Can The Stars Align in The Lightning? - The CMR Formcast

Fresh off Another Wil’s impressive win last weekend, the team is gearing up for a big weekend ahead. Tonight, we kick things off with races at Canterbury and Moonee Valley, before Saturday brings action across Newcastle, Bendigo, Eagle Farm, Randwick, and Flemington. The stable is bringing a strong team to Flemington, with some promising horses making their return and six competing in stakes races. The highlight of the day will be the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes, where I Am Me and Growing Empire will go head-to-head.

Tycoon To Count The Clamms? - The CMR FormCast

Before we lift the lid on a big weekend of racing, headlined by the Blue Diamond Previews, which will see WILTSHIRE SQUARE line up in the fillies’ edition, and the G3 Manfred Stakes where we’ll see ODINSON and G1-winning ANOTHER PROPHET head into battle, SOUTHPORT TYCOON returns in the G2 Clamms Seafood Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley tonight. Elsewhere on the Sandown card, blink, and you’ll miss MRS CHRISSIE in the Listed WJ Adams Stakes over 1000m, the ultra-consistent KINGS VALLEY looks to return to the winner's stall following the running of the sixth event, and CHORLTON LANE heads around in the Listed John Dillon Stakes hoping for a little more luck than last time out… At Randwick, YOLO kicks our day off in the opener. Very little went right on debut, but there are enough factors in his favour here to suggest he’ll be fighting out the finish. MISS YOU ELLA’s best form would see her go close in the fifth event before we potentially line up with a two-pronged with QATARS CHOICE and DARLING DOWNS in the sixth. In this week's edition: Get the SELECTIONS from Reece, Pete and Josh Kadlec-Cavanagh for the weekend's meetings.Sign up for the live updates as we head to a market that has produced 1 in 4 of all G1 races while making up just 7.9% of the population.

Ripping Into The Zipping Classic - The CMR FormCast

Caulfield and Rosehill supply the backdrop for racing’s Spring Finale, which sees us rip into Zipping Classic Day with a very strong hand, including a four-pronged attack of the feature, made up of HERMAN HESSE, LE DON DE VIE, MANKAYAN and SMOKIN’ ROMANS. At Rosehill, ST LAWRENCE flies the stable flag in the G3 Festival Stakes as he looks to make it a hat-trick of wins.

Two Titles To Defend - The CMR FormCast

We head into the weekend with plenty of confidence, having assembled a solid hand to take on the feature races across Cranbourne and Kembla Grange. We’ll swing the barn doors open and head across to the track for Cranbourne Cup Day with up to four contesting the Cup, looking to defend our title with Charterhouse winning last year’s edition. There is plenty to get through before that, though, with all runners having genuine winning chances, including NADAL, who lines up in the CMR Slot for the inaugural running of the $1m Meteorite. At Kembla, we have a team of five entered to take on the Group 3 $1m Gong. The in-form GRINGOTTS currently headlines the market, where we, too, are on the title defence after Detonator Jack took out the event last year. And then there’s the Group 1 Railway Stakes, which sees SOCKS NATION and LIGHT INFANTRY MAN head across after an excellent third in the G1 Empire Rose and win in the Chester Manifold Stakes, respectively. Scroll below to get the team’s selections and register your interest in our forthcoming Magic Millions Yearlings Sales campaign. Come Racing!

Making Our Mark in the Rupert Clarke - The CMR FormCast

We tackle the last of the Eastern Seaboard’s Group 1 racing of the Spring with ANOTHER PROPHET lining up in the Thousand Guineas and ANOTHER WIL, JIMMYSSTAR and SOUTHPORT TYCOON looking to follow in the footsteps of CMR alum in Bon Aurum as they take their place in the $1m Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes. Newcastle supplies the backdrop for metropolitan racing in NSW this weekend, with ROYAL MERCHANT stepping out in The Hunter. We’ve gathered up Reece Murphy, Peter Greer, Jack Turnbull, and Katrina Anderson for their insights across both meetings, so hit the button below to listen!

Plenty At Stake(s) - The CMR FormCast

We’re heading into the final leg of the Cup Carnival with tails up following a trio of winners on Oaks Day. We’ll be attacking the card with seven last-start victors, of which an Everest conqueror and a Caulfield Cup champion make up that list. And then there’s the 23-24 Champion Australian Racehorse, PRIDE OF JENNI, who is looking to retain her title in a race that hasn’t seen a successful defence in two decades. At Rosehill, we’re set to saddle up a horse on behalf of The King in the fittingly named (James) Squire Handicap, along with stablemates MORRYL MORAL and NAVAL COMMISSION. ICARIAN DREAM lines up in the Group 3 Golden Gift before we potentially end our day with a three-pronged attack of the $2m Five Diamonds, made up of FREEDOM RALLY, HOLYMANZ and RELENTLESS VOYAGER.

The Great Game’s Great Day - The CMR FormCast

Tomorrow’s racing needs no introduction. Racing lovers will awake with the glee of a toddler on Christmas morning, and we’re heading into the big day with a very talented team capable of capturing plenty of the ~$25m of prizemoney on offer for our connections. With headlines everywhere you look, it’s nigh impossible to capture it in one passage, but the Track Kat and the boys are back, doing their best work on this week’s episode of The FormCast, so hit the link below for a leg up across the Derby Day and Golden Eagle Day cards.
