    Welcome, listeners, to a very expected journey - we’re finally taking on Lord Of The Rings.  Since The Fellowship Of The Ring was released in 2001, no Christmas has been complete for our hosts without a touch of Tolkien’s world. We’re not trying to convince one of us to like something, or to see if we’re still fans - this is an indulgent way of rewatching something we love dearly and then to babble on about it for ages. It is, as Boromir would say, a gift - a gift to ourselves.  Merry us.  This episode starts with a short history of director Peter Jackson’s pre-Rings career, after which we go through the film act by act and just enjoy the heck out of it.  See you next week for The Two Towers.
