156 | Jesus Reigns, God Protects and Believers Remain Faithful When the World Trembles (Revelation - Part 4)

Find the full episode here: LivingOnPurposeInChrist.com/blog Companion Resource (Printable): PaulaBehrens.com/store The news can shake your sense of stability, but the book of Revelation lifts our eyes to a throne that never moves. In this episode, we walk through chapters 6–8 and watch as the Lamb opens the seals—not to stir anxiety, but to anchor us in the steady truth that Jesus is not scrambling to keep up with world events. He is gently guiding history toward God’s good and final purposes, even when the pictures feel intense. Together we consider the four horsemen as a vivid reminder of what happens when people place their trust in conquest, control, or comfort instead of the Lord. Then we pause at the fifth seal and hear the honest cry of the martyrs, “How long?” If you’re waiting for healing, reconciliation, direction, or a loved one to return to faith, those words may echo what you’ve been carrying. The sixth seal brings us face-to-face with “the wrath of the Lamb,” and we hold that phrase alongside the beautiful hope of the cross, where Jesus took judgment upon Himself for everyone who trusts Him. Revelation 7 offers a welcome breath of fresh air: God seals His people as His own, and John sees a vast crowd from every nation worshiping together. That vision expands our hearts for evangelism and reminds us who God may be drawing even now. Then chapter 8 surprises us with silence in heaven, followed by the prayers of God’s people rising like sweet incense—an encouraging picture that our ordinary prayers matter more than we realize. If you’re looking for steadier hope in unsettled times, this conversation is for you. 155 | The Throne Room, The Lamb, and the Worship That Changes Everything (Revelation - Part 3)

Find the full episode here: LivingOnPurposeInChrist.com/blog Companion Resource (Printable): PaulaBehrens.com/store Your to-do list can feel endless, the news can feel heavy, and even good responsibilities can quietly train your mind to live in constant alert. When that happens, we don’t just need another reminder to “trust God” we need a clearer picture of who God is and what’s true right now. Revelation 4 and 5 give us that picture by opening the door to heaven’s throne room, where there is no panic and no uncertainty, only worship and steady authority. We walk through why John’s first sight is a throne, how the elders casting down their crowns rewires our obsession with recognition, and why the repeated cry of “holy, holy, holy” expands our small view of God. Then we move into Revelation 5, where the sealed scroll raises the stakes and John’s tears capture what many of us feel about a broken world that won’t heal on our timeline. The turn is unforgettable: the Lion of Judah appears as a Lamb who was slain. We talk about Jesus’ worthiness, the meaning behind the Greek word for “worthy,” and how the cross shows a different kind of power. Finally, we bring it home with practical Christian encouragement: worship as alignment with reality, peace in anxious times, and evangelism that flows naturally when our hearts are captivated by Christ. 154 | Hear What the Spirit Is Saying: When You Drift, Will You Hear Him Calling? (Revelation – Part 2)

Find the full episode here: LivingOnPurposeInChrist.com/blog Companion Resource (Printable): PaulaBehrens.com/store Spiritual drift rarely announces itself. It feels more like waking up mid-drive and realizing you cannot remember how you got here. If you have been wondering whether your walk with Christ has cooled, whether God still speaks when you feel weary, or how to regain the passion you once had, this Revelation study opens chapters 2 and 3 and lets Jesus’ own words do the searching and the healing. We move through the seven letters to the churches and listen for what stays consistent: Jesus knows. He sees the unseen burdens behind your Sunday smile, the compromises you rationalize, the suffering you are carrying, and the quiet faithfulness nobody applauds. From Ephesus and the warning about forsaking first love, to Smyrna’s comfort in hardship, to the cultural pressure faced in Pergamum and Thyatira, the message is honest but never harsh. Even Laodicea’s strongest correction comes with a tender invitation: “Here I am. I stand at the door and knock.” We also unpack the Greek word nikaō (νικάω), translated overcome or conquer, and why biblical victory does not mean an easy life. Overcoming means staying loyal to Jesus through trials, temptation, disappointment, emotions, and noise, trusting the One who has already conquered sin and death. You will leave with practical next steps for reading Revelation 2–3 slowly, using Bible study tools, reflecting with devotions and journal prompts, identifying which letter hits closest to home, and choosing to listen with humility and attention. 153 | God Speaks Most Clearly In Uncertain Times (The Book of Revelation - Part 1)

