Curse of Strahd Ep. 35: Finale + A New Dawn in Barovia Pt. 2

Folks, we're finally here. The end of the line. All our efforts have led us to Castle Ravenloft. War wages outside, our allies fight tooth and nail against the legions of foes the Vampire Lord has set in their path. The task is simple - survive. Meanwhile, deep within the catacombs of the highly fortified lair, Call the Lightning prepares to face Count Strahd von Zarovich himself. Many have tried, and all have failed to depose the warlord. Armed with deadly purpose, the Light of Lathander, and some absolutely hulking muscles, the party begins their assault. This final battle goes hard. We've had an absolute pleasure making this, and for those of you hear now listening, we can't thank you enough for your support over the last 10 months making this podcast! Curse of Strahd Ep. 34: The Calm Before the Storm

Hey everyone! Huge welcome to everyone joining on Patreon from Your Mom & Dad - we love to have ya here! We've got some huge news for you today - the campaign finale for Curse of Strahd has officially been recorded, and it's absolutely spectacular. We are so thrilled to drop Part 1 today, with Part 2 (the final battle against the Vampire Strahd von Zarovich) coming next Monday. We've always lived and died by the dice, and those of you who've been keeping up with the episodes know just how much delight and despair these little 20-sided dreams can create. Last week on The Blade's Edge, while they dreamt across the Amber Temple, our heroes received numerous boons to aid in the battle against Strahd. Revitalized and emboldened with their newfound power, Call the Lightning sets their sights on Argynvostholt - the ancestral home of the legendary silver dragon, Argynvost. What was once a stronghold against the undead menace of Barovia now rests as a haunted shell of its former self. Call the Lightning finally tracks down Jimothy at Lake Luna and learns what he’s been up to all these years. Turns out, he’s formed an unusual alliance with a mysterious creature beneath the lake, which we immediately renamed Yoch'Sizzler. The group shares stories, makes deals, and uncovers deep lore about the nature of Barovia and its strange, repeating cycles. Somehow, after a freaky brain-reading sequence, the party becomes a little more... unhinged than before. If that's possible.

Their journey leads to the the ultimate side-quest of them all as they make contact with with a old party favorite...Jimothy himself!
