    Musica Aeterna

There’s a fascinating paradox at the heart of music. As performers we’re always talking about exploring new music — new pieces, new sounds, new genres, new voices. Yet from a purely physical point of view, could it be that there is no such thing as truly new music at all.... Simon Kodurand, Artistic Director of BE, explores the concept of music from a rather unconventional angle.

    Bristol 1904 Arts

With a history dating back to 1894 the Bristol 1904 Arts Club has a rich artistic and musical background. We speak to Jonathan Bird, Club secretary, to find out about the history of the club and its role in Bristol in the 21st-century.

    Roger Huckle

Simon Kodurand talks to Roger Huckle, CEO and founder of the Bristol Ensemble, about his life with the orchestra over the past 25 years.  They discuss the early days of the ensemble, and how music education has become a central part of the orchestra's work in the community.

    Imogen Triner

In this episode we meet Oboist Imogen Triner, principal oboe with the Bristol Ensemble.  We learn about what brought her to Bristol over 20 years ago, and how she has come to love the city's thriving music scene.  We're also introduced to her 3-legged cat, Frodo, and we talk about her dream concert series...subject to winning the lottery of course!
