food. Not because you’re hungry—but because for a few minutes, eating gives you somewhere else to go. In this episode of You Get to Decide, I’m taking you inside a moment when I caught myself doing exactly that. I had already started eating to cope when I realized: Wait. I have an option here. After a lifetime of binge eating, I’ve learned that freedom isn’t about having more discipline or controlling food harder. It’s learning how to stay with yourself when life feels uncomfortable. I’m walking you through exactly what I did to interrupt the pattern: how I recognized what I was actually feeling, got curious instead of going into shame, allowed the emotion to be there, and figured out what I really needed. Because overeating, binging, numbing, and checking out are things you do to cope. They are not who you are. And even if you’ve already started, you haven't failed. You can stop. Get curious. Learn from what happened. And choose what happens next. Feel it. Learn from it. Move. And if you want help putting this into practice, I created Beyond the Scale, a free workbook filled with the six shifts that helped me change my relationship with food and my body, plus 45+ of the high-protein, filling recipes I actually eat. If you’d like a copy, email me at coaching@allisongallagher.com and I’ll send it over. :) If you’re ready to go deeper into the patterns, beliefs, and identity that keep you stuck, I currently have three spots open for 1:1 coaching. 117. The 4 Words That Can Get You Unstuck

What if the thing keeping you stuck isn’t your circumstances, your bank account, the food, the person, the failure, or the uncertainty? What if it’s what happens inside of you when you face those things? In this episode, I’m teaching you four words I use constantly in my own life and with my clients: I can hold this. The anxiety. The urge. The disappointment. The uncertainty. The fear of being seen. The judgment. The failure. Even the possibility of receiving everything you want. Because when you learn that you can safely feel an emotion without immediately reacting to it, that emotion begins to lose its power over your decisions. We’ll talk about how to sit with what you’re feeling, calm the body, choose again, and intentionally practice the emotions and beliefs that help you move from fear and stuckness into empowerment. You do not have to wait for your circumstances to change before you feel powerful. You can teach your mind and body: I can hold this. And it is safe for me to move forward. And this is exactly the kind of work I’m teaching inside my I Choose Me Confidence Camp for Girls ages 11–14, starting October 4th in Hammonton, New Jersey. I’m teaching girls how to understand their emotions, process big feelings, work with their inner critic, build real confidence from within, and learn that they can handle what they feel without letting those emotions run the show. This session is also buy one, get one free — $250 total, so your daughter can bring her best friend and they’re just $125 each. 116. The Restrict-Binge Cycle Ends Here

If you’ve spent years bouncing between “being good,” restricting, overeating, starting over, and promising yourself you’ll do better Monday—this episode is for you. I’m talking about why eating less and fearing food can actually keep the restrict-binge cycle alive, what changed when I stopped making food the enemy, and how I’m losing weight today without starving myself, cutting out entire food groups, or white-knuckling my way through it. We talk about calorie deficits, movement, protein, urges, emotional eating, food freedom, setbacks, and the mindset that has completely changed my relationship with food and my body. Because losing weight is one thing. Learning how to trust yourself around food, take care of your body, and stop making every overeating moment mean you failed—that’s the work that changes everything. :) I also invite you to The Power Project started September 1st. 115. The Shortest Way Through The Hard

What if the fact that it’s hard doesn’t mean anything has gone wrong? We live in a world where the internet gives us access to what’s possible—but it also gives us a front-row seat to everyone else’s results. And sometimes, it can make building a business, changing a pattern, losing weight, healing our relationship with ourselves, or creating a life we’ve never had look a whole lot easier than it actually is. The truth? This shit is hard. But hard doesn’t have to mean you’re failing. Hard doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path. And hard definitely doesn’t mean you should quit. In this episode, I’m talking about who we become in the hard, why boring consistency matters more than our brains want to believe, and why fighting, doubting, second-guessing, and sabotaging ourselves often takes far more energy than simply doing the thing. You get to decide what you make the hard mean. And you get to decide who you’re going to be in it. Because the shortest way through the hard might not be finding a way to make it easier—it might be learning how to trust yourself enough to keep going. I also invite you to The Power Project started September 1st. Come spend 30 days with me inside our Slack community where I’ll be dropping daily audios to help you stay aligned, move through the thoughts and patterns that derail you, and become the version of you who can create—and hold—the life you want. 114. Why It’s Taking Longer Than You Thought

Have you ever thought, I should be farther along by now? We almost always underestimate how much time, effort, repetition, and growth it will take to create something we’ve never created before. But the extra effort isn’t the problem. The problem is when we decide that because it’s taking longer than we thought, something has gone wrong. In this episode, I’m talking about what happens when we start fighting against where we are, why doing MORE isn’t always the answer, and why the most important effort isn’t just in what you’re doing—it’s in who you’re becoming while you do it. Because getting the result and becoming the version of you who can actually hold it are two different things. Maybe you’re not behind. Maybe nothing has gone wrong. Maybe this is simply how long your path takes. I also invite you to The Power Project starts September 1st. Come spend 30 days with me inside our Slack community where I’ll be dropping daily audios to help you stay aligned, move through the thoughts and patterns that derail you, and become the version of you who can create—and hold—the life you want. 113. Why You Can't Stop Doing the Thing You Hate

If you keep self-sabotaging.....overeating, overdrinking, scrolling, spending, procrastinating, checking out, or falling into a behavior you swore you wouldn't do again, this episode is for you. We spend so much time trying to stop the behavior that we rarely ask the more important question: What is this doing for me? In this episode, I'm sharing my own experience with compulsive behavior and what I've learned about the protection underneath it. We'll talk about why taking away the behavior doesn't automatically take away what's driving it, the shame cycle that keeps us stuck, and the deeper fear that can live underneath our need to escape, numb, control, or find relief. I'm also giving you five questions to help you get curious about your own compulsive behaviors instead of using them as evidence that there's something wrong with you. Because the behavior isn't who you are. And beating the shit out of yourself for doing it isn't how you change it. And if you want to hear what this actually looks like in real life, come join me for Round 3 of The Power Project. For 30 days, I'm taking you with me through how I actually think, feel, decide + lead myself through my real life—the urges to overeat, the hard days, the moments I don't show up the way I want to, the failures, the spirals, AND the days I'm feeling powerful, creating, selling, making money and going after what I want. You'll hear how I interrupt the patterns in real time, how I talk to myself when things feel hard, and how I access the version of myself I want to be instead of abandoning myself when I'm struggling. We start September 1. It's $49 for all 30 days, and you'll also get access to the previous two rounds of Power Project audios + my masterclass library.
