    Dispatches from the River: Kika and Tala from TwoToes Creative Studio Join Digital Narrative in conversation with Kika and Tala, best friends and co-founders of Two Toes Creative Studio (https://www.twotoescreative.com), in this field-recorded episode from the Main Salmon River in Idaho.  Kika and Tala are best friends turned co-founders of their own two-person studio, Two Toes Creative. Brilliant artists apart, Kika and Tala embody unabashed and uninhibited creativity that is both inspiring and infectious. Together, they have crafted Idea Camps around the world that bring together creatives in new environments to deeply and playfully reconnect to their creative sparks and new collaborations.  In this episode, Kika and Tala join us from a beach on evening 4 of their Idea Camp on the River 2024 retreat on the Main Salmon River in Idaho, deftly guided by White Otter Adventures (https://www.whiteotter.com/). They reflect on the creative journey that led them to start Idea Camp, which they have subsequently hosted 4+ times in environments varying from Joshua Tree to a coastal mountain retreat center in British Columbia. We touch on themes such as: Holding space  Giving and receiving support Playfulness in creative practice  Inner child behavior in new environments  Creative collaboration while remaining close friends  Hopes, dreams, and fears from the last 2 years, and into the next 2  All while sitting on a beach at dusk, watching the light fade over the sage green river water lapping our toes.  This is a field recorded episode with one mic on a stand set in the sand, so you may encounter differences in audio and volume quality.... and one unique moment where a wasp tried to join the recording in our drink.  This dynamic duo creates spaces for awe, including in how they carry themselves in the world with unmatched humor, joy, playfulness, and brilliant creativity.