Find the full episode here: LivingOnPurposeInChrist.com/blog Companion Resource (Printable): PaulaBehrens.com/store The world is loud, and it is frighteningly easy to let headlines, opinions, and daily pressure hijack our attention until we are staring at the storm instead of Jesus. When that happens, trying to manage every anxious feeling and feelings of burnout can take over, leaving even believers who deeply want to reach others for Christ feeling stuck, unsure, and intimidated by spiritual conversations. Processing these heavy emotions begins with a simple shift in focus, because we cannot point others to a Savior we have stopped gazing upon ourselves. That is why we are beginning a seven-part Revelation Bible study by starting where Revelation starts, with the revelation of Jesus Christ. Not timelines. Not speculation. Not fear. We are looking for pure biblical encouragement as Revelation chapter one pulls back the curtain and gives us a fresh view of the glorified Christ. He is radiant, holy, powerful, and near. John receives this vision while exiled on Patmos, which means God is fully able to meet us in our own hard seasons with real comfort and steadying truth. We also dig into the meaning of apocalypse as an unveiling, and why Jesus standing among the lampstands is such a practical reminder that He is present with His church. If you need to hear the command to not be afraid again, this is for you. And if your daily devotions have started to feel like a checklist, you will get a simple invitation to return to presence, awe, and relationship with the living Savior who holds history in His hands. We will also talk about how incorporating aromatherapy and your favorite Young Living essential oils into your study space can beautifully calm a wandering mind and help you settle deeply into the Word. 152 | Do You Have Spiritual Discernment? What If Contending For The Faith Is Love? (Jude Bible Study)

Find the full episode here: LivingOnPurposeInChrist.com/blog Companion Resource (Printable): PaulaBehrens.com/store One of the smallest books in the Bible might be the one we need most right now. Jude is short, direct, and filled with urgent imagery because the stakes are real. Faith is precious, and it can be slowly reshaped by messages that sound spiritual, use Christian language, and yet quietly pull hearts away from Jesus. In this episode, we begin with the grounding truth Jude gives first, not fear, but belonging. We are called, loved by God, and kept for Christ, so we do not respond to spiritual confusion with panic, but with steady faith, biblical encouragement, and a heart anchored in truth. From there, we dig into Jude’s core command to contend for the faith once delivered to God’s people. We talk about why “grace” that refuses obedience is not biblical grace at all, how to recognize hollow spirituality, and what Jude’s vivid descriptions reveal about pride, manipulation, self-serving speech, and the deeper emotions often at work underneath it all. We also walk through Jude’s sobering examples from biblical history, not to stir up fear, but to help you take holiness seriously and stay rooted in Scripture through your Bible study and devotions. Then the tone shifts toward strength and practical help: build yourself up in your most holy faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, keep yourself in God’s love, and wait for the mercy of Jesus. We also explore Jude’s guidance for caring for real people in real trouble, showing mercy to those who doubt, reaching urgently for those near the fire, and using wise caution when compromise is contagious. If you have ever struggled with feeling spiritually weary, sorting through mixed messages, or wanting clearer discernment without becoming harsh, this conversation will meet you with truth and grace. And if simple faith-filled rhythms like prayer, devotions, essential oils, and aromatherapy help you settle your heart before the Lord, this episode will fit beautifully into that space. We end where Jude ends, with hope: God is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glory with joy. If you are hungry for deeper Bible Study, Christian discernment, and a steady way to contend for truth without losing tenderness, press play. 151 | What to Do When You Feel Challenged by Other Faiths and Beliefs (A Study of 2 & 3 John)

