The Power of Unity || Pastor Jason Sharp

Different gifts. One body. United in love. In “The Power of Unity,” Pastor Jason Sharp teaches about the beauty and strength of God's people working together as one body in Christ. Beginning with Psalm 133, Pastor Sharp reminds us that unity is both good and pleasant. Through 1 Corinthians 12, he explores the importance of every member of the church and explains why God has given different people different gifts and responsibilities. No member is unnecessary, and no gift should become a source of pride or competition. But Paul goes even further. In 1 Corinthians 13, he introduces the more excellent way: love. Pastor Sharp challenges believers to examine not only what they do for God, but also how they treat the people around them. Spiritual gifts and ministry responsibilities are important, but love, humility, and Christian character must guide the way we serve. This message also offers encouragement to anyone who feels they have failed or no longer belong. God's love is not earned through perfect performance, and His desire for relationship remains at the heart of our walk with Him. You'll be encouraged to celebrate others, recognize your place in the body of Christ, release bitterness, and actively bless those around you. Faith that Endures || Pastor Jason Sharp

What happens when the miracle you're praying for hasn't come? In “Faith That Endures,” Pastor Jason Sharp challenges believers to build their lives on the truth of God's Word and continue trusting Jesus through fear, suffering, and uncertainty. Beginning with Luke 13, Pastor Sharp shares the account of a woman who had suffered from an infirmity for eighteen years. Jesus saw her, called her forward, and healed her. Her story reveals the compassion and power of Christ. But Pastor Sharp also raises a difficult question: What happens when God doesn't change our circumstances the way we hoped? Through Jesus' teaching about building on the rock and the experience of John the Baptist, this message explores the difference between a faith that depends on favorable circumstances and a faith that endures through every season. You'll be encouraged to reject the assumption that suffering means God is displeased with you, remain grounded in Scripture, and continue following Jesus even when life is difficult. Primary Scripture: Luke 13:10–17 Additional Scriptures: Matthew 7:24–27; 2 Timothy 1:7; Luke 7:18–23; Hebrews 11:6 Key Takeaway: Faith that endures doesn't depend on the absence of storms. It depends on the foundation we stand upon. About Calvary Our mission is helping hurting people reach their full potential in Christ by serving with excellence. Get Your Peace of Mind Back || Pastor Jason Sharp

Have you ever replayed a conversation in your mind until it became bigger than what actually happened? Have you allowed discouragement, comparison, or uncertainty to influence the way you see yourself and the people around you? In “Get Your Peace of Mind Back,” Pastor Jason Sharp teaches from 2 Corinthians 10:2–6 and Philippians 4:4–9 about spiritual warfare, the power of our thoughts, and the biblical invitation to rejoice, pray, and trust God. Throughout this Wednesday evening message, Pastor Sharp challenges listeners to recognize the difference between what is true and what they have assumed. He addresses the lasting effects of hurtful words, the temptation to define ourselves through comparison, and the importance of allowing Scripture to shape our perspective. He also offers a memorable illustration of what it means to pray with thanksgiving: bringing our requests to God while remembering His faithfulness. In this message, you'll hear teaching on: Recognizing spiritual battles without treating people as enemies. Understanding strongholds and the importance of spiritual growth. Examining assumptions that affect our relationships. Rejecting comparison and embracing our identity in Christ. Rejoicing in the Lord through difficult circumstances. Bringing our needs to God through prayer and thanksgiving. Trusting the peace of God to guard our hearts and minds. Key Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 10:2–6 Philippians 4:4–9 2 Timothy 1:7 Isaiah 9:6 “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:7 (KJV) Whether you're navigating difficult circumstances, seeking greater spiritual maturity, or learning to approach your thoughts and relationships through God's Word, we pray this message encourages you to draw closer to Jesus.