Find the full episode here: LivingOnPurposeInChrist.com/blog Want to stand firm in what you believe and love people well? In this episode, we open two of the shortest books in the Bible, 2 John and 3 John, and discover how they speak with surprising force into modern Christian living.  John writes with the clarity of a spiritual father, offering biblical encouragement for those who want to hold onto truth without losing tenderness. He reminds us that the truth of Jesus Christ does not bend to the spirit of the age, and real love does not drift away from obedience. If you have felt pressure to soften doctrine to keep the peace, or to speak truth in a way that shuts people down, this conversation will help you return to a better way: truth and love held together in Christ. We walk through 2 John’s practical warning about deception and false teachers and why discernment matters more than inspirational language or strong feelings alone. John’s instruction about not welcoming false teachers is not a call to cruelty. It is a call to wisdom about endorsement, influence, and what we help spread. That includes what we share online, what we recommend, and who we partner with in ministry. Christianity is not meant to be cold or distant, but it is meant to be clear. If your devotions have left you wrestling with emotions, questions, or the challenge of staying grounded in truth, this episode offers a steady place to pause and listen. Then we move into 3 John, where everyday faithfulness takes center stage. Gaius shows us that hospitality, generosity, and encouragement can make you a fellow worker for the truth even without a platform. We also look at Diotrephes as a caution about pride and control, and Demetrius as a steady example of integrity and a good testimony. If you have wondered whether your quiet service matters, these letters answer with a resounding yes. This conversation is designed to support both your spiritual life and your daily walk, speaking to the real feeling of wanting to follow Christ with clarity, peace, and conviction. Go deeper into these important letters in the companion printable resource at PaulaBehrens.com/store, then subscribe, share with a friend, and leave a review so more women can find faith-focused encouragement. 150 | How to Reach Others For Jesus Without Feeling Pushy (1 John Bible Study)

Find the full episode here: LivingOnPurposeInChrist.com/blog A noisy life can make faith feel blurry. The epistle of 1 John opens with a simple, steady picture: a loving leader sitting close, reminding believers to stay near to Jesus, keep going, and live honestly in a world full of distraction and mixed messages. If you’ve been trying to balance work, family, ministry, and spiritual disciplines while wondering whether your ordinary rhythms can really make an impact for Christ, this walk through 1 John brings clarity and calm. We trace the letter’s big themes: Jesus as real and personally known, fellowship that restores joy, and the grounding truth that God is light. That light doesn’t demand perfection or polished appearances, it invites confession, forgiveness, and freedom because Jesus is our advocate. From there, the writer of this letter gets practical fast, he writes about how obedience grows from relationship, and love for God shows up in love for people. The strongest Christian testimony often isn’t a perfect speech, it’s patient, truthful, compassionate love that stands out in a harsh culture. We also talk discernment and spiritual deception, why knowing Scripture for yourself matters, and how the Holy Spirit helps guide you into Truth. Then the letter lifts your eyes to identity and assurance: those who place their faith in Jesus are children of God, rooted in a love that casts out fear, strengthened by faith that overcomes the world, and invited into confident prayer. John’s closing warning about idols lands close to home too, especially when success, comfort, approval, or busyness start taking God’s place. 149 | I Want to Share My Faith But Don’t Know How: What 2 Peter Teaches Us (Bible Study)

Find the full episode here: LivingOnPurposeInChrist.com/blog Your faith doesn’t usually fall apart all at once. More often, it drifts quietly through exhaustion, compromise, and that nagging sense that you’re not making an impact. In this episode, we slow down and walk through the letter of 2 Peter with a simple goal: to help you grow strong in your faith, stand firm in truth, and influence others for Christ without living under pressure or overwhelm. If you’ve been feeling spiritually tired, scattered in your study of scripture, or in need of fresh biblical encouragement, this conversation will meet you there. Peter writes like a man who knows time is short, and his message is surprisingly practical for everyday faith, daily devotions, and the real emotions women carry as they try to stay grounded in Christ. We talk about God’s promise that He has already given us everything we need for life and godliness, then trace what real spiritual growth looks like as we add to our faith with character, endurance, and love. We also unpack why spiritual forgetfulness makes us ineffective, and how daily time in God’s Word serves as steady remembrance rather than a hunt for something new. From there, we anchor into the authority of Scripture and why the Bible is more than motivational content in a confusing world. Chapter two brings a needed warning about false teachers, discernment, and the difference between messages that sound freeing and truth that actually sets us free. Finally, we sit with Peter’s eternal perspective: God’s timing, God’s patience, and the question that should shape our choices right now: “What kind of people ought you to be?” If you enjoy pairing your quiet time with essential oils or creating a peaceful space through aromatherapy, this episode will fit beautifully into that rhythm as you bring your feelings, questions, and faith before the Lord. It’s a steady, Scripture-rooted invitation to return to truth, strengthen your walk, and keep growing with purpose.
